RESUMO
Effect of some organic phosphorous compounds on the carp Cyprinus carpio L. in consecutive stages of its development has been studied. The least and most vulnerable stages in carp's development under the action of these compounds have been identified. The gravity of disorders in fish organism on early stages and the degree of pathological changes induced by organic phosphorous compounds have been shown. Embryotoxic and gonadotoxic effect of these compounds has been found.

A hygienic evaluation has been presented of fish bred in pools and treated with commercial crotopolactone for the therapy and prevention of aeromonosis, which was not previously used for this purpose. Basing on the study of the residual amounts of crotonolactone in the fish, of the organoleptic properties, chemical composition and biological value of the fish, as well as on the results of a chronic (12 months) experiment on test animals, the authors have made a conclusion on the possibility of using this fish as food for humans. Certain doses of commercial crotonolactone are recommended for the treatment of aeromonosis in fish.
