RESUMO

Algal blooms have become a widespread concern for drinking water production, threatening ecosystems and human health. Photocatalysis, a promising advanced oxidation process (AOP) technology for wastewater treatment, is considered a potential measure for in situ remediation of algal blooms. However, conventional photocatalysts often suffer from limited visible-light response and rapid recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. In this study, we prepared a Z-scheme AgBr/NH2-MIL-125(Ti) composite with excellent visible light absorption performance using co-precipitation to efficiently inactivate Microcystis aeruginosa. The degradation efficiency of AgBr/NH2-MIL-125(Ti) for chlorophyll a was 98.7 % after 180 min of visible light irradiation, significantly surpassing the degradation rate efficiency of AgBr and NH2-MIL-125(Ti) by factors of 3.20 and 36.75, respectively. Moreover, the removal rate was maintained at 91.1 % even after five times of repeated use. The experimental results indicated that superoxide radicals (•O2-) were the dominant reactive oxygen species involved. The photocatalytic reaction altered the morphology and surface charge of algal cells, inhibited their metabolism, and disrupted their photosynthetic and antioxidant systems. In conclusion, this study presents a promising material for the application of photocatalytic technology in algal bloom remediation.

Meliasanines A-L, twelve previously unreported tirucallane-type triterpenoids, together with fifteen known ones, have been isolated from the stem bark of Melia toosendan. Their structures and absolute configurations were determined based on HRESIMS, and NMR, combined with calculated ECD and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Subsequently, all compounds except 10 were evaluated for their inhibitory effect on the production of nitric oxide induced by lipopolysaccharide in RAW264.7 macrophage cells. The results indicated that seven compounds (1, 13, 14, 16, 20, 22, and 23) exhibited significant NO inhibitory effects, with IC50 values ranging from 1.35 to 5.93 µM, which were more effective than the positive control indomethacin (IC50 = 13.18 µM). Moreover, the corresponding results of Western blot analysis revealed that meliasanine A (1) can significantly suppress the protein expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase and cyclooxygenase 2 in a concentration-dependent manner. The mechanism study suggested that meliasanine A exerts an anti-inflammatory effect via the nuclear factor-κB signaling pathway by suppressing phosphorylation of P65 and IκBα.

A novel Ag3PO4/ZnWO4-modified graphite felt electrode (AZW@GF) was prepared by drop coating method and applied to photoelectrocatalytic removal of harmful algae. Results showed that approximately 99.21% of chlorophyll a and 91.57% of Microcystin-LR (MCLR) were degraded by the AZW@GF-Pt photoelectrocatalytic system under the optimal operating conditions with a rate constant of 0.02617 min-1 and 0.01416 min-1, respectively. The calculated synergistic coefficient of photoelectrocatalytic algal removal and MC-LR degradation by the AZW@GF-Pt system was both larger than 1.9. In addition, the experiments of quenching experiments and electron spin resonance (ESR) revealed that the photoelectrocatalytic reaction mainly generated •OH and •O2- for algal removal and MC-LR degradation. Furthermore, the potential pathway for photoelectrocatalytic degradation of MC-LR was proposed. Finally, the photoelectrocatalytic cycle algae removal experiments were carried out on AZW@GF electrode, which was found to maintain the algae removal efficiency at about 91% after three cycles of use, indicating that the photoelectrocatalysis of AZW@GF electrode is an effective emergency algae removal technology.

Previous research has shown mixed results regarding the relationship between social class and children's prosocial behavior. The current study aims to further our understanding of these findings by exploring the relationship between social class and children's prosocial behavior in a moral context. Study 1 (N = 833) found that when a target child pursued a morally negative goal and subsequently experienced misfortune, children from higher social class, compared to those from lower social class, experienced greater schadenfreude and exhibited less prosocial behavior. The relation between social class and prosocial behavior was mediated by schadenfreude. Study 2 (N = 389) investigated whether the greater schadenfreude experienced by children from higher social class was due to a weaker empathic response to misfortune or a stronger sense of deservingness. The results revealed a sequential mediation effect of social class on prosocial behavior through deservingness and schadenfreude. A traditional Chinese medicine ingredient, dendrobine, has been demonstrated to have anti-inflammatory properties. However, due to its poor anti-inflammatory properties, its clinical use is limited. Consequently, we have designed and synthesized 32 new amide/sulfonamide dendrobine derivatives and screened their anti-inflammatory activities in vitro. Experiments showed that nitric oxide (NO) generation in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cells was strongly reduced by derivative 14, with an IC50 of 2.96 µM. Western blot research revealed that 14 decreased the concentration-dependent expression of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (INOS). Molecular docking was used to predict the binding of the inflammation-associated proteins COX-2 and INOS to compound 14.

