RESUMO
A study was performed of 40 patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. Clinicohematological, radionuclide (51CR), electron-microscopic methods and examinations of plasma and platelet components of hemostasis were applied to elucidate stage-specific relationships between functional-morphological changes in platelets and early manifestations of hemorrhagic syndrome (HS). The latter was directly related to platelets functional activity and their ultrastructure. With HS progression, platelet functions decline, their degeneration becomes more evident in line with growing blood loss from gastrointestinal tract.

Venom and its fraction with hemocoagulation properties from Agkistrodon halys halys exhibited dissimilar effects on blood plasma and fibrinogen preparation. The major component of this fraction proved to be a thrombin-like enzyme, properties of which were studied by means of several coagulation tests. Dissimilarity in coagulating effects of the venom and its thrombin-like fraction as well as different physical properties of blood clots formed after their action suggest that the venom from Agkistrodon halys halys contained other protein factors affecting blood coagulation besides the thrombin-like proteases.

The antiaggregation effects of synthetic derivatives of 1,4-naphtoquinone and ionol were studied as compared with the antioxidant properties of the agents. The proportional relationship was shown to exist between the antiaggregation properties of the compounds and their antiradical activity under conditions of the interaction with biosubstrates. The data obtained suggest that the derivatives of 1,4-naphtoquinone with the intramolecular transfer of the charge are promising antiaggregation agents.
