RESUMO

Hysteroscopic features of preinvasive and invasive uterine cancer as well as the adjacent endometrium were studied in 103 patients. The following types of early cancer were identified with regard to pattern of growth: a single lesion, multiple lesions and diffuse involvement of the endometrium. On the basis of hysteroscopic signs, tumors were classified into polypoid, plaque-shaped, cystic mucin-producing forms and tumors with predominant atypical vasculature. Clinically apparent endometrial tumors were hysteroscopically classified as circumscribed and diffuse. The former were further subdivided into nodular, polypoid, papillary and cystic mucin-producing patterns. The credibility of hysteroscopic diagnosis was 81.8% for preinvasive and 100%--for invasive uterine carcinoma. Hysteroscopy proved instrumental in uterine cancer diagnosis, particularly, for the preinvasive form since it allows aiming sampling for histological examination to be carried out.

RESUMO

Based on the findings in 163 endometrial cancer patients, it is shown that following their treatment with 17-alpha-oxyprogesterone-capronate (17-OPC) there occur differential changes in some indices of the cell and humoral immunity: less frequent positive results of delayed hypersensitivity reaction (DHR) with the tumor-associated antigen and more frequent ones with tuberculin; less number of positive responses of the Hougne microprecipitation reaction with tumor-associated and embryonal antigens. Simultaneously, the same patients show a reduced functional activity of immune lymphocytes -- RBT and RSFSR.

RESUMO

Under study were the factors of antitumor immunity (RHDT, the reaction of microprecipitation, the functional activity of lymphocytes, RFC and RBT) in 104 patients with cancer of the corpus uteri. It was found that most patients show an impaired immunobiological response, manifested in higher percentage of positive results with RHDT performed with the tumor antigen, and the reaction of microprecipitation with tumor and embryonal antigens, more week RFC and RBT. Immunological indices are getting worse with the process spread and are improved following the combination therapy. The process of treatment however (surgery and radiotherapy) renders a negative effect on immune indices. Normalization of the latter is noted not earlier than 1-3 years after the treatment.

RESUMO

Under study were immunological indices--the reaction of microprecipitation (tumor and embryonal antigens) and HRDT (tumor and tuberculine antigens) in 305 patients with cancer of the uterine cervix. It was found that most patients showed impaired immune responses: an increased number of persons with specific antibodies circulating in blood serum and increased hypersensitivity of of delayed type. The percentage of positive reactions of microprecipitation and HRDT increases as the tumor spreads. The methods of combined therapy generally improve immunological indices, however, the process starts 1-3 years following the treatment.