The phytochemical study of Peucedanum praeruptorum led to the isolation of twenty-five coumarins (1-25). Of which, (±) praeruptol A (±1), one pair of previous undescribed seco-coumarin enantiomers were obtained. Their structures were established according to HR-ESI-MS, NMR, X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis, as well as ECD calculation. All compounds were tested for anti-inflammatory activity in the RAW264.7 macrophage model, and eight compounds (7-10, and 13-16) exhibited significant inhibitory effects with IC50 values ranging from 9.48 to 34.66 µM. Among them, compound 7 showed the strongest inhibitory effect, which significantly suppressed the production of IL-6, IL-1ß, and TNF-α, as well as iNOS and COX-2 in a concentration-dependent manner. Further investigated results showed that compound 7 exerted an anti-inflammatory effect via the NF-κB signaling pathway.

Persistent concerns regarding environmental hazards arise from the difficulty in disposing of radioactive plant-based wastes originating from the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (FNPP) in Japan in 2011. In this study, three anaerobic digestion (AD) strategies were proposed: Sole anaerobic wet fermentation, and wet fermentations with either alkaline-heat or ultrasonic pre-treatment, which were employed for long-term anaerobic treatment of a genuine radioactive grass stemming from the FNPP accident. The objectives of this work are to investigate the effects of pre-treatments on biomass conversion efficiency and to gain insight into the leaching behavior of radiocaesium (Rad-Cs) within AD processes. Experimental results indicate that by introducing alkaline-heat and ultrasonic pre-treatments to AD systems, the removal efficiencies of total solids (TS) from the raw grass increased by 60.8 % and 42.5 %, respectively, compared to sole wet fermentation. Pre-treatments have been shown to enhance the stability of AD systems, both in terms of enhancing methane production and mitigating pH fluctuations triggered by the accumulation of organic acids. Remarkably, even though the Rad-Cs leaching rate was highest when the AD system was fed with the alkaline-heat pre-treated grass, it remained unsatisfactory at only 5.77 %. We inadvertently isolated a soil-like component from the raw grass, and analyzed both its proportion in the raw grass and the radioactivity intensity. The results indicate that although the soil constituted only 9.51 % TS of the raw grass, it accounted for a significant 81.35 % of the total radioactivity. The soil, which has a pronounced affinity for ionic Cs, being mixed into the raw grass, was identified as the primary factor limiting the leaching efficiency of Rad-Cs throughout both the pre-treatment and wet fermentation phases.

Pyrogen, often as a contaminant, is a key indicator affecting the safety of almost all parenteral drugs (including biologicals, chemicals, traditional Chinese medicines and medical devices). It has become a goal to completely replace the in vivo rabbit pyrogen test by using the in vitro pyrogen test based on the promoted 'reduction, replacement and refinement' principle, which has been highly considered by regulatory agencies from different countries. We used NF-κB, a central signalling molecule mediating inflammatory responses, as a pyrogenic marker and the monocyte line THP-1 transfected with a luciferase reporter gene regulated by NF-κB as an in vitro model to detect pyrogens by measuring the intensity of a fluorescence signal. Here, we show that this test can quantitatively and sensitively detect endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide from different strains) and nonendotoxin (lipoteichoic acid, zymosan, peptidoglycan, lectin and glucan), has good stability in terms of NF-κB activity and cell phenotypes at 39 cell passages and can be applied to detect pyrogens in biologicals (group A & C meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine; basiliximab; rabies vaccine (Vero cells) for human use, freeze-dried; Japanese encephalitis vaccine (Vero cells), inactivated; insulin aspart injection; human albumin; recombinant human erythropoietin injection (CHO Cell)). The within-laboratory reproducibility of the test in three independent laboratories was 85%, 80% and 80% and the interlaboratory reproducibility among laboratories was 83.3%, 95.6% and 86.7%. The sensitivity (true positive rate) and specificity (true negative rate) of the test were 89.9% and 90.9%, respectively. In summary, the test provides a novel alternative for pyrogen detection.

