RESUMO

The bacteriological study of vaginal microflora in 24 clinically healthy girls aged 7-8 years was carried out. Two criteria of normal vaginal biocenosis in girls of prepuberal age were proposed. The proportion of hemolytic bacteria in the vagina of a girl of prepuberal age could reach 100% of all microflora, provided the total bacterial count (TBC) exceed average values. A high proportion of hemolytic bacteria in the vaginal microflora of girls of prepuberal age in combination with a high level of TBC (even with TBC not exceeding the upper limit of its normal value) could probably by regarded as a border state. No fungi of the genus Candida should be isolated from vagina in girls of prepuberal age. Facultative anaerobic microflora was represented mainly by Staphylococcus epidermidis and S. saprophyticus. In 64.3 +/- 12.8% of cases bifidobacteria were detected in the girls vagina.

RESUMO

The minimal doses of metronidazole, capable of the irreversible immobilization of Trichomonas in the presence of one antiprotozoan preparation and after the addition of recombinant tumor necrosis factor (TNF), recombinant gamma-interferon and complex immunoglobulin preparation (CIP) into the culture medium, were determined on 4 T.vaginalis isolates, obtained on day 2 after the inoculation of material from the mucous membrane of the urogenital organs of patients (incubation at 37 degrees C). After 12-hour incubation of Trichomonas with immunobiological preparations their sensitivity to metronidazole increased 2-fold. After the simultaneous introduction of TNF, gamma-interferon and CIP into the culture medium, the sensitivity of Trichomonas to the action of metronidazole increased 5- to 7-fold. The introduction of an additional dose of TNF into the culture medium, but without CIP led to the preservation of the motility in a small number of these microorganisms. The use of human albumin instead of CIP at the same concentration (15 g/l) in the presence of TNF and gamma-interferon ensured the complete immobilization of Trichomonas in all isolates.

RESUMO

Seasonal changes of the constant electric field of healthy people of various age groups were studied. The constant electric field was shown to be characterized by a fine structure of distribution of electric potential differences (EPD) along the skin in relation to a referent point located on the neck in the intersection region of trapeziform and clavicular-nipple muscles. The constant electric field of the people of all ages undergoes seasonal changes involving displacement of all EPD values to the positive region during autumn-winter period as compared to the spring-summer one. It is suggested that such EPD change is conditioned by a change of the organism metabolic activity. The discovered differences in EPD displacement values of various age groups can serve as physiological characteristics of transitional processes in the growing organisms.

RESUMO

The authors' findings helped develop schedules of osteogenesis stimulation in cases when this process was shifted towards resorption (periodontosis), as well as develop a method for determining periodontitis stage and the ability of the body to regeneration.

RESUMO

Fine structure of distribution of electric potential difference (EPD) in human skin of some points on arms, body and face relative to a referent point on the neck was investigated. Diurnal variations of EPD fine structure for individuals and seasonal differences expressed in an increase of the amplitude of variations and shift of EPD mean values to the positive region in winter as compared with summer were observed. The indicated peculiarities are connected with external factors and reflect changes of metabolic activity of organism living activity processes.

RESUMO

In experiments on rats it was shown that morphine and D-phenylalanine in doses of 5 and 100 mg/kg, respectively, produce a similar by the degree increase of pain reaction thresholds at stimulation of paws through the electrified floor of the chamber. Experiments on rabbits demonstrated that the main factor in morphine action is a decrease of excitability and blood filling of the reticular formation of the midbrain and the central gray matter and an increase of excitability of the dorsal hippocamp without significant changes in the frontal cortex excitability. D-phenylalanine also caused a decrease of excitability of the reticular formation but in contrast to morphine failed to change excitability of the dorsal hippocamp and enhanced excitability of the central gray matter.
