[POSITIVE EFFECTS OF MODERN IMMUNOCORRECTION ACCORDING TO THE ANALYSIS OF CYTOKINES AND SLPI IN PATIENTS WITH PYELONEPHRITIS].

The peculiarities of cytokines as compounds of immunogenesis are shown in the patients having acute (A) and chronic (Ch) pyelonephritis (PN). The combination of antibacterial therapy with Nukleinat and Galavit promotes the positive changes of cytokin-producing ability of immunocompetent cells and decrease in the level of proinflammation cytokines in blood and urine, secretory leucocyte protease inhibitor (SLPI) in urine. In children with PN and adult patients with diagnostically elevated titres of antibodies (IgG) to Herpes simplex virus, Cytomegalovirus are shown the positive effects of Kanephron® H and Proteflazidum, accordingly. Clinico-immunological effects of immunomodulators testify to the expediency of this usage in complex therapy with the aim to modulate the cytokine link of immunity for improvement of the effective treatment in APN and the protection against aggravation of kidney functioning in ChPN.

[Differential diagnosis of the transplant rejection and herpesvirus-related infections in kidney transplant recipients]. / Differentsial'naia diagnostika reaktsii ottorzheniia transplantata i gerpesvirusnykh zabolevanii u retsipientov posle peresadki pochki.

An algorythm of differential diagnosis conduction of the transplant rejection reaction and the diseases caused by herpes viruses in recipients after the kidney transplantation was elaborated, basing on the analysis of results of the clinical, laboratory, immunological and serological examination methods.

[Ionizing radiations and the antimicrobial resistance of the body in warm-blooded animals]. / Ioniziruiushchie izlucheniia i antimikrobnaia rezistentnost' organizma teplokrovnykh.

Various aspects of ionizing radiation action on microorganisms and course of endo- and exogenous infections are considered. The immune response is discussed from the standpoint of its significance in development of infectious-inflammatory processes under conditions of radiation of a microorganism and higher radiation background. Quantitative and functional changes in the immune system of the organism subjected to radiation are discussed in detail and peculiarities of these changes under low doses of radiation are shown. The analysis of the data obtained has confirmed a decrease of the natural resistance of organism to various infectious agents of endo- and exogenous origin under the effect of ionizing radiation; the main reason of that is disturbance of the immunity system, particularly at the cellular level.

[The development of protracted pneumonias in patients with a history of influenza and acute respiratory diseases]. / Razvitie zatiazhnykh pnevmonii u bol'nykh, perenesshikh gripp i ostrye respiratornye zabolevaniia.

A study is presented of 582 patients with acute viral-bacterial pneumonia in those with a history of influenza and acute respiratory disease (ARD). Protracted course of the disease was observed in 121 (20.8%) and 461 (79.2%) the course of pneumonia was acute. It is shown that the formation of protracted of acute pneumonia in patients with influenza and ARD is furthered by several factors: age, foci of chronic infection, a history of inflammation, increased level of circulating immune complexes, late hospitalization and inadequate therapy. Experiments on Syrian hamsters with induced parainfluenzal infection showed that mixed viral-bacterial infection is more severe than monoinfection.

[The clinical characteristics of diseases caused by Mycoplasma hominis]. / Klinicheskaia kharakteristika zabolevanii, vyzvannykh Mycoplasma hominis.

Of 1125 patients with acute respiratory diseases (complicated) and uncomplicated 49 (4.4%) showed infection caused by Mycoplasma hominis. The diagnosis was established by serological and microbiological methods. The authors describe the microbiological method of detection of the pathogen in nasopharyngeal wash offs and sputum. Illustrative clinical examples are presented.

[Use of the indirect immunofluorescence test in the diagnosis of an infection, caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae]. / Ispol'zovanie reaktsii nepriamoi immunofliurestsentsii v diagnostike infektsii, vyzvannoi Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

The indirect immunofluorescence test has been used for the serodiagnosis of M. pneumoniae infections in two paired blood sera of patients with acute respiratory diseases and acute pneumonia. The optimum methods for obtaining M. pneumonia antigen, its fixation and storage have been determined. The data on the study of the sensitivity, specificity and diagnostic value of the test are presented. The indirect immunofluorescence test has been shown to be capable of the simultaneous detection of complete (complement-binding) and incomplete (not binding the complement) antibodies to M. pneumoniae. This test may be used in the diagnostic practice as a highly sensitive, specific and sufficiently simple serological method.
