BACKGROUND: In endoscopic transsphenoidal surgery for pituitary adenoma with suprasellar extension, the prolapse of the stretched floppy diaphragma sellae can obstruct the surgical corridor, posing challenges during pituitary surgery. We have introduced a simple postural change technique to mitigate this issue and are sharing our clinical experience. METHODS: Pituitary surgery is performed on an operating bed where the patient's position can be adjusted. During transsphenoidal pituitary surgery, raising the patient's head to a Fowler's position causes the diaphragma sellae to move upward, while lowering the head to a supine position causes it to descend. This simple adjustment minimizes hindrance from the floppy diaphragm sellae during surgery. RESULTS: We illustrate this technique in pituitary surgery, where diaphragm sellae relocation is necessary. CONCLUSION: A simple postural change technique effectively manages prolapsed floppy diaphragma sellae, enhancing visualization and surgical accessibility during endoscopic transsphenoidal pituitary surgery.

Candida albicans, a part of normal flora, is an opportunistic fungal pathogen and causes severe health issues in immunocompromised patients. Its pathogenicity is intricately linked to the transcriptional regulation of its metabolic pathways. Paf1 complex (Paf1C) is a crucial transcriptional regulator that is highly conserved in eukaryotes. The objective of this study was to explore the role of Paf1C in the metabolic pathways and how it influences the pathogenicity of C. albicans. Paf1C knockout mutant strains of C. albicans (ctr9Δ/Δ, leo1Δ/Δ, and cdc73Δ/Δ) were generated using the CRISPR-Cas9 system. To investigate the effect of Paf1C on pathogenicity, macrophage interaction assays and mouse survival tests were conducted. The growth patterns of the Paf1C knockout mutants were analyzed through spotting assays and growth curve measurements. Transcriptome analysis was conducted under yeast conditions (30°C without serum) and hyphal conditions (37°C with 10% FBS), to further elucidate the role of Paf1C in the pathogenicity of C. albicans. CTR9 deletion resulted in the attenuation of C. albicans virulence, in macrophage and mouse models. Furthermore, we confirmed that the reduced virulence of the ctr9Δ/Δ mutant can be attributed to a decrease in C. albicans cell abundance. Moreover, transcriptome analysis revealed that metabolic processes required for cell proliferation are impaired in ctr9Δ/Δ mutant. Notably, CTR9 deletion led to the downregulation of methionine biosynthetic genes and the cAMP-PKA signaling pathway-related hypha essential genes, which are pivotal for virulence. Our results suggest that Ctr9-regulated methionine metabolism is a crucial factor for determining C. albicans pathogenicity.

BACKGROUND: Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most aggressive type of brain tumor with heterogeneity and strong invasive ability. Treatment of GBM has not improved significantly despite the progress of immunotherapy and classical therapy. Epidermal growth factor receptor variant III (EGFRvIII), one of GBM-associated mutants, is regarded as an ideal therapeutic target in EGFRvIII-expressed GBM patients because it is a tumor-specific receptor expressed only in tumors. Flagellin B (FlaB) originated from Vibrio vulnificus, is known as a strong adjuvant that enhances innate and adaptive immunity in various vaccine models. This study investigated whether FlaB synergistically could enhance the anti-tumor effect of EGFRvIII peptide (PEGFRvIII). METHODS: EGFRvIII-GL261/Fluc cells were used for GBM-bearing mouse brain model. Cell-bearing mice were inoculated with phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), FlaB alone, PEGFRvIII alone, and PEGFRvIII plus FlaB. Tumor growth based on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and the survival rate was investigated. T cell population was examined by flow cytometry analysis. Both cleaved caspase-3 and CD8+ lymphocytes were shown by immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining. RESULTS: The PEGFRvIII plus FlaB group showed delayed tumor growth and increased survival rate when compared to other treatment groups. As evidence of apoptosis, cleaved caspase-3 expression and DNA disruption were more increased in the PEGFRvIII plus FlaB group than in other groups. In addition, the PEGFRvIII plus FlaB group showed more increased CD8+ T cells and decreased Treg cells than other treatment groups in the brain. CONCLUSIONS: FlaB can enhance the anti-tumor effect of PEGFRvIII by increasing CD8+ T cell response in a mouse brain GBM model.