BACKGROUND: In a previous study, more attention has been given to the psychological state of doctors than to that of nurses although the workload, working hours, and patient contact time are generally higher for nurses than doctors. The current status of nurses' perceived stress, work engagement, and perceived professional benefit during the routine management of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and how their perceived stress affects the other two variables are topics that merit research attention. OBJECTIVE: In this study, the status of nurses' perceived stress, work engagement, and perceived professional benefit during the routine management of the COVID-19 pandemic was investigated to explore whether their perceived stress level has any effect on the other two variables. METHODS: The convenience sampling method was adopted, and 669 nurses from the First People's Hospital of Jingzhou were selected to participate in this study. Questionnaires on perceived stress, work engagement, and perceived professional benefit were used in the survey, and the data were processed using the SPSS 20.0 program for the descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, analysis of variance. RESULTS: The total score of the nurses' perceived stress was 18.58±4.37 points. The total scores of their work engagement (43.32±14.01) and perceived professional benefit (140.23±17.75). CONCLUSION: The nurses' total perceived stress score was at an upper-middle level, and their total work engagement and perceived professional benefit scores were relatively high. Overall, perceived stress has a negative effect on nurses' work engagement and perceived professional benefit. That is, the higher the pressure perception of nurses, the lower the degree of work engagement and perceived professional benefit.

The study aimed to understand Reddit users' experience with helicopter parenting through first-hand accounts. Text mining and natural language processing techniques were employed to extract data from the subreddit r/helicopterparents. A total of 713 original posts were processed from unstructured texts to tidy formats. Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), a popular topic modeling method, was used to discover hidden themes within the corpus. The data revealed common environmental contexts of helicopter parenting (i.e., school, college, work, and home) and its implication on college decisions, privacy, and social relationships. These collectively suggested the importance of autonomy-supportive parenting and mindfulness interventions as viable solutions to the problems posed by helicopter parenting. In addition, findings lent support to past research that has identified more maternal than paternal models of helicopter parenting. Further research on the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on helicopter parenting is warranted.

Pachymaran (PCP), the major medicinal constituent of Poria cocos, has a regulatory effect on immunosuppressive lung injury, but its mechanism of action with respect to gut microorganisms and their metabolites is not clear. The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect of PCP against immunosuppressive lung injury caused by cyclosporine A (CsA), and to reveal its possible mechanism of action via the comprehensive analysis of 16S rRNA and LC-MS. We demonstrated that PCP was effective at alleviating CsA-induced immunosuppressive lung injury by restoring the organ indices and lung tissue morphology and structure. PCP significantly altered the composition of the gut and lung microbiota in mice with CsA-induced immunosuppressive lung injury by increasing the number of beneficial bacteria from the Eubacterium nodatum group, Eubacterium ventriosum group, Akkermansia, and Ruminococcus, and reducing the pathogenic Rikenellaceae RC9 gut group to fulfill its immunomodulatory role. In lung tissue microecology, PCP intervention significantly reduced the abundance of Chryseobacterium, Lawsonella, Paracoccus, and Sediminibacterium and increased the abundance of Alloprevotella. The LC-MS results showed that PCP alleviated the CsA-induced immunosuppression of lung tissue injury. The model serum metabolite Americine decreased the expression of PC(O-18:1(4Z)/0:0). Our results suggest that PCP may be involved in regulating the composition, function, and metabolism of the gut and lung microbiota to reverse CsA-induced immunosuppressive lung injury.

