RESUMO

The post-effects of the COronaVIrus Disease (COVID-19) vary depending on socioeconomic and biological factors. Similarly, the effects of vaccination on people's immunity vary across several factors. After the pandemic, real-life post-vaccination anomalies significantly impact women's health, access to medical treatments and medications, mental well-being, and daily physical activities. However, there has been scant investigation into the physical, psychological, social, and economic ramifications of vaccine effects on women in the post-pandemic era. Therefore, conducting a comprehensive risk assessment is crucial to safeguard women from the post-vaccination effects. To address this issue, the research encompasses complex bipolar spherical fuzzy ℵ-soft set, which has two-sided periodic ambiguous data due to its parametric properties as an adaptable ℵ-soft set and distinguishing criteria as a complex bipolar spherical fuzzy set. In addition, some fundamental operations and properties are presented in a complex bipolar spherical fuzzy ℵ-soft environment. Furthermore, the robust assessment of a real-world application demonstrate the efficacy of the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) approach to optimise the decision result. Finally, the provided decision-making approach is compared with existing techniques to illustrate their remarkable credibility and integrity.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious illness caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The initial symptoms of TB are similar to other respiratory illnesses, posing diagnostic challenges. Therefore, the primary goal of this study is to design a novel decision-support system under a bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy environment to examine an effective TB diagnosing method. METHODS: To achieve the aim, a novel fuzzy decision support system is derived by integrating PROMETHEE and ARAS techniques. This technique evaluates TB diagnostic methods under the bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy context. Moreover, the defuzzification algorithm is proposed to convert the bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy score into crisp score. RESULTS: The proposed method found that the sputum test (T3) is the most accurate in diagnosing TB. Additionally, comparative and sensitivity analyses are derived to show the proposed method's efficiency. CONCLUSION: The proposed bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy sets, combined with the PROMETHEE-ARAS techniques, proved to be a valuable tool for assessing effective TB diagnosing methods.

RESUMO

Population and industrial growth have spiked product consumption, which in turn have caused an abrupt rise in municipal solid waste (MSW) production. Due to the lack of resources allocated to waste management, municipal inorganic solid waste (ISW) has increased exponentially, posing a significant strain on the environment and health. To mitigate these issues, sustainable waste management strategies need to be implemented to reduce environmental impacts and improve waste collection and disposal efficiency. The objective of our work was to analyse and identify the most effective techniques for disposing of ISW in India by employing multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). This technique entails selecting the most suitable alternative based on a variety of competing and interactive criteria. A fusion decision model named the FULL COnsistency Method (FUCOM) and Multi-Attributive Border Approximation area Comparison (MABAC) based on the interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy (IV q-ROF) was developed. Finally, a comparative analysis was performed to demonstrate the system's robustness.

RESUMO

Bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy graphs (BIFG) are an extension of fuzzy graphs that can effectively capture uncertain or imprecise information in various applications. In graph theory, the covering, matching, and domination problems are benchmark concepts applied to various domains. These concepts may not be defined precisely using a crisp graph when the vertices and edges are more uncertain. Therefore, this study defines the covering, matching and domination concepts in bipolar intuitionistic fuzzy graphs (BIFG) using effective edges with certain important results. To define these concepts when the effective edges are absent, some novel approaches are discussed. To illustrate the domination concepts, the applications in disaster management and location selection problems are discussed. Further, a BIFG-based decision-making model is designed to identify the flood-vulnerable zones in Chennai, where the city's most and least vulnerable zones are identified. From the proposed model, Kodambakkam ([Formula: see text]) is the most susceptible zone in Chennai. Finally, a comparative analysis is done with the existing techniques to show the efficiency of the model.

