RESUMO

We report a clinical case of 36 year old woman with genital tuberculosis, who had no correct diagnosis and treatment for nine months. The etiological diagnosis was set after good collaboration between gynaecologists and microbiologists who had been looking for tuberculosis very active. The laboratory identification was based on conventional and new generation methods: fully automated system and modern molecular tests. The patient responded to anti-tuberculosis therapy and her condition improved.

RESUMO

In order to evaluate the prevalence of Chlamydia infection in asymptomatic patients, 568 materials were analyzed. Analysis were performed among women and men aged 16 - 45 years. The observed prevalence rate is 5.5% and is similar to the prevalence reported for other European countries. Our study demonstrates that the prevalence of asymptomatic Chlamydia infection in Sofia is low.

RESUMO

Vaginal candidiasis is frequently encountered disease. The question about quick and exact diagnosis is still a problem for the practice. The method, proposed by us, is the first attempt for diagnosis by the method of co-agglutination. Staphylococci, sensibilized by hyperimmune anti-candidiasis serum, are used. The preparation, proposed by us, is in no way inferior to the well known latex-agglutination tests for vaginal candidiasis.
