[The issues of population reproductive health in Voronezhskaya oblast and means of its improvement].

The article deals with the results of analysis of demographic indicators of natural migration of population in Voronezhskaya oblast in 1999-2008 revealing particular characteristics. The state of reproductive health of population in oblast is characterized by stable preservation of lower level of birth rate, higher indicators of total mortality and negative natural growth of population. The allotment of "maternal capital" at the birth of second child from 2006 and increase of one-time dowry at child birth in the Voronezh region ceased the birth-rate falling and mapped out a growth trend. To ameliorate the demographic situation in the region the chief public health directorate of Voronezhskaya oblast upheld in 2007 "The strategy of development of obstetrics service in Voronezhskaya oblast in 2008-2010". The purpose of the document is to improve organization, quality and accessibility of medical care to pregnant women, parturient women, newborns and gynecological patients and birthrate growth.

[The medical social risk factors of developing the iron-deficiency anemia in pregnant women].

The results of study of medical social risk factors of developing the iron-deficiency anemia in pregnant women are presented. The medical case history data, the characteristics of pregnancy, delivery and puerperal period course, the indicators of laboratory and instrumental findings are discussed in their dynamics. The analysis of significance of risk factors is carried out, the results of comparing of parameters of basic and control groups according Student's test were used. The most significant risk factors were revealed. They are to be taking into account in forecasting anemia and in choosing the corresponding preventive and curative measures at the first visit of pregnant woman to the maternity clinic.

[An increase in the effectiveness of outpatient care of patients with kidney diseases]. / Povyshenie éffektivnosti ambulatorno-poliklinicheskoi pomoshchi patsientam s patologiei pochek.

Organization of medical care of patients with renal diseases in a municipal health center is described. The authors demonstrate the efficacy of specialized care when it was made available for population. The detection of renal diseases improved. Use of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, day-time hospitals, and regular check-ups permit timely comprehensive qualified care of patients with renal diseases, prevention of disease progress and chronic development, prolong the capable life of young patients, and decrease the incidence of disability.

[International humanitarian aid in the control of tuberculosis in Voronezh Province]. / Mezhdunarodnaia gumanitarnaia pomoshch' v bor'be s tuberkulezom v Voronezhskoi oblasti.

Presents the experience gained in realization of a program of humanitarian care aimed at tuberculosis control in the Voronezh Province of Russia, which was organized by the European Community within the framework of UNO-EEC Echo-Rus/B7-515/93-1806B with participation of the Rudolf Virchow Free University of Berlin. Regular bilateral contacts, well-defined purpose of the program, permanent supervision from both sides over the fulfillment of plans and conditions of the agreement, direct supplies, purchase of equipment and drugs, training of personnel, and introduction of the program in practical public health promoted its successful realization.

[Experience in the elaboration of a program of public health development with medical insurance for an industrial region]. / Opyt razrabotki programmy razvitiia zdravookhraneniia promyshlennogo regiona v usloviiakh meditsinskogo strakhovaniia.

Requirements in medical care and availability of such care for the population of an industrial regions with the towns of Staryi Oskol and Gubkin is analyzed. The authors emphasize the unique type of the region. Approaches to improvement of the level of public health in this region at the expense of coordination of the activities of medical and public health institutions, equipment of therapeutic and prophylactic institutions with modern therapeutic and diagnostic devices, and upgrading the knowledge and skills of physicians and paramedical personnel, which may be implemented by professors and teachers of the N. N. Burdenko Voronezh Medical Academy, are outlined. The possibility of creation of specialized medical centers at large multiprofile hospitals is discussed.