RESUMO

A country that relies on developing industrialization and GDP requires a lot of energy. Biomass is emerging as one of the possible renewable energy resources that may be used to generate energy. Through the proper channels, such as chemical, biochemical, and thermochemical processes, it can be turned into electricity. In the context of India, the potential sources of biomass can be broken down into agricultural waste, tanning waste, sewage, vegetable waste, food, meat waste, and liquor waste. Each form of biomass energy so extracted has advantages and downsides, so determining which one is best is crucial to reaping the most benefits. The selection of biomass conversion methods is especially significant since it requires a careful study of multiple factors, which can be aided by fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) models. This paper proposes the normal wiggly interval-valued hesitant fuzzy-based decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory model (DEMATEL) and the Preference Ranking Organization METHod for Enrichment of Evaluations II (PROMETHEE) for assessing the problem of determining a workable biomass production technique. The proposed framework is used to assess the production processes under consideration based on parameters such as fuel cost, technical cost, environmental safety, and CO2 emission levels. Bioethanol has been developed as a viable industrial option due to its low carbon footprint and environmental viability. Furthermore, the superiority of the suggested model is demonstrated by comparing the results to other current methodologies. According to comparative study, the suggested framework might be developed to handle complex scenarios with many variables.

RESUMO

This article focuses on India's inorganic solid waste disposal problem, with a particular emphasis on plastic and mixed waste. It aims to identify the current COVID-19 pandemic situation as well as provide a suitable disposal technique for wastes that are specifically related to municipal solid waste management. We propose an integrated approach to disposing of paper and plastic and mixed wastes in an interval-valued q-rung orthopair fuzzy (IVq-ROF) environment for this problem. In this case, we use the FUCOM method to calculate the weight values of the criteria and the MABAC method to rank the alternatives based on the chosen criteria. To confirm the effectiveness of the proposed method, a numerical illustration is provided, and validation of the suggested method is also shown.

RESUMO

The development of biodegradable polymers for both industrial and commercial uses is crucial nowadays due to the detrimental environmental effects of synthetic plastics. For a variety of uses, researchers have created numerous starch-based composites. The current study examines bioplastics made from maize and rice starch for packaging purposes. Several types of bioplastic samples are created using various ratios of gelatin, glycerol, citric acid, maize starch, and rice starch. People have discovered the value of plastics all around the world. It can be used for packaging, trash bags, liquid containers, throwaway quick service restaurant products, and other things. Regarding the negative aspect of plastics, their dumping after durability poses a serious risk to both people and wildlife. This prompted researchers to seek alternative natural resources that may be used to create flexible polymers that are recyclable, eco-friendly, and sustainable. It has been discovered that tuber and grain starches can be used to produce flexible biopolymers. The decision to choose the best among these choices is an MCDM problem because the carbohydrates from these suppliers have varying qualities. The Probabilistic Hesitant Fuzzy Set (PHFS)-based COmplex PRoportional ASsessment (COPRAS) method for solving uncertainty problems is utilized in this research study. To get the objective weights of the criteria in this case, we used the Critic method of weight determination. An example case of selecting the optimal hydrolyzes for biodegradable dynamic plastic synthesis was chosen to represent the applicability of the suggested approach. The findings demonstrate the feasibility of thermoplastic starches derived from rice and corn for packaging applications.

RESUMO

The probabilistic hesitant fuzzy set (PHFS) is a useful extended version of the hesitant fuzzy set (HFS), which allows decision-makers greater freedom in espousing their preferences through the use of hesitant evidence in the real DM method. As the implications for individuals and global concerns have grown, efficient clinical diagnosis of medical waste has been a major challenge, particularly in developing countries. Medical waste can be disposed of in a variety of ways. The essential thing is to decide which strategies work best. The optimal healthcare plastic waste disposal (HCPWD) option is a MCDM method involving a wide range of qualitative characteristics. The MCDM technique (ARAS) is then described, whereby the criterion weights are assessed using the recommended entropy weighted method (EWM) proportion and score function in order to increase the process utilisation. Moreover, the above-described approach is used to address a real-world problem by determining the optimal treatment option for healthcare waste (HCW) disposal. Finally, a feasibility analysis is given to support the stated viewpoint on HCPWD options being prioritised.

