A specific antiserum to the noncatalytic part of cellobiohydrolase I from Trichoderma reesei was obtained by exhaustion of rabbit antiserum to the native enzyme with its catalytic domain prepared by papain treatment of cellobiohydrolase I tightly adsorbed onto microcrystalline cellulose.

For biomicroscopic study of architectonic and hemodynamic features of uterine vascular bed wide ligation was carried out. It is shown that the vascular bed serves for blood deposition with cyclic change of inflow and outflow intensity. A rhythmic hypoxia results in a decrease of PO2 in the myometrium. The revealed biorhythm is considered evolutionary, determining physiological mechanism of plastic supply of generative function and development of the fetus resistance to hypoxia.

[Use of ribonuclease in multimodal treatment of acute pancreatitis]. / Primenenie ribonuklezy v kompleksnom lechenii ostrogo pankreatita.

The method of intraductal administration of ribonuclease as a therapeutic measure was developed on an experimental model of acute pancreatitis in albino rats. Morphological and biochemical examination showed that intraductal administration of ribonuclease in a dose of 0.5 mg produces a positive therapeutic effect, which allowed the method to be applied in complex treatment of 33 patients with various forms of acute pancreatitis. Administration of ribonuclease into the pancreatic duct relieved the attack of pain and reduced the level of lipo- and proteolytic enzymes in blood. No complications were encountered in endoscopic cannulation of the main pancreatic duct and subsequent administration of ribonuclease.

The authors carried out a comparative examination of 68 patients with duodenal ulcer receiving monotherapy with cithemidine and a combination of cithemidine and dimedrol. Clinical data indicate that combined use of H1- and H2-histamine blockaders produce a reliable therapeutic effect. Morphological investigations of biopsies from the periulcerous region and morphometry of cellular and noncellular structures showed that the mechanism of this effect consists in strengthening of the mast cell apparatus adding the excess of tissue histamine.

An experimental study in 20 pregnant female rabbits was carried out in order to evaluate possible use of biocompatible connective elements and cyanacrylate glue MK-7M for fixing and sealing the uterine scar at cesarean section. Morphologic changes in the surgical area within three postoperative months have been demonstrated. Combined use of biocompatible connective elements and cyanacrylate glue by an original technique is shown to be conducive to the fixation and sealing of the uterine scar as well as its adequate healing. Connective elements have no adverse systemic effects and undergo biodestruction after 3 postoperative months.

[Therapeutic effect of the transfusion of UV-irradiated donor plasma in mechanical jaundice]. / Lechebnyi éffekt transfuzii obluchennoi UF-luchami donorskoi plazmy pri mekhanicheskoi zheltukhe.

The method of intravenous administration of UV-irradiated donor plasma to patients with jaundice of different genesis has been tested in the experiments on rats and used clinically in 20 patients. Biochemical and morphological studies have shown that such treatment causes stable improvement in the liver functional state.

Heterogeneous tonic reactions of the different parts of the mesentery microcirculatory bed to intravenous infusions of noradrenaline and their cessation were revealed. It is assumed that venules play a more important role in the organization of blood circulation in the capillaries and arteriolo-venular anastomoses than arterioles.
