The paper deals with the topical problem in the combined effect of detergents and priority pollutants (pesticides, mineral fertilizers, and heavy pollutants) on the body and the quality of the environment. Under combined man-made environmental pollution, surfactants may substantially alter the behavior and toxicity of many chemical substances, which requires that these studies should be continued.

[Hemodynamics of nasal mucosa, nasal respiration and mucociliary transport in health and disease]. / Gemodinamika slizistoi obolochki polosti nosa, nosovoe dykhanie i mukotsiliarnyi transport v norme i patologii.

The method of transillumination rhinography is proposed which provides a graphic image of hemodynamics of nasal mucosa, nasal respiration and mucociliary transport. Changes of the above hemodynamics in different nasal diseases are described. Rhinothermopharmacology is proposed as a new approach to assessment of the known regularities.

[An evaluation of the mutagenic background and mutational variability of the population in a region with a high intensity of pesticide use]. / Otsenka mutagennogo fona i mutatsionnoi izmenchivosti u naseleniia v regione s vyskoi intensivnost'iu primeneniia pestitsidov.

The mutagenicity of soils (on A. cepa and Tr. poludosa) and chromosome aberration level in population have been studied in two Uzbekistan areas. The obtained results are evidence of global contamination of the whole region by mutagenic and toxic chemicals. The mutation level in test objects and frequency of chromosome aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes in the examined persons have not been correlated. The condition of the area studied is classified by mutagenic contamination as "critical".

[A comparative ecological-genetic assessment of the mutagenic background in 2 agricultural districts of the Transcarpathian Province]. / Sravnitel'naia ékologo-geneticheskaia otsenka po mutagennomu fonu dvukh sel'skokhoziaistvennykh raionov v Zakarpatskoi oblasti.

The estimation of the total mutagenic overloading and chromosome variability in population of two Transcarpathian regions in Ukraine differing in the intensity of pesticides use has been studied. The statistically significant differences in mutagenicity of soil (on the growing seed Allium cepa), mutability of agricultural crops (Vicia sativa, Avena sativa) and chromosome aberrations level in peripheral lymphocytes in juveniles have been determined.

[Effect of local hyper- and hypothermia on hemodynamics and viability of the ischemic intestine]. / Vliianie lokal'noi giper- i gipotermii na gemodinamiku i zhiznesposobnost' ishemizirovannoi kishki.

Chronic experiments in animals have shown that local hyperthermia aggravates sequellae of the intestine ischemia. It has been established that hypothermia has a favourable effect on the development and outcomes of the ischemic process in the bowel.

[Hemodynamic and motility disorders of the gastrointestinal tract in intramural ischemia]. / Narusheniia gemodinamiki i motoriki zheludochno-kishechnogo trakta pri intramural'noi ishemii.

Angiotensometry and pulsomotorography were used to study ischemia in the hollow organs in dog experiments. Specific and nonspecific disturbances, criteria of compensation and decompensation were determined. Using different methods of stimulation, stable microhemodynamic signs of ischemia--lowered pulse and motor oscillations, intramural blood pressure elevations and transformation of impulse blood flow into continuous one--were found.

[Determination of the viability of the intestine with the use of angiotensometry and pulsomotorography]. / Opredelenie zhiznesposobnosti kishki s pomoshch'iu angiotenzometrii i pul'somotorografii.

Intramural angiotensometry and pulsomotorography were used for determining the vital ability of ischemic intestine in experiment and in clinic. They are shown to be expedient in intestinal obstruction, incarcerated hernias and resection of the bowel. Intramural pulse waves registered by pulsomotorography proved to be reliable criteria in cases with doubtful vital ability of the bowel. Changes in motor activity of ischemic portions of the intestine were proved not to show the degree of its vital ability.
