According to the results of X-ray examination conducted in the first 2 days of the disease, 143 patients with myocardial infarction were separated into 2 groups: those with a normal pulmonary pattern and those with congestion or edema of the lungs. In pulmonary congestion the clinical data were at disparity with the X-ray findings in more than half of the patients. At the same time, comparison of the values of volumetric pulmonary rheography and accelerative kinetocardiography, treated by the method of linear discriminant functions, with the findings of pulmonary roentgenography showed only a small percentage (lesser than that in the clinic) of non-coincidence in the diagnosis of congestive left-ventricular failure.
