RESUMO

In 56 patients with acute empyema of the pleura the level of aggregate kininogen and prekallikrein, free kallikrein and kininase activities in blood plasma and supernatant of pleural exudate were studied. It was established that epsilon-aminocapronic acid, contrykal and gordox suppress free kallikrein activity in the blood plasma and supernatant of pleural exudate. Intravenous and local application of proteolysis inhibitors resulted in improvement of the outcomes of the disease.

RESUMO

The responses of neuroendocrine system to maximum and subjective-optimum physical loading were found to be similar in young men and characterized by activation of adrenocortical, somatotropic and thyroid functions, particularly under maximum loading. The subjective-optimum loading was dosed out by the subjects themselves, differentiated individually and averaged 62% of the maximum oxygen consumption. The parameters of subjective-optimum physical loading were close to the threshold level necessary to stimulate neuroendocrine system and ensure an increase of somatotropine, cortisole, thyroxine and aldosterone concentration in the blood.

RESUMO

The results of study of the blood flow rate in the gastric mucosa by means of intraoperative rheography and content of the main components of kallikrein-kinin system in the systemic and regional blood flow were compared. It was established that increase in the volumetric blood flow rate in patients with a complicated duodenal ulcer disease was caused by activation of the kallikrein-kinin system in the regional blood flow. Blockade of the celiac plexus has a pronounced effect on the state of a kallikrein-kinin system.

RESUMO

Blood kallikrein-kinin system (KKS) was studied in 80 pregnant women with gestoses of various severity and in 20 females with normal pregnancy. Kinin-formation and degradation were analysed and the exhaustion of these processes stated. Its degree was found in proportion with gestosis severity. Prekallikrein levels depended on the predominance of hypertensive disease or albuminuria occurrence. The aforementioned exhaustion possibly resulted from the preliminary activation of kallikrein-kinin system links which took place at the initial stages of gestosis to promote the adjustment of female circulation to increased loads.

RESUMO

The effects of thymus ablation and injection of thymalin on the blood plasma kallikrein-kinin system were studied. Thymus ablation was followed by activation of kinin formation, evidenced by an elevation of the total kallikrein activity and drop of the kininogen level. Injection of thymalin into thymectomized animals makes the characteristics under study return to normal.