This prospective bi-center study aimed to analyze the outcomes of primary total knee arthroplasty using the Stemmable Tibia Attune system. A total of 100 patients who underwent primary total knee arthroplasty with Stemmable Tibia from January 2019 to December 2021 were enrolled in the study. Radiological outcomes (hip-knee-ankle axis and medial proximal tibial angle) were assessed preoperatively and postoperatively. Clinical outcomes (visual analog scale score, Hospital for Special Surgery score, Knee Society function score, Knee Society knee score, flexion contracture, further flexion, and range of motion) were analyzed preoperatively and at 6 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and 2 years postoperatively. Complications (periprosthetic joint infection and aseptic loosening) were examined. The hip-knee-ankle axis decreased (preoperative: 9.5° ± 6.3°, postoperative: 1.1° ± 2.7°), whereas the medial proximal tibial angle increased (preoperative: 84.6° ± 4.1°, postoperative: 89.8° ± 1.9°). The visual analog scale score, Hospital for Special Surgery score, Knee Society knee score, and Knee Society function score increased postoperatively. The Knee Society knee score indicated above good outcomes (100.0% and 99.0% at 1 and 2 years postoperatively, respectively). The Knee Society function score also showed above good results (98.0% and 93.0% at 1 and 2 years postoperatively, respectively). The range of motion significantly improved (p < 0.001): flexion contracture decreased from 9.10° ± 7.23° to 2.15° ± 2.87°, whereas further flexion increased from 136.05° ± 14.78° to 139.80° ± 10.02°. One patient developed periprosthetic joint infection; no early loosening was observed. In conclusion, Attune primary total knee arthroplasty with Stemmable Tibia not only is safe and effective but also leads to radiological and clinical improvements.

RESUMO

H3K4 methylation by Set1-COMPASS (complex of proteins associated with Set1) is a conserved histone modification. Although it is critical for gene regulation, the posttranslational modifications of this complex that affect its function are largely unexplored. This study showed that N-terminal acetylation of Set1-COMPASS proteins by N-terminal acetyltransferases (NATs) can modulate H3K4 methylation patterns. Specifically, deleting NatA substantially decreased global H3K4me3 levels and caused the H3K4me2 peak in the 5' transcribed regions to shift to the promoters. NatA was required for N-terminal acetylation of three subunits of Set1-COMPASS: Shg1, Spp1, and Swd2. Moreover, deleting Shg1 or blocking its N-terminal acetylation via proline mutation of the target residue drastically reduced H3K4 methylation. Thus, NatA-mediated N-terminal acetylation of Shg1 shapes H3K4 methylation patterns. NatB also regulates H3K4 methylation, likely via N-terminal acetylation of the Set1-COMPASS protein Swd1. Thus, N-terminal acetylation of Set1-COMPASS proteins can directly fine-tune the functions of this complex, thereby substantially shaping H3K4 methylation patterns.

BACKGROUND: Meningioma in the cerebellopontine angle (CPA) without dural attachment is extremely rare. We report a unique case of meningioma derived from the superior petrosal vein without dural attachment. CASE SUMMARY: A 44-year-old right-handed woman presented with a two-month history of headache and tinnitus. Brain magnetic resonance imaging showed a well-defined contrast-enhancing lesion in the right CPA without a dural tail sign. Tumor resection was performed using a right retro sigmoid approach. A dural attachment was not seen at the tentorium or posterior surface of the petrous pyramid. The tumor was firmly adherent to the superior petrosal vein. The origin site was cauterized and resected with the preservation of the superior petrosal vein. A diagnosis of meningothelial meningioma was made. The patient's headache and tinnitus gradually disappeared, and a recurrence was not observed five years after the surgery. CONCLUSION: The rare occurrence of meningioma without dural attachment makes it difficult to determine dural attachment before surgery. The absence of dural attachment makes it easy to completely resect such tumors. Vessels related to tumors should be removed carefully, considering the possible presence of tumor stem cells in the microvessels.