RESUMO

In this research article, we have introduced a knowledge-based approach to regional/national security measures. Proposed Knowledge-based Normative Safety Measure algorithm for safety measures helps to take practical actions to conquer COVID-19. We analyzed based on five dimensions: the correlation between detected cases and confirmed cases, social distance, the speed of detected cases, the correlation between imported cases and inbound cases, and the proportion of masks worn. It prompts actions based on the security level of the region. Through the use of our proposed algorithm, the government has accelerated the implementation of social distancing, accelerated test cases, and policies, etc., to prevent people from contracting COVID-19. This idea can be a very effective way to realize the impending danger and take action in advance. Help speed up the process of controlling the COVID-19. In pandemic times, it can be helpful to understand better. Holding the normative safety measure at a high level leads nations to perform excellently on triple T's (testing, tracking, and treatment) policy and other safety acts. The proposed NSM approach facilitates for improve the governance of cities and communities.

RESUMO

Healthcare waste management is regarded as the most critical concern that the entire world is currently and will be confronted with in the near future. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the significant growth in medical waste frightened the globe, prompting it to investigate safe disposal methods. Plastics are developing as a severe environmental issue as a result of their increased use during the COVID-19 pandemic which has triggered a global catastrophe and prompted concerns about plastic waste management. One of the biggest challenges in this circumstance is the disposal of discarded PPE kits. The purpose of this research is to find a viable disposal treatment procedure for enhanced personal protective equipment (PPE) (facemasks, gloves, and other protective equipment) and other single-use plastic medical equipment waste in India during the COVID-19 crises, which will aid in effectively reducing their increasing quantity. To analyse the PPE waste disposal problem in India, we used the fuzzy Measurement Alternatives and Ranking according to the Compromise Solution (MARCOS) technique, which included the dual hesitant q-rung orthopair fuzzy set. The fuzzy Best Worst Method (BWM), which is compatible with the existing MCDM approaches, is used to establish the criteria weights. Sensitivity and comparative analyses are utilised to confirm the stability and validity of the proposed strategy.

RESUMO

In January 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) identified a world-threatening virus, SARS-CoV-2. To diminish the virus spread rate, India implemented a six-month-long lockdown. During this period, the Indian government lifted certain restrictions. Therefore, this study investigates the efficacy of India's lockdown relaxation protocols using fuzzy decision-making. The decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) is one of the fuzzy MCDM methods. When it is associated with intuitionistic fuzzy circumstances, it is known as the intuitionistic fuzzy DEMATEL (IF-DEMATEL) method. Moreover, converting intuitionistic fuzzy into a crisp score (CIFCS) algorithm is an aggregation technique utilized for the intuitionistic fuzzy set. By using IF-DEMATEL and CIFCS, the most efficient lockdown relaxation protocols for COVID-19 are determined. It also provides the cause and effect relationship of the lockdown relaxation protocols. Additionally, the comparative study is carried out through various DEMATEL methods to see the effectiveness of the result. The findings would be helpful to the government's decision-making process in the fight against the pandemic.

RESUMO

Growing global energy demand and the depletion of fossil fuels have highlighted the need for alternate and environmentally benign energy sources. The volume of untreated waste water being disposed of straight into fresh water is becoming a major concern. An integrated treatment method can address the problems of bio-energy generation and wastewater management as both processes can use wastewater as a substrate. Linear diophantine fuzzy sets help handle the uncertainty and difficulties that arise while deciding on an effective treatment technique. The use of control parameters makes these fuzzy sets unique and superior to other existing fuzzy sets. A modified strategy incorporating the Pivot pairwise relative criteria importance assessment and Interactive multi-criteria decision making methodologies is proposed for the linear diophantine fuzzy environment. The applicability and effectiveness of the developed model are established by choosing an appropriate wastewater treatment technology in the context of linear diophantine fuzzy sets. In addition, sensitivity analysis is used in this study to determine the stability of the developed framework. Further, comparison analysis is also addressed to assess the validity of the acquired results.

