[Evaluation of the severity course and prognosis of disseminated intravascular blood coagulation syndrome].

Activation of the peroxidal oxidation of lipids (POL) processes with its primary and secondary products levels raising constitutes a favourable sign, according to data of examination of 66 patients, suffering different phases of disseminated intravascular blood coagulation syndrome (DIBCS). The POL products contents reduction (areactive course) characterizes the process severity and constitutes an unfavourable prognostical sign. The areactive course rate is the highest in the patients, suffering DIBCS, phase III.

[Proinflammatory cytokines and tumours necrosis factor level change in bleeding of different genesis].

At investigation of 30 patients with peptic ulcer complicated by gastrointesinal bleeding and 16 injured persons with trauma, covering with blood loss, the disseminated intravascular blood coagulation syndrome revealed in 20 and 37.5% of them accordingly. At both groups revealed the proinflammatory cytokines and tumours necrosis factor-alpha level increased, especially expressed at patients with disseminated intravascular blood coagulation syndrome and trauma with blood loss.

[Effect of pentosan polysulphate (SP-54) on the level of prion physiological form in rat tissues].

It is established that except for already known influence of pentosan polysulphate (SP-54) on the expression of pathological prion, this preparation has an inhibiting effect in respect of physiological prion. Moreover, the reduction of concentration of physiologycal prion is registered in the central and peripheral organs of the prion-replicating system. It was also shown that inhibition of the studied protein leads to the growth in copper and zinc concentration in the proper organs and tissues, but at the same time activity of Cu/Zn-dependent superoxide dismutase does not change.

The activity of lactate dehydrogenase, gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase, alkaline phosphatase, 1-antitrypsin was studied in 30 patients with acute cholecystopancreatitis of different severity grades. It was found that changes of activity of these enzymes depending on the severity of the disease may be considered as a criterion of regression of the inflammatory changes in the biliary-pancreatic zone as well as a criterion of recovery.

[The diagnosis and treatment of patients with acute intermittent porphyria]. / Diagnostika i lechenie bol'nykh ostroi peremezhaiushcheisia porfiriei.

Four patients with acute intermittent porphyria (AIP) were treated and followed-up. It was established that in AIP urinary pigments have specific absorption spectra in the visible light range. Clinical manifestation and the severity of the disease course correlated with the amount of excretion of copro- and uroporphyrin and their characteristic spectrum of light absorption. It is concluded that of significance in the AIP pathogenesis is the level of formation of copro- and uroporphyrin isomers which may directly effect the nervous tissue and clinical manifestations of AIP. It is recommended to use plasmapheresis in biohemosorption by means of extracorporeal donor spleen.

[Coagulation properties of the thrombocytes in macro-focal myocardial infarct]. / Koaguliatsionnye svoistva trombotsitov pri krupnoochagovom infarkte miokarda.

Platelet coagulative and fibrinolytic activities were studied in 37 patients with large myocardial infarction. Plasma samples rich for platelets (with the standard platelet level) and with low platelet counts were analyzed. A lowered coagulative activity of the platelets was revealed in such patients, parallelled by loss of these cells' ability to enhance fibrinolysis. These shifts are particularly marked in the first days of the illness.

[A simplified method of determining the aggregation and disaggregation of thrombocytes]. / Uproshchennyi sposob opredeleniia agregatsii i dezagregatsii trombotsitov.

The authors have simplified the technique developed by Born (1962) and Howard (1973) for measuring the platelet aggregation and disaggregation. The method determines the platelet aggregation index, aggregation rate, platelet aggregation summary index, and platelet disaggregation index. The suggested procedure is informative, simple and available for any clinical diagnostic laboratory.

[Autocoagulogram indices of patients with ischemic heart disease]. / Pokazateli autokoagulogrammy u bol'nykh ishemicheskoi bolezn'iu serdtsa.

Data are presented of an investigation of the coagulation activity of the blood plasma and whole erythrocytes carried by means of autocoagulography in 84 patients in the dynamics of ischemic heart disease. The patients showed an increased coagulation activity of the blood plasma and an insufficient compensation by erythrocytes in the course of the disease. Complex treatment including heparin did not change the procoagulant activity of erythrocytes.
