RESUMO

Objective:To investigate whether adjuvant skin-marker positioning can decrease the set-up errors in overweight patients with thoracic and abdominal tumors. Methods:A total of 60 overweight patients with thoracic and abdominal tumors treated with radiotherapy in the First Affiliated of Fujian Medical University between January 2018 and December 2018 were randomly divided into two groups. In group A, conventional skin-marker positioning was adopted. In group B, conventional skin-marker positioning combined with adjuvant skin-marker position was employed. All patients were immobilized with thermoplastic positioning body membrane with head-body plate fixation. The set-up errors in the right-left, head-foot and dorsoventral directions were obtained from cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan system before radiation delivery. The set-up errors were statistically compared between two groups by using t-test. Results:In group A, the set-up errors in the right-left, head-foot and dorsoventral directions were (4.47±2.91) mm, (5.43±2.61) mm and (3.87±2.40) mm, significantly higher compared with (2.97±1.68) mm, (3.21±1.62) mm and (2.59±1.57) mm, respectively (all P<0.001). Conclusion:Adjuvant skin-marker positioning method can reduce the set-up errors and enhance the positioning repeatability in overweight patients with thoracic and abdominal tumors receiving radiotherapy.

RESUMO

Objective To study the effect of mild hypothermia on MBP level in the CSF of TBI patients. Methods We investigated 36 patients with severe traumatic brain injury and randomized them into two groups, mild hypothermia treatment group and normathermia treatment group. The MBP levels in CSF and ICP and GOS scores in different time-points were evaluated. Results There was no significant difference between the two groups in the MBP level on the 1st day after treatment(P > 0.05).The MBP levels in mild hypothermia group decreased greater than that in the control group on the 7th and 14th day after treatment(P < 0.05).ICP decreased more in mild hypothermia group than in the control group(P < 0.05)on the 7th and 14th day after treatment. Moreover, patients in mild hypothermia treatment group have better outcome than those in the control group(P < 0.05),but there was no significant difference in the death rate between the two groups. Conclusion Mild hypothermia may provide neuroprotection by reducing MBP degradation and stabilizing medullary sheath, thus improving the prognosis of TBI patients.

RESUMO

Objective To study the effect of mild hypothermia on β2- microglobulin (MG) level in cerebrospinam(CSF) of traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients. Methods Thirty-six severe TBI patients were divided into two groups randomly, mild hypothermia treatment group and normathermia treatment group, and the β2- MG level and GOS score in CSF of these patients in different time- point were evaluated. Results β2-MG level increased at first, then decreased gradually, and MBP level in mild hypothermia group decreased greater than the control group( P < 0.05 ),moreover, patients in mild hypothermia treatment group had better outcome than the control group( P < 0.05).Conclusion Mild hypothermia may act as neuroprotection by inhibiting inflammatory response or improving immune regulation.

RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the formation of coronary collateral circulation with intracoronary Doppler ultrasound in pigs after acute occlusion and the influence of nitroglycerin and phentolamine on it.Methods The blood flow spectrun was detected in 14 pigs using intracoronary Doppler ultrasound before and after acute occlusion of the left circumflex artery (LCX) and its response to nitroglycerin and phentolamine. The average peak velocity (APV) and the diastolic systolic velocity ratio (DSVR) were recorded. Results The APV of the LCX decreased significantly at 10 min after acute occlusion (0.97?1.05 vs 25.78?4.36 cm/s,P0.05). Conclusion Intracoronary Doppler ultrasound can be used to evaluate coronary collateral circulation. The formation collateral circulation was insufficient after acute occlusion of coronary artery in pigs and nitroglycerin or phentolamine can improve the blood flow.
