PIP: In the course of 15 years, there were about 220 juvenile mothers (i.e., .75%) out of a total of 29,188 at the authors' hospital. The social structure of parents has remained unchanged. The frequency of complications among juvenile mothers did not exceed the average for the entire group and there have been no more complicated cases. The frequency of operational deliveries among juvenile mothers has been considerably lower (1.46%) and the percentage of large fetuses has been lower as well. The frequency of breech deliveries was higher than the clinical average.^ieng

PIP: From 1954 to 1968 there were 29,188 deliveries at the II. Gynecologic-obstetrics Hospital in Bratislava. During separate 5-year periods a change came about in the age-group structure, chiefly in the parity. The most striking decrease is that of the frequency of women who delivered more than 2 children. Comparing the duration of deliveries in the years 1954 and 1968, there was a reduction from 16 hours 19 minutes to 11 hours 3 minutes in the case of primiparas and from 9 hours 45 minutes to 7 hours 12 minutes in the case of multiparas. The frequency of protracted labors decreased considerably.^ieng
