RESUMO

Experimental prednisolone administration has been shown to cause osteoporosis in animals. A single administration of fetal tissue--10-day fetal homogeneous tissue at a dose of 0.5 mg into the experimental animal femur improves the bone tissue structure, hastens its remodeling, contributes to elimination of the bone tissue pathologic process in osteoporosis.

RESUMO

Experimental studies proved that ortho-chlorophenol intoxication is manifested by increased serum markers of cytolysis (alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase) and cholestasis (alkaline phosphatase), intensified lipid peroxidation, depressed activity of antioxidant enzymes (catalase), impaired liver functional state. Studies covered protective efficiency of succinate oxymethyluracil and referent medication mexidol for ortho-chlorophenol poisoning.

RESUMO

Actoprotecting properties ofbemitil, tietasol in combination with atropin were studied in red cell membranes and lipid peroxidation of rats poisoned with MI in a dose 320 mg/kg (0.9 LD50). Atropin treatment showed a low effect. The addition of bemitil and tietasol normalized electric charge and osmotic resistance in red cell membranes, activity of superoxide dismutase, catalase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and content of lipid peroxidation products--ketodienes and TBA-reacting products. Efficacy of the combined treatment is due primarily to noncholinergic mechanism of action of bemitil and tietasol--stimulation of endogenic antioxidant systems of erythron and antiradical activity (bemitil).

RESUMO

The authors studied protective efficiency of tietasol and oxymethyluracyl in experiments with animals exposed to 2,4-dichlorphenol and in real chlorphenol production. According to the results, oxymethyluracyl could be recommended to increase resistance against chemicals in occupational conditions.

RESUMO

The contributors use the molecular orbital technique to present, with due account of the metabolism specificity, a quantitative description of the phenol ether inhalation toxicity and their reactivity calculated against the energy of the ether and OH- complex formation. Linear dependencies were identified between the acute and chronic action threshold, MAC and the quantum chemical values of the energy of formation. The dependencies were utilized for forecasting the toxicity and safe levels for 37 substances.
