[Use of low-intensity laser radiation to improve endoscopic diagnosis]. / Primenenie nizkointensivnogo lazernogo izlucheniia dlia uluchsheniia éndoskopicheskoi diagnostiki.

A possibility to improve endoscopic diagnosis by laser illumination is considered. The fact that the image contrast of the pathologic tissue on the normal tissues background may be increased markedly compared to wideband incoherent illumination is shown. The possible increasing of the contrast by laser illumination of the blue-violet band (0.44 mkm) is evaluated. Advantages of laser light compared to incoherent sources with passive filters are discussed. The calculated results are compared to that of the model experiment.
