RESUMO

Recycled water can be brought up to the potable grade by adding minimal quantities of three soluble concentrates with the maximal content of inorganic salts. The authors present results of 3-year storage of potable water mineralized with makeup concentrates and analysis of potable water prepared with the use of the salt concentrates stored over this period of time. A water mineralization unit has been designed based on the principle of cyclic duty to produce physiologically healthy potable water with a preset salt content.

RESUMO

Purpose of the investigation was to develop a technique of irradiation sterilization of batch syringes with concentrated salt solutions (CaCl2 solution and a mixed solution of MgSO4, NaHCO3 and K2SO4). The syringes are used for mineralization of water produced by orbital systems of electrochemical regeneration of air humidity condensate, and deionized or distilled water from other sources. The paper describes composition of resultant potable water and analyzes quality of irradiation sterilization and stability of concentrated salts inside the syringes irradiated on gamma-source RTs-100M.

RESUMO

The possibility to mineralize water by metering out concentrated salt solutions in the amounts necessary to bring it to within the potable water standards with intermediate exchange of chlorine ions for bicarbonate-ions has been demonstrated. The proposed technique ensures physiological quality and stability of recovered water mineralized with solutions of inorganic salts. Stability of concentrated salt solutions kept in metering syringes and potable water was evaluated. Organoleptic tests of resultant potable water were conducted.
