We examined 110 patients treated conservatively for cicatricial esophageal stenosis including expansion on the string. The patients were divided into three groups: controls (n = 35), receiving adjuvant SUMS-1 (n = 38) and given adjuvant enterosgel (n = 37). According to electron microscopy, enterosorbents make esophageal mucosa denser by decreasing interstitial spaces as a result of microcirculatory improvement and reduction of edema. Enterosorbents elevate total protein and sugar in the blood.

Algorithms have been developed for the Russian non-invasive blood pressure measuring monitor MPK-01 that applies a frequency excess pressure transducer. The monitor uses oscillometry. A preliminary estimate of the accuracy of blood pressure measurement for its conformity to the ANSI/AAMI (USA) and BHS (UK) standards has indicated the legitimacy of the algorithm proposed for processing if there are hardware restrictions inherent in this monitor.

To develop national monitor computer systems (MCS) for intensive cardiological care units, which should be reliable, easy-to-use, and cheaper than their foreign analogues is a pressing scientific and practical problem for Russian medical instrument making. The paper presents the results of development of and clinical experience with MCS at the intensive cardiological care unit of the Republican Clinical Cardiology Dispensary in the Republic of Udmurtia (Izhevsk).

The improvements in the design of the MI-752 microanaerostat, manufactured in this country, are aimed at improving its security. These microanaerostats are recommended to be supplied with seamless cases of various volumes or the rigidity of the case fragments attachment be strengthened with bolts. Unsophisticated devices, high-volume anaerostat and ultramicroanaerostat, are suggested. The former is made of a glove steam sterilizer prechamber, the latter of a glass can, 0.5-0.8 1 volume, with a hermetically screwing lid. Both anaerostats are supplied with 2 taps to be filled with oxygen-free gas mixtures. These apparatuses are simple, convenient, reliable; among their advantages are glass walls and the possibility to do without vacuum pumps.