BACKGROUND: Histone H3K4 tri-methylation (H3K4me3) catalyzed by Set1/COMPASS, is a prominent epigenetic mark found in promoter-proximal regions of actively transcribed genes. H3K4me3 relies on prior monoubiquitination at the histone H2B (H2Bub) by Rad6 and Bre1. Swd2/Cps35, a Set1/COMPASS component, has been proposed as a key player in facilitating H2Bub-dependent H3K4me3. However, a more comprehensive investigation regarding the relationship among Rad6, Swd2, and Set1 is required to further understand the mechanisms and functions of the H3K4 methylation. RESULTS: We investigated the genome-wide occupancy patterns of Rad6, Swd2, and Set1 under various genetic conditions, aiming to clarify the roles of Set1 and Rad6 for occupancy of Swd2. Swd2 peaks appear on both the 5' region and 3' region of genes, which are overlapped with its tightly bound two complexes, Set1 and cleavage and polyadenylation factor (CPF), respectively. In the absence of Rad6/H2Bub, Set1 predominantly localized to the 5' region of genes, while Swd2 lost all the chromatin binding. However, in the absence of Set1, Swd2 occupancy near the 5' region was impaired and rather increased in the 3' region. CONCLUSIONS: This study highlights that the catalytic activity of Rad6 is essential for all the ways of Swd2's binding to the transcribed genes and Set1 redistributes the Swd2 to the 5' region for accomplishments of H3K4me3 in the genome-wide level.

Swd2/Cps35 is a common component of the COMPASS H3K4 methyltransferase and CPF transcription termination complex in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The deletion of SWD2 is lethal, which results from transcription termination defects in snoRNA genes. This study isolated a yeast strain that showed significantly reduced protein level of Swd2 following epitope tagging at its N-terminus (9MYC-SWD2). The reduced level of Swd2 in the 9MYC-SWD2 strain was insufficient for the stability of the Set1 H3K4 methyltransferase, H3K4me3 and snoRNA termination, but the level was enough for viability and growth similar to the wildtype strain. In addition, we presented the genes differentially regulated by the essential protein Swd2 under optimal culture conditions for the first time. The expression of genes known to be decreased in the absence of Set1 and H3K4me3, including NAD biosynthetic process genes and histone genes, was decreased in the 9MYC-SWD2 strain, as expected. However, the effects of Swd2 on the ribosome biogenesis (RiBi) genes were opposite to those of Set1, suggesting that the expression of RiBi genes is regulated by more complex relationship between COMPASS and other Swd2-containing complexes. These data suggest that different concentrations of Swd2 are required for its roles in H3K4me3 and viability and that it may be either contributory or contrary to the transcriptional regulation of Set1/H3K4me3, depending on the gene group.

We report a patient with whole neuroaxis dissemination of a sporadic supratentorial hemangioblastoma (HB) for more than 15 years. A 68-year-old female patient presented with severe radiating pain in the right leg. Gadolinium-enhanced lumbar spine MRI showed an intradural mass (2.5 cm in diameter) at the L4 level. The patient had been severely disabled for 22 years after a previous intraventricular brain tumor resection. At that time, the diagnosis was angioblastic meningioma, which was thought to be incorrect. At 14 years after the brain surgery, gamma knife radiosurgery was performed three times for newly developed or recurred supratentorial and infratentorial tumors in the cerebrospinal fluid pathway. The patient underwent lumbar spinal surgery, and a gross total removal of the mass was performed, which confirmed the histopathological diagnosis of HB. We reexamined the old histopathological specimen of the intraventricular tumor from 20 years ago and changed the diagnosis from angioblastic meningioma to supratentorial HB. Six months after spinal surgery, the patient underwent a second spinal surgery and brain surgery, and the histopathological diagnosis was HB following both surgeries, which was the same following the first spinal surgery. Here, we report a sporadic supratentorial HB patient who showed cranial and spinal disseminations for more than two decades along with a literature review.

Gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) has emerged as a highly effective therapeutic modality for the management of intracranial meningiomas. However, the role of GKRS in treating growing meningiomas detected during active surveillance remains unclear. This study seeks to investigate the long-term outcomes of GKRS treatment for growing meningiomas. A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients who underwent GKRS as the primary treatment for growing meningiomas between 2004 and 2021. Growing meningiomas were defined as those exhibiting a > 10% increase in tumor volume (TV) compared to the previous imaging. Fifty-nine patients who received GKRS as their initial treatment were included, with a minimum follow-up period of 12 months. Comprehensive clinical, radiological, and procedural data were analyzed. Serial TV assessments were performed for all tumors before and after GKRS. Tumor progression and regression were defined as a > 10% increase or decrease in TV, respectively, compared to the pretreatment image. At a median follow-up of 41 months (range 15-197 months), TV was unchanged in 16 patients (27.1%), decreased in 41 patients (69.5%), and increased in 2 patients (3.4%). Multivariate analysis revealed that both TV (cm3) (hazard ratio [HR], 1.107; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.002-1.222; P = .045) and volume growing rate (%/yr) (HR, 1.013; 95% CI, 1.000-1.025; P = .04) significantly correlated with tumor progression. Eleven patients (18.6%) experienced new or worsening symptoms. In multivariate analysis, factor predicting new or worsening neurological function was preexisting calcification (HR, 5.297; 95% CI, 1.328-21.124; P = .018). GKRS demonstrates a promising level of tumor control with minimal risk of neurological deterioration when applied to growing meningiomas. These findings provide compelling support for considering GKRS as a valuable therapeutic option following an initial period of active surveillance for these tumors.

The Leksell frame-based transcerebellar approach was proposed with the arc support frame attached upside down to the Z coordinate. This study presented practical tips and considerations for obtaining adequate tissue samples for deep-seated cerebellar lesions or lower brainstem lesions specifically those accessible via the cerebellar peduncle. For practical insights, the Leksell coordinate frame G was fixed to prevent the anterior screw implantation within the temporalis muscle, to avoid interference with the magnetic resonance (MR)-adapter, and taking into account the magnetic field of MR in close proximity to the tentorium. After mounting of indicator box, the MR imaging evaluation should cover both the indicator box and the infratentorial region that deviated from it. The coordinates [X, Y, Za, Arc0, Ringa0] obtained from Leksell SurgiPlan® software (Elekta, Stockholm, Sweden) with arc 00 located on the patient's right side were converted to [X, Y, Zb=360-Za, Arc0, Ringb0=Ringa0-1800]. The operation was performed in the prone position under general anesthesia in four patients with deep cerebellar (n=3) and brainstem (n=1) tumors. The biopsy results showed two cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, one metastatic braintumor and one glioblastoma. One patient required frame repositioning as a complication. Drawing upon the methodology outlined in existing literature, we anticipate that imparting supplementary expertise could render the stereotactic biopsy of infratentorial tumors more consistent and manageable for the practitioner, thereby facilitating adequate tissue samples and minimizing patient complications.

Gene expression in eukaryotic cells is intricately regulated by chromatin structure and various factors, including histone proteins. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, transcriptionally silenced regions, such as telomeres and homothallic mating (HM) loci, are essential for genome stability and proper cellular function. We firstly observed the defective HM silencing in alanine substitution mutant of 80th threonine residue of histone H3 (H3T80A). To identify which properties in the H3T80 residue are important for the HM silencing, we created several substitution mutants of H3T80 residue by considering the changed states of charge, polarity, and structural similarity. This study reveals that the structural similarity of the 80th position of H3 to the threonine residue, not the polarity and charges, is the most important thing for the transcriptional silencing in the HM loci.

The development and differentiation of endothelial cells (ECs) are fundamental processes with significant implications for both health and disease. ECs, which are found in all organs and blood vessels, play a crucial role in facilitating nutrient and waste exchange and maintaining proper vessel function. Understanding the intricate signaling pathways involved in EC development holds great promise for enhancing vascularization, tissue engineering, and vascular regeneration. Hematopoietic stem cells originating from hemogenic ECs, give rise to diverse immune cell populations, and the interaction between ECs and immune cells is vital for maintaining vascular integrity and regulating immune responses. Dysregulation of vascular development pathways can lead to various diseases, including cancer, where tumor-specific ECs promote tumor growth through angiogenesis. Recent advancements in single-cell genomics and in vivo genetic labeling have shed light on EC development, plasticity, and heterogeneity, uncovering tissue-specific gene expression and crucial signaling pathways. This review explores the potential of ECs in various applications, presenting novel opportunities for advancing vascular medicine and treatment strategies.

