In this paper, the results of use of active radiation heat flowmetry in the nephrological clinic are presented. Employment of rationalized loading tests permitted direct relationship to be established of radiation heat losses from the surface of the "open" kidney to the status of renal functions. Patterns of changes in the infrared radiation intensity have been ascertained in health and in the blockade of canalicular reabsorption. A hypothesis is documented about participation of autonomic system of regulation of renal bloodflow and glomerular filtration in thermostabilization of the kidney.

[Radiation thermometry and contact thermometry in patients with pyelonephritis]. / Radiatsionnaia i teplometriia i kontaktnaia termometriiia u bol'nykh pielonefritom.

UNLABELLED: A study is presented of 79 patients with acute and chronic pyelonephritis examined by means of dynamic calorimetry and contact thermometry. Thermal asymmetry of the lumbar region were revealed in 22 patients by means of contact thermometry. Dynamic calorimetry revealed changes of the transitional process in 75 patients as compared with the control. CONCLUSION: the method has a diagnostic value.

With the help of the proposed scheme of the unit the dynamics of the thermal losses has been studied. The measurements of the heat flow were taken from the body surface of both sick and healthy people in the area of their organs' projection. It has been found that the loading test, which leads the investigated system out of the state of rest, results in the change of radiation heat losses from the body surface. The heat radiation dynamics is characterised by the parameters of the transient processes different in norm and pathology. Due to this fact it is possible to use the dynamic thermometry data for estimation of the organ functioning and revealing the illness.

[Application of dynamic radiation thermometry in the diagnosis of chronic glomerulonephritis]. / Primenenie dinamicheskoi radiatsionnoi teplometrii v diagnostike khronicheskogo glomerulonefrita.

The author provides data concerned with the examination of 71 patients suffering from glomerulonephritis with the aid of dynamic radiation thermometry, with the procedure of thermometry and assessment of the results. It is concluded that dynamic thermometry may be used for diagnostic purposes as well as for treatment efficacy control.

[Recapitulation in the development of the components of the counterflow system in the vertebrate metanephros]. / Rekapituliatsiia v razvitii komponentov protivotochnoi sistemy metanefrosa pozvonochnykh.

The investigation has been performed on 107 renal preparations obtained from persons of various age (from 5-month-old fetuses up to 45 years of age), certain representatives of other classes of the Vertebrata are also included: fish, amphibia, reptile and mammalia at various stages of pre- and postnatal periods of ontogenesis by means of preparing graphic and plastic reconstructive models, histological investigation and microdissection. The complexity of the intrarenal branching of derivatives of the mesonephric duct diverticulum, development and structure of the canalicular part in nephrons directly depend on the phylogenetic position of the animal. Complexity of the nephron architectonics occurs along the progressive line of taxonomic groups of higher Vertebrata. The nephron loop becomes longer, thin segment of the nephron canalicular part increases in its length and, at last, in mammalia a cone-shaped fasciculus appears as a structural-functional unit of the osmoregulating apparatus of the constant kidney. In the comparative anatomical and comparative embryological aspects recapitulation is observed concerning certain morphological signs of derivatives of the metanephric duct and nephron.
