RESUMO

Inflammation plays an important role in heart failure and diabetes mellitus. Traditional serum markers have limited predictive value in heart failure and diabetes. TNFR1 and TNFR2 (TNFR1/2) have been proven to be strongly associated with heart failure and diabetes complications. This study aimed to assess the association of sTNFR1 and sTNFR2 levels and incidental HF risk in diabetes patients. We detected the mRNA, protein, and serum expression of TNFR1/2, their downstream signaling pathway protein NF-kB, and JNK expression and some traditional serum inflammatory markers in a heart failure group without diabetes mellitus or abnormal glucose tolerance (n = 84), a diabetes mellitus group without heart failure (n = 86), and a heart failure with diabetes mellitus group (n = 86).TNFR1/2 were significantly higher in patients with heart failure and diabetes mellitus based on mRNA expression to protein expression and serum expression. However, there were no differences in mRNA, protein, and serum levels of TNFR1/2 between the HF group and DM group. Furthermore, there were no differences between the groups in some traditional serum inflammatory markers. This study demonstrated higher expressions of TNFR, NF-kB, and JNK in patients with heart failure and diabetes mellitus. Compared with traditional serum markers, TNFR1 and TNFR2 are associated with heart failure risk in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.

RESUMO

In-stent restenosis is still a clinic trouble for percutaneous coronary intervention in drug-stent era. The molecular basis of restenosis is intensively associated with inflammation. TLR3 and TLR4 as innate immune factors have been proven to play a key role in atherosclerosis disease. The aim of this study is to study the TLR3 and TLR4 expressions and their downstream signaling proteins in the inflammatory process of restenosis after drug-stent therapy. mRNA and protein expression of TLR3 and TLR4 were detected in peripheral blood monocytes of primary group (n = 38), N-ISR group (n = 36) and ISR group (n = 33). Some inflammatory factors (including TLR3 and TLR4) were evaluated in serum of three groups. mRNA and protein expression of TLR3 and TLR4 and their downstream signaling proteins have shown a higher level in restenosis patients than non-restenosis patients and even primary patients who accepted first stent therapy. In serum, different from some nonspecific and downstream inflammatory factors, TLR3 and TLR4 also show a significantly higher level in ISR group compared with N-ISR group and primary group. This study provides a potential clinical biomarker for in-stent restenosis in drug-stent patients and some interesting data about the role of TLRs and their downstream signaling factors in the inflammatory process of in-stent restenosis. Compared with first stent therapy and non-restenosis patients, it is hopeful that TLR3 and TLR4 are potential noninvasive biomarkers in prognosis restenosis.

RESUMO

This study investigated a mass-transfer process of the removal of SO2 from simulated flue gas by corona discharge combined with Mn(2+) catalysis in wet reactor, including gas migration, liquid phase diffusion, and chemical reaction. The novelty formula of desulphurization efficiency and the flow rate of flue gas, discharge voltage, reaction enhancement factor, and the flow rate of water were established. It is reported that desulphurization efficiency remarkably increased with the increasing of enhancement factor and discharge voltage at 4000 mg m(-3) of SO2 and 0.05 m(3)s(-1) of gas flow rate. However, the desulphurization efficiency had a slightly increase with the increasing of water flow rate. It is realizable that the energy consumption could be reduced to be lower than 0.3 kJ m(-3), which was acceptable for industrial application. The experimental data were well in accord with the calculated results of theoretical model.

RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the safety and clinical effects of radiofrequency single catheter ablation (RESCA)for right ventrieular arrhythmia(RVA).Method A total of 111 patients data in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical College from May 2003 to May 2008,were retrospectively analyzed aged(45.2±16.7)years old including 41 men and 70 women, consisted of 13 patients of ventricular tachycardia(VT)and 98 patients of premature ventricular contractions(PVC).There were 104 casess from right ventricular outflow tract arrhythmia(RVOTA)and 7 cases from right ventricular inflow tract arrhythmia(RVITA).According to use single catheter approach or common technique,electrophysiolo-gical study, pacing and/or activation mapping and Catheter ablation were performed, were separated into two groups.①Single catheter group:27 men and 49 women,ages(44.5±16.9)years old;consisted of 62 patients of RVOT-PVC,9 patients of RVOT-VT and 5 patients of RVIT-PVC.②Control group:14 men and 21 women,ages(46.7±16.5)years old;consisted of 29 patients of RVOR-PVC,4 patients of RVOT-VT and 2 patients of RVIT-PVC.Results Operations in two groups came off smoothly and no ablation related complications in two groups.Procedure time and fluoroscopy time[(55.23±26.24)min and(9.93±5.32)min]in single catheter group were significantly shorter than those in control group [(68.37±21.83)min and(12.96±4.54)min,t=2.76 and 3.09,all P<0.01].Cost in the fromer (12440.32±761.24)RMB were significantly less than those in the latter[(22119.51±1071.07)RMB,t=46.09,P<0.01].Ablated successful rate in the near future,at a specified future date and other parameter were similar in two groups. Conclusions Right ventricular arrhythmia can be ablated with single catheter approach in safety, efficacious, easy to operate and lower cost.

RESUMO

AIM:To investigate the effect of puerarin on pulmonary vessel collagen metabolism in pulmonary hypertension rats induced by chronic hypoxia and hypercapnia. METHODS: Collagen Ⅰ,Ⅲ and their mRNA were observed in pulmonary arterioles by the technique of immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization. RESULTS: ① Light microscopy showed media thickness of pulmonary arterioles was much higher in HH(hypoxic-hypercapnia) group than that of NC(normal control) group, and, vessel cavity turned more straiter in HH group than that of NC group. However, the damage of pulmonary arterioles in HP(hypoxic-pueratin) group was much slighter than that of HH group. ② The levels of plasma ET-1 and lung homogenates Hyr were much higher in HH group than those of NC group( P 0.05). CONCLUSION: Puerarin inhibited the deposition of collagen and improved pulmonary vessel remodeling.
