RESUMO

Detecting dangerous illnesses connected to the skin organ, particularly malignancy, requires the identification of pigmented skin lesions. Image detection techniques and computer classification capabilities can boost skin cancer detection accuracy. The dataset used for this research work is based on the HAM10000 dataset which consists of 10015 images. The proposed work has chosen a subset of the dataset and performed augmentation. A model with data augmentation tends to learn more distinguishing characteristics and features rather than a model without data augmentation. Involving data augmentation can improve the accuracy of the model. But that model cannot give significant results with the testing data until it is robust. The k-fold cross-validation technique makes the model robust which has been implemented in the proposed work. We have analyzed the classification accuracy of the Machine Learning algorithms and Convolutional Neural Network models. We have concluded that Convolutional Neural Network provides better accuracy compared to other machine learning algorithms implemented in the proposed work. In the proposed system, as the highest, we obtained an accuracy of 95.18% with the CNN model. The proposed work helps early identification of seven classes of skin disease and can be validated and treated appropriately by medical practitioners.

RESUMO

Brain cancer is a rare and deadly disease with a slim chance of survival. One of the most important tasks for neurologists and radiologists is to detect brain tumors early. Recent claims have been made that computer-aided diagnosis-based systems can diagnose brain tumors by employing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as a supporting technology. We propose transfer learning approaches for a deep learning model to detect malignant tumors, such as glioblastoma, using MRI scans in this study. This paper presents a deep learning-based approach for brain tumor identification and classification using the state-of-the-art object detection framework YOLO (You Only Look Once). The YOLOv5 is a novel object detection deep learning technique that requires limited computational architecture than its competing models. The study used the Brats 2021 dataset from the RSNA-MICCAI brain tumor radio genomic classification. The dataset has images annotated from RSNA-MICCAI brain tumor radio genomic competition dataset using the make sense an AI online tool for labeling dataset. The preprocessed data is then divided into testing and training for the model. The YOLOv5 model provides a precision of 88 percent. Finally, our model is tested across the whole dataset, and it is concluded that it is able to detect brain tumors successfully.

RESUMO

Nowadays, healthcare is the prime need of every human being in the world, and clinical datasets play an important role in developing an intelligent healthcare system for monitoring the health of people. Mostly, the real-world datasets are inherently class imbalanced, clinical datasets also suffer from this imbalance problem, and the imbalanced class distributions pose several issues in the training of classifiers. Consequently, classifiers suffer from low accuracy, precision, recall, and a high degree of misclassification, etc. We performed a brief literature review on the class imbalanced learning scenario. This study carries the empirical performance evaluation of six classifiers, namely Decision Tree, k-Nearest Neighbor, Logistic regression, Artificial Neural Network, Support Vector Machine, and Gaussian Naïve Bayes, over five imbalanced clinical datasets, Breast Cancer Disease, Coronary Heart Disease, Indian Liver Patient, Pima Indians Diabetes Database, and Coronary Kidney Disease, with respect to seven different class balancing techniques, namely Undersampling, Random oversampling, SMOTE, ADASYN, SVM-SMOTE, SMOTEEN, and SMOTETOMEK. In addition to this, the appropriate explanations for the superiority of the classifiers as well as data-balancing techniques are also explored. Furthermore, we discuss the possible recommendations on how to tackle the class imbalanced datasets while training the different supervised machine learning methods. Result analysis demonstrates that SMOTEEN balancing method often performed better over all the other six data-balancing techniques with all six classifiers and for all five clinical datasets. Except for SMOTEEN, all other six balancing techniques almost had equal performance but moderately lesser performance than SMOTEEN.

RESUMO

In today's world, diabetic retinopathy is a very severe health issue, which is affecting many humans of different age groups. Due to the high levels of blood sugar, the minuscule blood vessels in the retina may get damaged in no time and further may lead to retinal detachment and even sometimes lead to glaucoma blindness. If diabetic retinopathy can be diagnosed at the early stages, then many of the affected people will not be losing their vision and also human lives can be saved. Several machine learning and deep learning methods have been applied on the available data sets of diabetic retinopathy, but they were unable to provide the better results in terms of accuracy in preprocessing and optimizing the classification and feature extraction process. To overcome the issues like feature extraction and optimization in the existing systems, we have considered the Diabetic Retinopathy Debrecen Data Set from the UCI machine learning repository and designed a deep learning model with principal component analysis (PCA) for dimensionality reduction, and to extract the most important features, Harris hawks optimization algorithm is used further to optimize the classification and feature extraction process. The results shown by the deep learning model with respect to specificity, precision, accuracy, and recall are very much satisfactory compared to the existing systems.

