[Complex application of indralin and ferrocin for the combined exposure on the organism of external gamma-irradiation and incorporation of 137Cs].

The summary of the study is that when using both medicines indraline doesn't influence the effectiveness of pherrocine in preventing of 137Cs accumulation in the main depositing/pooling organs. The radiation protecting medicine indraline used more intensive accumulation of radio nuclides in liver and kidney then a control. Accumulation rapidity and amount of 137Cs in liver and kidney depends on the time period between taking indraline and inflow of cesium into organism of animals. For the case when animals being exposured by external gamma-irradiation and incorporation of 137Cs the introduction of indraline without pherrocine is not advisable.

[The bioavailability of zinc oxide nanoparticles. Study using methods of radionuclide indicators].

Zinc oxide nanoparticles labeled with 65Zn were administered once intragastrically to male Wistar rats. The distribution of radionuclide-marker (65Zn) was measured by gamma-spectrometer in tissue samples of animals the organs through 4 hours, 1, 3 and 5 days after administration, and in the wastes of animals through 1 since 5 days. The data obtained demonstrate for the first time the bioavailability of zinc trace element in the form of its oxide nanoparticles.

[On the problem of prophylaxis of late effects induced by internal irradiation using immunomodulators]. / K probleme profilaktiki pri pomoshchi immunomoduliatorov otdalennykh posledstvii, vyzvannykh vnutrennim oblucheniem.

Using the experimental modeling of late effects induced by intake of radionuclides (131I, 238,239Pu, 90Sr) the attempt to investigate the possibility of protection using immune modulators was made. Co-polymer of 2-methil-5-vinilprilidin and N-vinilpirrholidon (sovidon), G immunoglobulin and interferon, Fc fragment of immunoglobulin and S. parathyphi B. Breslau vaccine were used as immune modulators. The positive prophyletie influence of immune modulators was found for average life span, radiation action, immune status, of rates of occurrence and developments of breast tumors induced by 131I, 239Pu and 90Sr. At the same time the increase in osteosarcoma cumulative rate induced by immune modulators in case of body intake of 238Pu and 90Sr was registered.

An attempt to evaluate the influence of tritium oxide on the metabolism by some indices of lipid metabolism (common lipids, beta-lipoproteins, cholesterin), protein metabolism (cholinesterasa) and carbohydrate metabolism (blood sugar) was made. It was established that the introduction into organism of tritium oxide in the quantities, which could form lethal and sublethal doses of internal radiation, provoked the main changes of values of mentioned indices of metabolism. The character of metabolism changes in the remote period allows us to judge about the development of sclerosis processes, which can be the result of radiation-stipulated acceleration of organism aging.

[Study of the effect of a food additive Medetopect on metabolic kinetics of transuranic radionuclides in animal body]. / Izuchenie vliianiia pishchevoi dobavki "Medetopekt" na kinetiku obmena transuranovykh radionuklidov v organizme zhivotnykh.

The effect of Medetopect, a food additive, on the metabolic kinetics of transuranics (239Pu and 241Am) has been studied experimentally in white mongrel rats following chronic intake by ingestion. The Medetopect application has been shown to be advantageous for reduction of the 239Pu and 241Am absorption from and content of the gastrointestinal tract of the animals.

[Evaluation of relative biological effectiveness of tritium oxide based on biochemical indices of blood in rats]. / Otsenka otnositel'noi biologicheskoi éffektivnosti okisi tritiia po biokhimicheskim pokazateliam krovi krys.

The influence of tritium oxide injected peritoneally of the range of activity of 5.5 MBq/g to 111 MBq/g versus gamma-radiation of 137Cs with decreasing dose rate in biochemical parameters of blood in rats was compared. It was shown that relative biological effectiveness of tritium oxide was higher than that for metabolism and it was equal to 1.5 in average.

[Radionuclide biokinetics as a function of the age of experimental animals]. / Biokinetika radionuclidov kak funktsiia vozrasta éksperimental'nykh zhivotnykh.

Behaviour of radionuclides with different distribution types in the organism of animals of various ages was studied. Depending on the age of experimental animals, an essential difference in biokinetic parameters such as coefficients of absorbtion from gastro-intestinal tract, distribution and retention levels in critical organs, retention and excretion rates of radionuclides was found.

[The significance of modifying factors in evaluating the effect of radionuclides]. / Znachenie modifitsiruiushchikh faktorov pri otsenke vozdeistviia radionuklidov.

The authors provide the data obtained in experimental animals, pertaining to the influence of certain modifying factors on metabolism and biological effects induced by radioactive isotopes of iodine, by transuranium elements and beryllium. Out of all the modifying factors investigated, the form of the introduced compound and age turned out the most significant ones.

[The relation of non-stochastic effects to the radiation dose of the human thyroid gland]. / Zavisimost' nestokhasticheskikh éffektov ot dozy oblucheniia shchitovidnoi zhelezy cheloveka.

The paper is concerned with the reported data characterizing the dose-effect relationship for the main non-stochastic effects, namely for acute radiation and chronic thyroiditis and hypothyroidism that occur as a result of external and internal radiation of the thyroid. The threshold doses for acute thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, temporary thyroid hypofunction in adults and children exposed to 131I are estimated. The influence of modifying factors on the intensity and the times of thyroid lesion manifestations such as hyperactive thyroid is under consideration.
