[Isolation of factor IX concentrate from cryosupernatant of donor's plasma]. / Vydelenie kontsentrata faktora IX iz kriosupernatanta donorskoi plazmy.

Soviet anion-exchangers were comparatively studied to specify an optimal carrier useful for isolation of factor ix of the blood coagulation system from donor's blood cryosupernatant. The main criteria of gel selection were the yield and purification degree of factor IX, as well as its specific activity and concentration in eluates. It has been shown that DEAE-agarose 6B-CL, possessing pronounced activity with respect to specific sorption of factor IX, meets these requirements to the greatest degree.

Cases of hemorrhagic syndrome development due to the appearance of factor VIII inhibitors have been described in varying diseases. Clinical signs for the diagnosis and methods of combined therapy of such cases have been presented that are of great importance for practical use.

[The hemostatic system in chronic intracranial hematomas in children]. / Sistema gemostaza pri khronicheskikh vnutricherepnykh gematomakh u detei.

The formation of chronic intracranial hematomas in children is discussed from the standpoint of the pathogenesis of disturbed course of the wound process. Special study of blood coagulation system in 10 unselected children with chronic intracranial hematoma showed that disorders of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the factors of the blood coagulation system underlie this process. The role of hemorrhagic diathesis in the pathogenesis of chronic intracranial hematomas in children is emphasized.

[Clinico-genealogical characteristics of hemophilia A in a large inbred kindred]. / Kliniko-genealogicheskaia kharakteristika gemofilii A v bol'shoi inbrednoi rodoslovnoi.

The results of the clinico-genealogical investigation of patients with mild haemophilia A in a large azerbaijanian highly inbred kindred (446 members in VII generations) are presented. Some peculiarities of the disease segregation are discussed. The prevalence of the haemophilia A in the population examined was estimated as about 1:440.