RESUMO

The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has received significant attention from several leading industries like agriculture, mining, transport, energy, and healthcare. IIoT acts as a vital part of Industry 4.0 that mainly employs machine learning (ML) to investigate the interconnection and massive quantity of the IIoT data. As the data are generally saved at the cloud server, security and privacy of the collected data from numerous distributed and heterogeneous devices remain a challenging issue. This article develops a novel multi-agent system (MAS) with deep learning-based privacy preserving data transmission (BDL-PPDT) scheme for clustered IIoT environment. The goal of the BDL-PPDT technique is to accomplish secure data transmission in clustered IIoT environment. The BDL-PPDT technique involves a two-stage process. Initially, an enhanced moth swarm algorithm-based clustering (EMSA-C) technique is derived to choose a proper set of clusters in the IIoT system and construct clusters. Besides, multi-agent system is used to enable secure inter-cluster communication. Moreover, multi-head attention with bidirectional long short-term memory (MHA-BLSTM) model is applied for intrusion detection process. Furthermore, the hyperparameter tuning process of the MHA-BLSTM model can be carried out by the stochastic gradient descent with momentum (SGDM) model to improve the detection rate. For examining the promising performance of the BDL-PPDT technique, an extensive comparison study takes place and the results are assessed under varying measures. A significant amount of capital is required. It goes without saying that one of the most obvious industrial IoT concerns is the high cost of adoption. Secure data storage and management connectivity failures are common among IoT devices due to the massive amount of data they create. The simulation results demonstrate the enhanced outcomes of the BDL-PPDT technique over the recent methods. Despite the fact that the offered BDL-PPDT technique has an accuracy of just 98.15 percent, it produces the best feasible outcome. Because of the data analysis conducted as detailed above, it was determined that the BDL-PPDT technique outperformed the other current techniques on a range of different criteria and was thus recommended.

RESUMO

In this modern world, we are accustomed to a constant stream of data. Major social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, or Quora face a huge dilemma as a lot of these sites fall victim to spam accounts. These accounts are made to trap unsuspecting genuine users by making them click on malicious links or keep posting redundant posts by using bots. This can greatly impact the experiences that users have on these sites. A lot of time and research has gone into effective ways to detect these forms of spam. Performing sentiment analysis on these posts can help us in solving this problem effectively. The main purpose of this proposed work is to develop a system that can determine whether a tweet is "spam" or "ham" and evaluate the emotion of the tweet. The extracted features after preprocessing the tweets are classified using various classifiers, namely, decision tree, logistic regression, multinomial naïve Bayes, support vector machine, random forest, and Bernoulli naïve Bayes for spam detection. The stochastic gradient descent, support vector machine, logistic regression, random forest, naïve Bayes, and deep learning methods, namely, simple recurrent neural network (RNN) model, long short-term memory (LSTM) model, bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) model, and 1D convolutional neural network (CNN) model are used for sentiment analysis. The performance of each classifier is analyzed. The classification results showed that the features extracted from the tweets can be satisfactorily used to identify if a certain tweet is spam or not and create a learning model that will associate tweets with a particular sentiment.

RESUMO

The cry is a loud, high pitched verbal communication of infants. The very high fundamental frequency and resonance frequency characterize a neonatal infant cry having certain sudden variations. Furthermore, in a tiny duration solitary utterance, the cry signal also possesses both voiced and unvoiced features. Mostly, infants communicate with their caretakers through cries, and sometimes, it becomes difficult for the caretakers to comprehend the reason behind the newborn infant cry. As a result, this research proposes a novel work for classifying the newborn infant cries under three groups such as hunger, sleep, and discomfort. For each crying frame, twelve features get extracted through acoustic feature engineering, and the variable selection using random forests was used for selecting the highly discriminative features among the twelve time and frequency domain features. Subsequently, the extreme gradient boosting-powered grouped-support-vector network is deployed for neonate cry classification. The empirical results show that the proposed method could effectively classify the neonate cries under three different groups. The finest experimental results showed a mean accuracy of around 91% for most scenarios, and this exhibits the potential of the proposed extreme gradient boosting-powered grouped-support-vector network in neonate cry classification. Also, the proposed method has a fast recognition rate of 27 seconds in the identification of these emotional cries.
