RESUMO

The results of surgical treatment of 54 patients, suffering the brain cystic meningiomas of various localization, were analyzed. The patients were operated on in universal conditions by neurosurgeons of one operative team, of them 24 using new technologies. Wide application of new technologies in surgery of the brain cystic meningiomas have permitted to reduce the surgical intervention invasiveness essentially, and, as a consequence, to reduce trustworthily the operation time essentially, as well as the intraoperative blood loss severity.

RESUMO

The issues on optimization of the restoration treatment of patients, suffering the brain meningioma, were discussed, basing on analysis of 498 observations. Tactics of the patients management in noncomplicated, complicated and severe course of postoperative period is adduced. The indices of survival and lethality, peculiarities of the infusion therapy were analyzed. The role of plasm-restituting preparations was demonstrated in complicated course of postoperative period. Rational complex approach to the restoration measures and intensive therapy conduction promotes the treatment efficacy raising, the patients fair quality of life securing in the brain meningioma in postoperative period.

RESUMO

Issues of the restoration treatment optimization of patients with locally spread extracerebral tumors (LSET) were discerned basing on analysis of 54 observations. The role of reconsructive-restoration operations, depending on the tumor localization, size and invasiveness was shown, as well as the role of radiation therapy in complex restorational treatment. Rational complex approach to conduction of rehabilitation measures constitute the factor, promoting the treatment efficacy raising and providing for satisfactory quality of life in patients with LSET.

RESUMO

The contents of receptors of steroid hormones (estrogen and progesterone) in cerebral meningioma was studied up. Comparison between this hormones level and mostly significant clinico-morphological characteristics of meningioma was conducted. High frequency of estrogen and progesterone revealing in the tumor tissue permits to suggest the possibility of their application as a test of her hormonal sensitivity and is important for the disease course prognosis and an adequate methods of treatment choice as well.

RESUMO

A comprehensive clinical, histological, and immunohistochemical evaluation was done of 42 intracranial meningiomas in patients with hyperostosis in the postoperative period. It has been ascertained that hyperostosis in meningiomas is a direct bone tumour invasion. Bone invasion is not a sign of malignant transformation of meningiomas. It is shown that meningiomas with hyperostosis are hormone-dependent tumours. In tumours, there has been detected a high concentration of progesterone and estrogen active receptors. It is shown that hyperostosis is a consequence of hormone-related abnormalities of Ca metabolism. Special stress is laid on ridding the bone of hyperostosis at tumour removal to reduce the number of tumour recurrences.

RESUMO

Basing on analysis of the clinico-laboratory investigations results the risk factors, provoking origination of intracranial meningioma (IM), were revealed in periods of maximal activity of an organism, pubertal and climacteric changes: hormonal disorders, roentgen irradiation, hereditary-genetic factors, cranio-cerebral trauma. In 8 patients receptors of estrogens and progesterone were revealed. Influence on these factors would permit to increase the possibilities of treatment with nonoperable and recurrent IM.

RESUMO

The microtopographic-anatomic substantiation of anterior transpyramid approaches to the skull base tumors was conducted. The transpyramid approaches introduction in clinical practice had permitted to improve surgical treatment results in patients with the difficult of access skull base tumors. Indications and choice of approach depending on the kind, localization and tumor spread in the skull base in the temporal bone pyramid part were substantiated.

RESUMO

Examined were 106 sufferers with multiple injuries to the peripheral nerves of the extremities. The expediency to use the different methods of surgical intervention, depending on the level and nature of injury have been substantiated. An adequate tactics for surgical treatment of the sufferers with regard for the level and severity degree of an injury to the extremity has been developed. The immediate and long-term results of treatment of the patients were studied.
