[The temperature analyzer, thermoregulation and the problems of thermotherapy]. / Temperaturnyi analizator, termoreguliatsiia i nekotorye voprosy termoterapii.

The paper presents data and conceptions on physiological mechanisms of thermoregulation by temperature analyzer at various levels, the relationships between the mechanisms, interaction, influence on systemic trophic function. In view of the knowledge the effects of some novel techniques different in principle from the standard ones applied in thermotherapy are specified.

[Methods of increasing the effectiveness of pulsed heat in cerebrovascular failure and sleep disorders]. / O nekotorykh sposobakh povysheniia éffektivnosti termopul'satsii pri sosudistoi mozgovoi nedostatochnosti i narusheniiakh sna.

During prolonged sessions of pulsed heat (PH) carried out according to the earlier designed technique the authors also recorded on a continuous basis the polyelectrogram of sleep and parameters of the temperature topography of the body. The findings have shown a biphasic nature of the reaction, as well as correlation between the dynamics of the level of awakening and the parameters of the body. Impact of PH on the basic (nasolabial) and additional zones has been found to be fairly effective. The results of two series of studies have demonstrated that incorporation into the therapy of additional zones can augment both soporific effects of PH and its beneficial impact on the cerebral circulation. The data obtained, apart from being of practical significance, have a theoretical importance since they contribute to the better understanding of the physiological mechanisms of PH.

[Functional structure and disorders of the human temperature analyzer and in pathology]. / O funktsional'noi strukture temperaturnogo analizatora cheloveka i ego narusheniiakh pri patologii.

The human temperature analyzer is presented as a multi-level functional structure through which external temperature factors affect the vascular-trophic processes in the body. The pathophysiological mechanisms and clinical manifestations of temperature analyzer impairments at its various levels are described.

[The thermal pulsation methods in studies on certain physiologic mechanisms of the brain stem]. / Metod teplovoi pul'satsii v issledovanii nekotorykh fiziologicheskikh mekhanizmov mozgovogo stvola.

The author describes the physiological relations that emerge on an analysis of the effects of thermal pulsation on the nasolabile area, as well as those between functional systems of thermoregulation, on the one hand, and respiration, vascular tone and sleep control mechanisms, on the other one. Analyzes complex physiological shifts occurring during the procedures of thermal pulsation and the essence of their multivariate clinical significance.

[Thermopulsation rhythms and their importance to the physiology of thermoregulation and clinical practice]. / Ritmy termopul'satsii i ikh znachenie dlia fiziologii termoreguliatsii i kliniki.

Application of thermopulsation as a method of action on the human temperature analyzer for investigative, diagnostic and therapeutic purposes is substantiated on the basis of previous works of the author and his coworkers. New thermopulsation techniques are described and the results of their use are compared. Ideas of some specific mechanisms of thermoregulation and its clinical application are formulated in view of the fact that thermopulsation has proved highly efficacious for respiratory rhythms.

[Clinical and genetic aspects of hereditary acro-osteolysis]. / Nekotorye klinicheskie i geneticheskie aspekty nasledstvennogo akroosteoliza.

The report concerns a description of a case of hereditary acroosteolysis with peculiar clinical and X-ray symptoms. It is being stressed that the neurological changes in different cases differ by their manifold signs and are sometimes the prevalent syndrome. The authors conducted a genetical analysis of 11 cases of hereditary acroosteolysis, which were seen in Dagestan. The paper contains some considerations of the differencies of hereditary acroosteolysis from other similar disorders.

[Lability of the temperature analyzer in neurologic clinical practice]. / Issledovaniia labil'nosti temperaturnogo analizatora v nevrologicheskoi klinike

With the aid of thermopulsation the authors determined the maximal frequencies of separately percepted thermal stimula in the different areas of the skin surface (lability of the thermal analyzer). Such studies were performed in normals and in patients with organic brain and spinal lesions. It was established that in pathological conditions changes of lability go far beyond the limits of corresponding morphological changes and demonstrate distributed neurodynamical shifts. These data are considered from the standpoint of extralemniscal disorders of general sensitivity.

In most of the normals who were studied with the aid of thermal pulsation there was an expressed shift of bioelectrical brain activity towards a synchronization. In patients with generalized epileptical fits and with mesodiencephalic lesions under the influence of thermal pulsation there was a distinct expression an increase of pathological activity. This effect obviously exceeded the results of a use of photostimulation and hyperventilation. In patients with focal lesions of the hemospheres the effectivity of of the method appeared to less.
