[Characteristics of the repeat prosthesis of patients who have worn dentures for a long time]. / Osobennosti povtornogo protezirovaniia bol'nykh, dlitel'noe vremia pol'zovavshikhsia protezami.

To study the peculiarities of installing new dentures in patients after a long-lasting use of full removable dentures, 77 patients were investigated aged 44 to 86 years which had previously used the dentures for 3 to 24 years. With respect to the character of plastic dentures abrasion and related changes in occlusion 2 groups of patients were singled out. The new dentures were constructed with due consideration of the changes in jaw respective positions with their limits extended and, on indications, porcelain dentures installed.
