Objective@#To explore research hotspots and trends on suicide prevention and intervention among students in the past decade, and to provide a reference for relevant domestic research and practice.@*Methods@#The CiteSpace software was used to visually analyze 1 559 articles on student suicide prevention and intervention in Web of Science core collection database from 2013 to 2022.@*Results@#The number of articles on student suicide prevention and intervention increased from 84 in 2013 to 254 in 2021. Among them, the United States ranked first with 825 articles, and China ranked second with 221 articles. High frequency keywords included risk factors, suicidal ideation, depression and mental health. And high centrality keywords included harm, life, homosexuality and identity. Cluster analysis yielded 17 class groups. By exploring keyword, we found that the popularity of research topics on student suicide prevention and intervention in the past ten years increased rapidly, covering students from different academic backgrouds, which included suicide risk factors and assessment, help seeking for suicide victims, suicide prevention and intervention methods.@*Conclusion@#Learning from international experience, we should strengthen research on student suicide prevention and intervention, pay special attention to the efficeiency of student suicide screening, the gap betweeen the incidence of problems and the rate of help, and try to construct support systems for them.

College students in China are particularly vulnerable to worry. In the meanwhile, the COVID-19 pandemic might worsen anxiety symptoms. However, due to the inconsistency of many studies regarding anxiety symptoms, it has proven challenging to provide accurate psychiatric health treatments to undergraduates. Therefore, in order to determine the prevalence of anxiety among Chinese university students during the COVID-19 epidemic, this study will undertake a systematic review and meta-analysis. English databases (i.e Embase (Ovid), APA PsycInfo, Medline, Pubmed, Cochrane Library) were utilized to identify papers that provide information on the incidence of anxiety among Chinese college students during the pandemic. Two authors evaluated the qualifications of relevant studies, assessed the risk of bias (RoB), and retrieved data. RoB was evaluated using the cross-sectional study quality evaluation criteria from the American Agency for HealthCare Quality and Research (AHRQ). Three hundred seventy-three records were retrieved. Twenty-five studies were eventually included, involving 1,003,743 Chinese college students. The findings of the study identified that the pooled prevalence of anxiety symptoms was 25.0% (95% CI: 21%-29%, P < 0.001), and those among medical-related professionals were lower than those of the general population (22.1% vs. 25%, P < 0.001). In addition, the prevalence of studies with more female respondents was higher than those with fewer female respondents (26.4% vs. 8%). In the later phases of the COVID-19 pandemic compared to the early stages, anxiety prevalence is higher (29.1% vs. 17.2%). Finally, using meta-regression to explore the source of heterogeneity, this study found that the most potential source was whether the graduate students or otherwise. This meta-analysis revealed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, a quarter of Chinese college students had anxiety symptoms. Therefore, it is necessary to provide continuous psychological assessment and treatment services for college students.

Objective@#To understand social anxiety and relevant factors among graduate students under the normalization stage of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control.@*Methods@#Using convenience sampling method, an online questionnaire survey on graduate students from 5 universities in Jiangsu Province was conducted. Measurements used in the survey includes General Self Efficacy Scale (GSES), General Alienation Scale (GAS), Interaction Anxiousness Scale (IAS) and self made survey for basic information and household living conditions.@*Results@#The overall score of graduate students self efficacy was (2.58±0.50). Average score was (30.68±6.22) for alienation, and (47.55±8.77) for interaction anxiety, with detection rate of social anxiety being 43.96%. Increased dependence on smartphones and electronic devices ( OR=1.86, 95%CI =1.32-2.61) and high alienation score (medium level: OR=2.06, 95%CI =1.45-2.92; high level: OR=5.19, 95%CI =1.00-27.00) were positively correlated with social anxiety. Increased communication with friends ( OR=0.65, 95%CI =0.47-0.90 and high self efficacy (medium level: OR= 0.37 , 95%CI =0.21-0.66; high level: OR=0.15, 95%CI =0.08-0.30) were negatively correlated with social anxiety.@*Conclusion@#At the normalization stage of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control, social anxiety of graduate students is one of the mental health issues which need further attention. Participation in peer support helps prevent social anxiety through developing self efficacy, alleviating individual alienation, and reducing dependence on electronic devices among graduate students.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to characterize the circulating exosomal microRNA (miRNA) profiles associated with acute soft tissue injury. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this experimental study, a total of 12 rats were randomly divided into control group and model group (n=6 for each group). The rats in the model group were used to establish an acute soft tissue injury following the mechanical injury of the leg. The exosomes from the peripheral blood of all the rats were isolated and then characterized by Nanosight NS300 particle size analyser (NTA), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and western blot. Next, the exosomal miRNAs in the control and model groups were sequenced, and the differentially expressed miRNAs (DE-miRNAs) were identified using the DESeq algorithm. Functional analyses were performed using Gene Ontology (GO) terms and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway databases. Finally, quantitative reverse-transcription polymersa chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was used to verify the expression of the DE-miRNAs. RESULTS: TEM, NTA and western blot results showed that the exosomes were approximately 100 nm in size and exhibited cup-shaped morphology. A total of 628 miRNAs were obtained by sequencing. After that, 28 DE miRNAs (DEmiRNAs) were identified, including seven down-regulated miRNAs and 21 up-regulated miRNAs. These DE-miRNAs were linked to 7539 target genes with GO. Also, KEGG analyses demonstrated that these genes were enriched for phosphorylation, VEGF signaling pathway, and MAPK signaling pathway. Additionally, the consistency rate between the qRT-PCR and sequencing results was 83.33%, which showed a high relative reliability of the sequencing results. CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that these 28 exosomal miRNAs may be involved in the regulation of acute soft tissue injury, by one of critical biological processes (BP), phosphorylation. The findings provide valuable clues by utilizing exosomes as therapeutic targets for the effective treatment of acute soft tissue injury.
