Modifying the mass contour with liposuction by developing numerous subcutaneous "tunnels" with subsequent homogeneous contractions of the overlying skin will add a new dimension to the treatment of the Launois-Bensaude syndrome. Successful correction of these deformities can be obtained without a large amount of surgical undermining and skin resection and with minimal scar formation.

The authors analyse a series of 60 cases of mandibular prognathism treated using the technique of Trauner-Obwegeser modified by Dalpont. The last 40 cases involved no surgical procedure as far as the musculature was concerned and no difference in the course of bone healing was noted.

The authors report the case of a myoblastoma with multiple successive and rare localisations: maxilla, cheek, lymphatics, lungs, liver and hyoid bone, with a fatal course over 28 months. They recall the possible malignancy of this tumour even in the absence of histological criteria and suggest its classification on bases which at present are only clinical.

The authors describe the case of a patient with right retrocommissural lesion treated by iridiumtherapy and an enormous orostoma which appeared three years later. Radiography showing a metallic opacity caused hesitation for some time between diagnosis of radionecrosis and a recurrence. Treatment called for extensive excision of the cheek. Satisfactory cover was obtained by means of a broad lingual flap for the deeper layers and by a cervical flap for the superficial layers.

The authors describe a case of upper left genital tumefaction whose development was protracted caused by a cystic lesions of the masseteric lobule of the left parotid gland with a background of parotiditis. It was cured by total parotidectomy with conservation of the facial nerve. Pathogenetic, clinical and therapeutic conclusions are deduced.