RESUMO

In this research article, we introduced an algorithm to evaluate COVID-19 patients admission in hospitals at source shortage period. Many researchers have expressed their conclusions from different perspectives on various factors such as spatial changes, climate risks, preparedness, blood type, age and comorbidities that may be contributing to COVID-19 mortality rate. However, as the number of people coming to the hospital for COVID-19 treatment increases, the mortality rate is likely to increase due to the lack of medical facilities. In order to provide medical assistance in this situation, we need to consider not only the extent of the disease impact, but also other important factors. No method has yet been proposed to calculate the priority of patients taking into account all the factors. We have provided a solution to this in this research article. Based on eight key factors, we provide a way to determine priorities. In order to achieve the effectiveness and practicability of the proposed method, we studied individuals with different results on all factors. The sigmoid function helps to easily construct factors at different levels. In addition, the cobweb solution model allows us to see the potential of our proposed algorithm very clearly. Using the method we introduced, it is easier to sort high-risk individuals to low-risk individuals. This will make it easier to deal with problems that arise when the number of patients in hospitals continues to increase. It can reduce the mortality of COVID-19 patients. Medical professionals can be very helpful in making the best decisions.

RESUMO

As the airline industry has become ever-more competitive and profitability more tenuous, airline service quality management has grown more important to airlines. Although many studies have focused on the evaluation of airline service quality, some common limitations need to be noted. First, traditional fuzzy logics were utilized to present linguistic variables as fuzzy numbers. However, precise quantification of lower and upper bounds with a single number is often difficult; thus, interval-valued fuzzy sets that represent the lower and upper bounds in the fuzzy number as an interval form should be applied instead. Second, while some studies have applied various multiple-criteria decision-making method [MCDM] and the service quality (SERVQUAL) method for evaluation of airline service quality, few have utilized grey relational analysis (GRA, a simple and data-driven MCDM method applicable to environments with incomplete information) and the service performance (SERVPERF), a performance-based measure that can resolve the ambiguity issue of the expectations construct in SERVQUAL. Third, extant studies dealing with the issue of weighting criteria in the evaluation of airline service quality have focused only on either subjective or objective weights, though weighting criteria based on a combined objective/subjective approach would be much better than those just considering the subjective approach. The present study endeavored to fill these literature gaps by developing, for evaluation of airline service quality, interval-valued fuzzy GRA with SERVPERF based on both subjective and objective weights. It contributes to the field by incorporating the 22 criteria from SERVPERF to effectively account for the various characteristics of airline service. Additionally, it is the first study to utilize interval-valued fuzzy GRA together with a novel technique that combines a subjective/objective weighting method for integration of objective decision-matrix-derived information with subjective decision-maker preferences. The supplemental empirical case study of airline service evaluation, further, provides researchers and practitioners with a means of better understanding the proposed approach in the practical perspectives.

RESUMO

Mobile services' rapid evolution and development has meant that their evaluation has become a more and more pressing issue, and from both the practical and theoretical standpoints. The significant previous work in the field of multiple-criteria decision-making based evaluation of mobile services has some practical limitations that should be noted. First, there has been insufficient research that has utilized both objective and subjective weighting. Second, the investigations that have employed Vise Kriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR), a well known practical tool for use in multi-criteria decision making, did not consider the fuzzy environment. In order to fill these gaps in the literature, the present study developed fuzzy VIKOR for use with an integrated weighting approach that combines subjective and objective weighting to account for mobile services' various characteristics and, thereby, evaluate their quality. For subjective weighting, Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) was employed for simple determination of the weighting and causal relationships. For objective weighting of evaluation criteria, Shannon entropy was utilized. This study has a unique contribution in that it reflects the special circumstances of the mobile service evaluation that have not been considered in the previous studies. Especially, in this study, not only the subjective weighting method but also the objective weighting method are used for more accurate importance weight of evaluation criteria. In the novelty aspect, this is the first study trying to utilize fuzzy VIKOR in concert with a novel combined subjective/objective weighting method in order to integrate objective decision-matrix-derived information with subjective decision-maker preferences. Additionally, a supplemental, empirical mobile-service-evaluation case study was conducted that enables researchers and practitioners to better understand the overall, practical evaluation process. Validation of the case study results by comparison with other, representative multiple-criteria decision-making methods verified the proposed method's robustness.
