[The functional basis for a new method of surgical intervention in phlegmons of the infratemporal space]. / Funktsional'noe obosnovanie novogo sposoba khirurgicheskogo vmeshatel'stva pri flegmonakh podvisochnogo prostranstva.

Studies of bioelectrical activity of masticatory muscles in patients with phlegmons of the infratemporal space revealed that limited opening of the mouth in such patients is not related to increased tone of the masticatory muscles and that the pain syndrome is accompanied by tonic tension of the muscles. A new functionally based method for opening the phlegmons of the infratemporal space is suggested.

[Hormonal response of the bodies of cosmonauts after completion of brief space flights]. / Gormonal'naia reaktsiia organizma kosmonavtov posle zaversheniia kratkovremennykh kosmicheskikh poletov.

After short-term (7-day) space flights the following parameters were measured in blood of cosmonauts: cortisol, ACTH, aldosterone, thyrotropic hormone, thyroxine, triiodothyronine, somatotropic hormone, insulin, testosterone, cyclic nucleotides, prostaglandins, activities of the kallikrein-kinin, fibrinolytic and coagulatory systems, and plasma renin activity; in addition, renal excretion of aldosterone and total 17-oxycorticosteroids was determined. It was demonstrated that after the short-term flights the acute period of adaptation was accompanied by a moderate activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, adrenal glucocorticoid function, pancreatic insular apparatus, kallikrein-kinin system as well as increased cyclic AMP which is suggestive of a moderately expressed stress-reaction.

[Pharmaceutical aspects of creating an effective drug form of carfecillin]. / Farmatsevticheskie aspekty sozdaniia éffektivnoi lekarstvennoi formy karfetsillina.

Physical and technological parameters of carfecillin powder and carfecillin with auxiliary substances in the form of the powder mixture and granulate were studied comparatively. Possible preparation of carfecillin capsules characterized by high levels of the antibiotic dissolution was shown.