Background@#The population of Gangneung City in South Korea has shown a gradual increase in the proportion of individuals aged 65 years and older, and the most frequently reported diseases for several years have consistently been periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis. The regional imbalance in the distribution of dental personnel and resources has emerged as a problem of inequality in the use of dental care. It has been advocated to identify areas with disadvantages in dental care and develop public dental policies based on that. This study aimed to develop a customized oral healthcare program for local seniors based on a Public-Private-Academic Partnership, and to evaluate the oral health status of older adults in Gangneung City. @*Methods@#The participants were residents aged 60 years and above in Gangneung City. A questionnaire including general information, systemic health status, and oral health status was administered to the participants. In addition, oral healthcare and education tailored to each individual’s health status were provided once or twice based on their oral health status. The collected data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 for descriptive statistical analysis. @*Results@#Among the older adults in Gangneung City, 75% had at least one prosthesis and exhibited symptoms of gingivitis or periodontitis. Additionally, the modified sulcus bleeding index decreased among participants who underwent the program twice.Over 90% of the participants expressed satisfaction with the program. @*Conclusion@#The program appeared to contribute positively to the oral health promotion among local seniors. Further oral healthcare programs should focus on seniors in rural and old urban areas to reduce disparities in oral health across regions.

Background@#To train dental hygienists to utilize knowledge in practice, an integrated curriculum based on the competencies of dental hygienists is expanding; however, in the field of basic dental hygiene the curriculum is still fragmented and based on segmented knowledge. This study developed an integrated curriculum based on the competencies of dental hygienists in Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, which are subjects for basic dental hygiene that have high linkage and overlap. @*Methods@#After selecting the learning objectives for the integrated curriculum from those of Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, the duties of the dental hygienist in relation to the learning objectives were analyzed. Learning objectives were combined with the duties of a dental hygienist to derive competencies for an integrated curriculum. Referring to the syllabus and learning objectives for each subject, the weekly educational content, learning objectives, and credits of the integrated curriculum were derived. After conducting a Delphi survey to validate the competency and content of the derived integrated curriculum, an integrated curriculum was developed. @*Results@#By using the first and second Delphi surveys, four competencies were developed for dental hygienists that can be achieved through an integrated basic dental hygiene curriculum. In addition, an integrated curriculum including the courses Anatomy, Histology & Embryology, Physiology, Structure and Function of the Human Body/Head/Neck, and Structure and Function of the Oral Cavity was established. @*Conclusion@#This study presents a specific example for developing a competency-based integrated curriculum that can be used as a framework to derive a competency-based integrated curriculum among subjects that can be integrated according to the linkage of learning contents and the competencies that can be achieved.

Background@#Time-domain parameters are less reliable in children due to increased arterial and chest wall compliance. We assessed the ability of indices derived from frequency analysis of photoplethysmography (PPG) and arterial blood pressure (ABP) waveforms to predict the hemodynamic state in children undergoing congenital heart surgery. @*Methods@#We analyzed waveforms after cardiopulmonary bypass period in 76 children who underwent total repair of congenital heart disease. Amplitude density of baseline and amplitude modulation in PPG and ABP by respiratory frequency were obtained using fast Fourier transform analysis and normalized by cardiac pulse height (representing respiratory modulations in venous blood [PPG-DC%] and in amplitude [PPG-AC%] at respiratory frequency). The ratio of amplitude density of PPG at the cardiac frequency (CF) to ABP-CF was used to assess vascular compliance. We assessed volume replacement (ml/kg) and vasoactive inotropic score (VIS). @*Results@#Children requiring volume replacement > 10 ml/kg (15.8%) showed higher PPG-DC% than those not requiring it (median: 52.4%, 95% CI [24.8, 295.1] vs. 36.7% [10.7, 125.7], P = 0.017). In addition, children with a VIS > 7 (22.4%) showed higher PPG-CF/ABP-CF (3.6 [0.91, 10.8] vs. 1.2 [0.27, 5.5], P = 0.008). On receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, PPG-DC% predicted a higher fluid requirement (area under the curve: 0.71, 95% CI [0.604, 0.816], P = 0.009), while PPG-CF/ABP-CF predicted a higher VIS (0.714, [0.599, 0.812], P = 0.004). @*Conclusions@#Frequency domain analysis of PPG and ABP may assess hemodynamic status requiring fluid or vasoactive inotropic therapy after congenital heart surgery.

