RESUMO

Results of measurable residual disease (MRD)-testing by next-generation sequencing (NGS) correlate with relapse risk in adults with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) receiving chemotherapy or an allotransplant from a human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-identical relative or HLA-matched unrelated donor. We studied cumulative incidence of relapse (CIR) and survival prediction accuracy using a NGS-based MRD-assay targeting immunoglobulin genes after 2 courses of consolidation chemotherapy cycles in 93 adults with B-cell ALL most receiving HLA-haplotype-matched related transplants. Prediction accuracy was compared with MRD-testing using multi-parameter flow cytometry (MPFC). NGS-based MRD-testing detected residual leukemia in 28 of 65 subjects with a negative MPFC-based MRD-test. In Cox regression multi-variable analyses subjects with a positive NGS-based MRD-test had a higher 3-year CIR (Hazard Ratio [HR] = 3.37; 95 % Confidence Interval [CI], 1.34-8.5; P = 0.01) and worse survival (HR = 4.87 [1.53-15.53]; P = 0.007). Some data suggest a lower CIR and better survival in NGS-MRD-test-positive transplant recipients but allocation to transplant was not random. Our data indicate MRD-testing by NGS is more accurate compared with testing by MPFC in adults with B-cell ALL in predicting CIR and survival. RESUMO

Polyoxometalates (POMs) are known for their photocatalytic hydrogen production activity, but their solubility and limited stability often restrict their practical applications. Herein, we designed and solvothermally synthesized two new Cu-H2bpz (3,3',5,5'-tetramethyl-4,4'-bipyrazole, abbreviated as H2bpz) compounds, namely, Cu0.5(H2bpz)(NO3) (1) and Cu(Hbpz)(Cl)·DMF (2), and three new polyoxometalate-based Cu(II)-pyrazolate compounds, namely, Cu(PW12O40)0.5(H2bpz)2(H2O)·(OH)0.5(H2O)5.5 (3), Cu(HPMo12O40)(H2bpz)2(H2O)2·(H2O)4 (4), and Cu2(SiW12O40)(H2bpz)3(H2O)3·(H2O)6 (5). Compound 3 (Cu(PW12O40)0.5(H2bpz)2(H2O)·(OH)0.5(H2O)5.5) exhibits the best photocatalytic activity of 44.4 µ L h-1 g-1, which may be related to the stability of compounds. Herein, the solvothermal method has been proven to be an effective method in synthesizing stable organic-inorganic hybrid compounds with soluble POMs, metal ions, and organic ligands. Thus, heterogeneous catalysts with outstanding solar-light-driven photocatalytic properties were obtained.

RESUMO

It is quite challenging to prepare subnanometer porous materials from traditional porous precursors, and use of supramolecules as carbon sources was seldom reported due to the complex preparation and purification processes. We explore a facile one-pot method to fabricate supramolecular coordination compounds as carbon sources. The resultant CB[6]-derived carbons (CBC) have a high N content of 7.0-22.0%, surface area of 552-861 m2 g-1, and subnano/mesopores. The CBC electrodes have a narrow size distribution at 5.9 Å, and the supercapacitor exhibits an energy density of 117.1 Wh kg-1 and a potential window of over 3.8 V in a two-electrode system in the ionic liquid (MMIMBF4) electrolyte with appropriate cationic (5.8 Å) and anionic (2.3 Å) diameter. This work presents the facile fabrication of novel supermolecule cucurbituril subnanoporous carbon materials and the smart design of "pores and balls" for high-performance energy storage systems.

RESUMO

A new nanocluster-based silver(i) tert-butylethynide compound, namely, (tBuC[triple bond, length as m-dash]CAg)2(Ag4SiW12O40)(DMSO)6 (HT-1), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The two kinds of nanocluster synthons (a silver aggregate named [(tBuC[triple bond, length as m-dash]C)2Ag6(DMSO)6] and a SiW12 polyoxoanion) are assembled into a three-dimensional coordination network, which has a non-centrosymmetric crystal lattice. Powder second-harmonic generation (SHG) measurements reveal that HT-1 belongs to the phase-matchable class with a moderately strong SHG response of about 3 times that of the KH2PO4 (KDP) sample. HT-1 represents the first example of a Ag(i) alkynyl cluster compound with a SHG response. The present study not only extends the application fields of Ag(i) alkynyl clusters but also demonstrates a new paradigm for understanding the Ag(i) alkynyl structural chemistry.