Significant variations in leaf colours, pigment contents, and main taste compounds in young shoots from albino tea plants (Camellia sinensis) influence tea flavour. However, the seasonal metabolic pattern and molecular regulatory mechanism of these metabolites remain largely elusive. Herein, we conducted morphological, biochemical, metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses between an albino tea cultivar 'Zhonghuang 3' ('ZH3') and a green strain 'Tai cha 15' ('TC15') at four-time points (April 12, May 31, July 14, and August 17) to elucidate dynamic changes in these compounds and predict the relationships among transcription factors (TFs), target genes (TGs), and metabolite abundance. Generally, leaf colours and pigment contents were significantly lighter and lower, respectively, in 'ZH3' than in 'TC15' from spring to summer, but were subsequently similar. Compared to 'TC15', 'ZH3' had a lower and broader phenol/ammonia ratio as well as stable caffeine content and showed more significantly different metabolites and differentially expressed genes. The relationship between pigments, main taste compounds, and their biosynthetic genes, as well as TFs and their TGs, had genetic specificity. These results suggested that the biosynthesis of these compounds was probably both season- and variety-dependent. In total, 12 models of the TF-TG-metabolite regulatory network were proposed to uncover the biosynthetic and regulatory mechanisms of these metabolites in tea plants. A high correlation was observed between some structural genes and TFs with the accumulation of these metabolites. These findings provide novel insights into the regulatory mechanisms underlying accumulation of pigments and main taste compounds in tea plants.

In this study, humic acid (HA) enhanced 17ß-estradiol (17ß-E2) degradation by Er3+-CdS/MoS2 (ECMS) was investigated under ultrasonic and light conditions. The degradation reaction rate of 17ß-E2 was increased from (14.414 ± 0.315) × 10-3 min-1 to (122.677 ± 1.729) × 10-3 min-1 within 90 min sonophotocatalytic (SPC) reaction with the addition of HA. The results of quenching coupled with chemical probe experiments indicated that more reactive intermediates (RIs) including reactive oxygen species (ROSs) and triplet-excited states were generated in the HA-enhanced sonophotocatalytic system. The triplet-excited states of humic acid (3HA*), hydroxyl radical (•OH), and superoxide radical (•O2-) were the dominant RIs for 17ß-E2 elimination. In addition, the energy- and electron-transfer process via coexisting HA also account for 12.86% and 29.24% contributions, respectively. The quantum yields of RIs in the SPC-ECMS-HA system followed the order of 3HA* > H2O2 > 1O2 > â€¢O2-> •OH. Moreover, the spectral and fluorescence characteristics of HA were further analyzed during the sonophotocatalytic reaction process. The study expanded new insights into the comprehension of the effects of omnipresent coexisting HA and RIs formation for the removal of 17ß-E2 during the sonophotocatalytic process.

Telomeres are nucleoprotein structures located at the end of each chromosome, which function in terminal protection and genomic stability. Telomeric damage is closely related to replicative senescence in vitro and physical aging in vivo. As relatively long-lived mammals based on body size, bats display unique telomeric patterns, including the up-regulation of genes involved in alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT), DNA repair, and DNA replication. At present, however, the relevant molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we performed cross-species comparison and identified EPAS1, a well-defined oxygen response gene, as a key telomeric protector in bat fibroblasts. Bat fibroblasts showed high expression of EPAS1, which enhanced the transcription of shelterin components TRF1 and TRF2, as well as DNA repair factor RAD50, conferring bat fibroblasts with resistance to senescence during long-term consecutive expansion. Based on a human single-cell transcriptome atlas, we found that EPAS1 was predominantly expressed in the human pulmonary endothelial cell subpopulation. Using in vitro-cultured human pulmonary endothelial cells, we confirmed the functional and mechanistic conservation of EPAS1 in telomeric protection between bats and humans. In addition, the EPAS1 agonist M1001 was shown to be a protective compound against bleomycin-induced pulmonary telomeric damage and senescence. In conclusion, we identified a potential mechanism for regulating telomere stability in human pulmonary diseases associated with aging, drawing insights from the longevity of bats.

