RESUMO

In this paper, a method based on ion chromatography (IC) with conductivity detector was developed for the determination of impurities including phenyl phosphinic acid (BPA), phenyl phosphonic acid (PPOA) and crylic acid in flame retardant monomer 2-carboxyl ethyl(phenyl) phosphinic acid (CEPPA). Under favorable chromatographic conditions, good linear relationship, sensitivity and reproducibility were obtained. Detection limits of BPA, PPOA and crylic acid were 1.5, 0.5, 0.4 microg l(-1), respectively. Relative standard deviations (RSD) of repeated analyses were less than 2.22% (n=10). The real samples (white crystal) have been tested and rate of recovery were 89-108%. It was confirmed that this method could be used in the analysis of flame retardant monomers.

RESUMO

Monodisperse porous particles, poly(glycidylmethacrylate-co-ethylenedimethacrylate), P(GMA-EDMA) beads with diameter of 7 microm were prepared by a single-step swelling and polymerization method. The polymer particles were advantaged through immobilization of Procion Bule MX-R, which was incubated by epichlorohydrin via the epoxide groups on the particles surface. The Procion Bule MX-R-immobilized P(GMA-EDMA) beads were mechanically stable and acted as the rigid matrix for column chromatography in HPLC mode. The chromatographic properties of the dye-ligand affinity chromatographic stationary phase for biopolymers separation are discussed. This affinity column has advantages of enabling biopolymer separation, high efficiency and low backpressure. Lysozyme and BSA were fast separated within 10min using this affinity column. The column was also used for the purification of lysozyme from chicken egg white.

Chitosan microsphere (CS) was prepared by phase-inversion method as the support matrices. Cibacron Blue F3GA (CB) was covalently attached to the chitosan microspheres, and thus the novel dye-affinity adsorbent was obtained. These Cibacron Blue F3GA-attached chitosan microspheres (CB-CS) were used in the catalase (CAT) adsorption studies. The maximum CAT adsorption capacity of Cibacron Blue F3GA-attached chitosan microspheres was 28.4 mg/g at pH 7.0. Langmuir adsorption model was found to be applicable in interpreting CAT adsorption. Significant amount of the adsorbed CAT (up to 90.6%) was eluted in the elution medium containing 0.5 M NaSCN at pH 8.0. It appears that CB-CS can be applied for adsorption of CAT without causing any denaturation.

Three C(60) derivatives [C(60) (NHCH(2)CH(2)COONa)(n)(H)(n)], n=1, 5, 9] (A, B, C) with different additional number of beta-alanine were synthesized by the control of relative amount of C(60) and beta-alanine added. Hydroxyl radical scavenging activity of the adducts was evaluated in a copper-catalyzed Haber-Weiss reaction by chemiluminescence technology. The 50% inhibition concentrations (IC(50)'s) of A, B, and C were 147.2 micromol/L, 76.3 micromol/L, and 96.2 micromol/L, respectively. The difference should be closely related to the numbers of residual C=C bonds in C(60), steric effect and electron-withstanding effect of amino group especially.