Background@#The anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic effects of erythropoietin may provide neuroprotective effects. Erythropoietin also modulates autophagy signaling that may play a role in anesthesia-induced neurotoxicity (AIN). Herein, we investigated whether AIN can be attenuated by the neuroprotective effect of erythropoietin in the Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans). @*Methods@#Synchronized worms were divided into the control, Iso, EPO, and EPO-Iso groups. The chemotaxis index (CI) was evaluated when they reached the young adult stage. The lgg-1::GFP-positive puncta per seam cell were used to determine the autophagic events. The erythropoietin-mediated pathway of autophagy was determined by measuring the genetic expression level of let-363, bec-1, atg-7, atg-5, and lgg-3. @*Results@#Increased lgg-1::GFP puncta were observed in the Iso, EPO, and EPO-Iso groups. In the Iso group, only the let-363 level decreased significantly as compared to that in the control group (P = 0.009). bec-1 (P < 0.001), atg-5 (P = 0.012), and lgg-3 (P < 0.001) were expressed significantly more in the EPO-Iso group than in the Iso groups. Repeated isoflurane exposure during development decreased the CI. Erythropoietin could restore the decreased CI by isoflurane significantly in the EPO-Iso group. @*Conclusions@#Erythropoietin showed neuroprotective effects against AIN and modulated the autophagic pathway in C. elegans. This experimental evidence of erythropoietin-related neuroprotection against AIN may be correlated with the induced autophagic degradation process that was sufficient for handling enhanced autophagy induction in erythropoietin-treated worms.

RESUMO

Evaluating the performance of a binary diagnostic test, including artificial intelligence classification algorithms, involves measuring sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, and negative predictive value. Particularly when comparing the performance of two diagnostic tests applied on the same set of patients, these metrics are crucial for identifying the more accurate test. However, comparing predictive values presents statistical challenges because their denominators depend on the test outcomes, unlike the comparison of sensitivities and specificities. This paper reviews existing methods for comparing predictive values and proposes using the permutation test. The permutation test is an intuitive, non-parametric method suitable for datasets with small sample sizes. We demonstrate each method using a dataset from MRI and combined modality of mammography and ultrasound in diagnosing breast cancer.

Objective@#To prospectively investigate the influence of the menstrual cycle on the background parenchymal signal (BPS) and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of the breast on diffusion-weighted MRI (DW-MRI) in healthy premenopausal women. @*Materials and Methods@#Seven healthy premenopausal women (median age, 37 years; range, 33–49 years) with regular menstrual cycles participated in this study. DW-MRI was performed during each of the four phases of the menstrual cycle (four examinations in total). Three radiologists independently assessed the BPS visual grade on images with b-values of 800 sec/mm2 (b800), 1200 sec/mm2 (b1200), and a synthetic 1500 sec/mm2 (sb1500). Additionally, one radiologist conducted a quantitative analysis to measure the BPS volume (%) and ADC values of the BPS (ADCBPS) and fibroglandular tissue (ADCFGT). Changes in the visual grade, BPS volume (%), ADCBPS, and ADCFGT during the menstrual cycle were descriptively analyzed. @*Results@#The visual grade of BPS in seven women varied from mild to marked on b800 and from minimal to moderate on b1200 and sb1500. As the b-value increased, the visual grade of BPS decreased. On b800 and sb1500, two of the seven volunteers showed the highest visual grade in the early follicular phase (EFP). On b1200, three of the seven volunteers showed the highest visual grades in EFP. The BPS volume (%) on b800 and b1200 showed the highest value in three of the six volunteers with dense breasts in EFP. Three of the seven volunteers showed the lowest ADCBPS in the EFP. Four of the seven volunteers showed the highest ADCBPS in the early luteal phase (ELP) and the lowest ADCFGT in the late follicular phase (LFP). @*Conclusion@#Most volunteers did not exhibit specific BPS patterns during their menstrual cycles. However, the highest BPS and lowest ADCBPS were more frequently observed in EFP than in the other menstrual cycle phases, whereas the highest ADCBPS was more common in ELP. The lowest ADCFGT was more frequent in LFP.