Dynamic positioning of endothelial tip and stalk cells, via the interplay between VEGFR2 and NOTCH signaling, is essential for angiogenesis. VEGFR2 activates PI3K, which phosphorylates PI(4,5)P2 to PI(3,4,5)P3, activating AKT; however, PI3K/AKT does not direct tip cell specification. We report that PI(4,5)P2 hydrolysis by the phosphoinositide-5-phosphatase, INPP5K, contributes to angiogenesis. INPP5K ablation disrupted tip cell specification and impaired embryonic angiogenesis associated with enhanced DLL4/NOTCH signaling. INPP5K degraded a pool of PI(4,5)P2 generated by PIP5K1C phosphorylation of PI(4)P in endothelial cells. INPP5K ablation increased PI(4,5)P2, thereby releasing ß-catenin from the plasma membrane, and concurrently increased PI(3,4,5)P3-dependent AKT activation, conditions that licensed DLL4/NOTCH transcription. Suppression of PI(4,5)P2 in INPP5K-siRNA cells by PIP5K1C-siRNA, restored ß-catenin membrane localization and normalized AKT signaling. Pharmacological NOTCH or AKT inhibition in vivo or genetic ß-catenin attenuation rescued angiogenesis defects in INPP5K-null mice. Therefore, PI(4,5)P2 is critical for ß-catenin/DLL4/NOTCH signaling, which governs tip cell specification during angiogenesis.

RESUMO

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) can be detected with enlarged lymph nodes on imaging, but their benignity and malignancy are difficult to determine directly, making it difficult to stage the tumor and design radiotherapy target volumes. The clinical diagnosis of malignant lymph nodes is often based on the short diameter of lymph nodes ≥1 cm or the maximum standard uptake value ≥2.5, but the sensitivity and specificity of these criteria are too low to meet the clinical needs. In recent years, many advances have been made in diagnosing benign and malignant lymph nodes using other imaging parameters, and with the development of radiomics, deep learning and other technologies, models of mining the image information of enlarged lymph node regions further improve the diagnostic accuracy. The purpose of this paper is to review recent advances in imaging-based diagnosis of benign and malignant enlarged lymph nodes in NSCLC for more accurate and noninvasive assessment of lymph node status in clinical practice.

RESUMO

A 30-year-old female patient with idiopathic sudden hearing loss was treated with anisodamine hydrobromide injection.After 10 minutes of the intravenous injection of this drug,the patient suffered from hypoptyalism and taste disorder for two days.After the second medication,the patient's taste recovery time was significantly shortened by holding the ice water in mouth compared to the first time.Hypoptyalism and taste disorder were considered to be the adverse drug reaction caused by anisodamine hydrobromide injection.After withdrawal the suspected drug,the patient did not experience any further discomfort since.Although taste disorder is not life-threatening,it directly affect the patient's medication experience and quality of life,clinical awareness and attention of the adverse reactions should be increased.

Context: Ma Xing Shi Gan Decoction (MXSGD) is a traditional remedy for treating lung injuries that was developed by the Typhoid and Fever School of Pharmaceutical Biology. It has antitussive and expectorant effects, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, regulates the body's immunity, etc. Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate whether MXSGD can ameliorate cyclosporine A (CsA)-induced hypoimmunity lung injury by regulating microflora metabolism. Methods: Establishment of a model for CsA-induced hypoimmunity lung injury. Using 16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing and LC-MS, the effects of MXSGD on gut flora and lung tissue microecology of mice with CsA-induced hypoimmunity were investigated. Results: MXSGD was able to preserve lung tissue morphology and structure, reduce serum inflammatory marker expression and protect against CsA-induced lung tissue damage. Compared to the model, MXSGD increased beneficial gut bacteria: Eubacterium ventriosum group and Eubacterium nodatum group; decreased intestinal pathogens: Rikenellaceae RC9 intestinal group; reduced the abundance of Chryseobacterium and Acinetobacter, promoted the production of Lactobacillus and Streptococcus, and then promoted the lung flora to produce short-chain fatty acids. MXSGD was able to enhance the expression of serum metabolites such as Americine, 2-hydroxyhexadecanoylcarnitine, Emetine, All-trans-decaprenyl diphosphate, Biliverdin-IX-alpha, Hordatin A and N-demethyl mifepristone in the CsA-induced hypoimmunity lung injury model. Conclusion: MXSGD can restore gut and lung microbiota diversity and serum metabolite changes to inhibit inflammation, ameliorate CsA-induced hypoimmunity lung injury.

