[Optimization of the composition of antibodies to HBs-antigen in obtaining specific sorbent for the enzyme immunoassay test system]. / Optimizatsiia sostava monoklonal'nykh antitel k HBs-antigenu pri popluchenii spetsificheskogo sorbenta dlia immunofermentnoi test-sistemy.

The properties of monoclonal antibodies (McAb) to HBsAg, obtained from three different manufacturers (producer firms No. 1 and No. 2, "ECOlab"), were studied on different biological materials. McAb and their combinations were used for the preparation of immunosorbent which could be included as an ingredient into the solid-phase enzume immunoassay system. The mixture of McAb, chosed as the optimum variant of immunosorbent with respect to its sensitivity and specificity, was "ECOlab" mixture 3 + No. 1 (4 microg/ml + 1 microg/ml).

[Long-term use of the calcium antagonist nifedipine (corinfar) in the treatment of patients with primary pulmonary hypertension]. / Dlitel'noe primenenie kal'tsievogo antagonista nifedipina (korinfara) pri lechenii bol'nykh pervichnoi legochnoi gipertoniei.

Sixteen patients on long-term treatment for primary pulmonary hypertension were studied. The results were compared after a single 20 mg dose, a two-week course and long-term (13.9 months on the average) use of the drug (40 mg/day). Pulmonary arterial catheterization, thermodilution and occlusion plethysmography were used. Changes in central and peripheral hemodynamic parameters were unidirectional and similar at all stages of the study. Nifedipine improved hemodynamics, as evidenced by selected criteria, in 80% of patients exposed to acute tests, in 91% after a course of treatment and in 58% after long-term use. Therefore, considering the ability of nifedipine to improve pulmonary hemodynamics as well as stable effect over more than one year of treatment, and the absence of marked side effects, this drug can be regarded as the most effective vasodilating agent for the treatment of primary pulmonary hypertension.

[Effect of the calcium antagonist nifedipine on central and peripheral hemodynamics in patients with primary pulmonary hypertension]. / Vliianie kal'tsevogo antagonista nifedipina na tsentral'nuiu i perifericheskuiu gemodinamiku u bol'nykh pervichnoi legochnoi gipertoniei.

15 patients with primary pulmonary hypertension (PPH) were studied. An acute test with 20 mg nifedipine (N) sublingually was performed and the pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) was measured. N had manifest arterolodilating effect in the systemic and especially pulmonary circulation, induced decrease in the total peripheral and total pulmonary vascular resistance (TPerVR and TPulVR) by 21.7 and 25.3%, correspondingly. N had principal effect on pulmonary arterioles (TPerVR/TPulVR ratio increased by 16.9%). Systolic and diastolic PAP decreased in this case by 15.2 and 18.4%, correspondingly. All the patients demonstrated increase in cardiac output (on the average by 17.0%) and insignificant increase in heart rate (7.4%).

[Changes in regional hemodynamics and tissue oxygenation in heart failure patients as affected by nifedipine (corinfar)]. / Izmenenie regionarnoi gemodinamiki i oksigenatsii tkani u bol'nykh s serdechnoi nedostatochnost'iu pod vliianiem nifedipina (korinfara).

Regional hemodynamics using plethysmography and tissue oxygen tension at the basal level and during corinfar administration were investigated in 38 patients with heart failure against a background of rheumatic heart valvular diseases, dilatation cardiomyopathy and coronary heart disease. A considerable decrease in regional vascular resistance (RVR) and improvement of tissue oxygenation were noted in persons with a raised basal RVR level. A value of an acute test with corinfar for administration of regular therapy was determined.
