To determine professional risk groups among the female workers engaged in boot and shoe industry, the general immune resistance state against general bacterial dissemination of the skin was investigated, the serum compliment titre and the neutrophils' phagocytic activity. The risk groups included: healthy females at 40 and older during the first year's adaptation to the labour conditions, female workers with genital inflammatory diseases at 20 and above 40 years of age within first 5 years of work, female workers of all ages with genital inflammatory diseases after 10 years of work, and females with benign neoplasms.