Based on Janus kinase 1/2-signal transducer and activator of transcription 1(JAK1/2-STAT1) signaling pathway, this study explored the immune mechanism of Maxing Shigan Decoction in alleviating the lung tissue and colon tissue damage in mice infected with influenza virus. The influenza virus infection was induced in mice by nasal drip of influenza virus. The normal group, model group, oseltamivir group, antiviral granule group, and Maxing Shigan Decoction group were designed. After intragastric administration of corresponding drugs or normal saline for 3 or 7 days, the body mass was measured, and lung index, spleen index, and thymus index were calculated. Based on hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining, the pathological changes of lung tissue and colon tissue were observed. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was used to detect serum levels of inflammatory factors interleukin-8(IL-8) and interferon-γ(IFN-γ), Western blot and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR) to determine the protein and mRNA levels of JAK1, JAK2, STAT1, interferon regulatory factor 9(IRF9), and IFN-γ in lung tissue and colon tissue. The results showed that after 3 and 7 days of administration, the body mass, spleen index, and thymus index were lower(P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the lung index was higher(P<0.01) in the model group than in the normal group. Moreover, the model group showed congestion, edema, and infiltration of a large number of lymphocytes and macrophages in the lung tissue, irregular structure of colon mucosa, ulceration and shedding of epithelial cells, and infiltration of a large number of inflammatory cells. The model group had higher levels of serum IFN-γ(P<0.01), higher protein and mRNA expression of JAK1, JAK2, STAT1, IRF9, IFN-γ in lung tissue(P<0.05 or P<0.01), higher level of JAK2 protein in colon tissue(P<0.01), and higher protein and mRNA levels of STAT1 and IRF9(P<0.05 or P<0.01) than the normal group. Compared with the model group, Maxing Shigan Decoction group had high body mass, spleen index, and thymus index(P<0.05 or P<0.01), low lung index(P<0.05 or P<0.01), and significant alleviation of pathological injury in lung and colon. Moreover, lower serum level of IFN-γ(P<0.05 or P<0.01), protein and mRNA levels of JAK1, JAK2, STAT1, IRF9, and IFN-γ in lung tissue(P<0.05 or P<0.01), JAK2 protein level in colon tissue(P<0.01), and protein and mRNA levels of STAT1 and IRF9(P<0.05 or P<0.01) were observed in the Maxing Shigan Decoction group than in the model group. After 3 days of administration, the level of serum IL-8 in the model group was significantly higher than that in the normal group(P<0.01), and the level in the Maxing Shigan Decoction group was significantly reduced(P<0.01). In conclusion, Maxing Shigan Decoction can significantly up-regulate body mass, spleen index, and thymus index, down-regulate lung index, reduce the levels of IL-8 and IFN-γ, and down-regulate protein and mRNA levels of JAK1, JAK2, STAT1, IRF9, and IFN-γ in lung tissue and protein and mRNA levels of JAK2, STAT1, and IRF9 in colon tissue, and alleviate pathological damage of lung tissue and colon tissue. The mechanism is the likelihood that it inhibits the activation of JAK1/2-STAT1 signaling pathway to alleviate the damage to lung and colon tissue damage.

Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) patients have lower seroconversion rates and antibody titers following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination, but the reasons for this diminished response are poorly understood. Here, we studied humoral and cellular responses in 95 CLL patients and 30 healthy controls after two BNT162b2 or mRNA-2173 mRNA immunizations. We found that 42% of CLL vaccinees developed SARS-CoV-2-specific binding and neutralizing antibodies (NAbs), while 32% had no response. Interestingly, 26% were seropositive, but had no detectable NAbs, suggesting the maintenance of pre-existing endemic human coronavirus-specific antibodies that cross-react with the S2 domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike. These individuals had more advanced disease. In treatment-naive CLL patients, mRNA-2173 induced 12-fold higher NAb titers and 1.7-fold higher response rates than BNT162b2. These data reveal a graded loss of immune function, with pre-existing memory being preserved longer than the capacity to respond to new antigens, and identify mRNA-2173 as a superior vaccine for CLL patients.
