RESUMO

The objective of this study was to establish a standardized color detection method to achieve low-cost, rapid, nonintrusive and accurate characterization of the color change of smoked chicken thighs during the smoking process. This study was based on machine vision technology using the Mean algorithm, K-means algorithm and K-means algorithm + image noise reduction algorithm to establish 3 colorimetric cards for the color of sugar-smoked chicken thighs. The accuracy of the 3 colorimetric cards was verified by the K-medoids algorithm and sensory analysis, respectively. Results showed that all 3 colorimetric cards had significant color gradient changes. From the K-medoids algorithm, the accuracy of the colorimetric card produced by the Mean algorithm, K-means algorithm and K-means algorithm + image noise reduction algorithm was 87.2, 95.1, and 96.7%, respectively. Meanwhile, the verification results of the sensory analysis showed that the accuracy of the Mean algorithm, K-means algorithm and K-means algorithm + image noise reduction algorithm colorimetric card was 69.4, 80.9, and 79.2%, respectively. A comparative analysis found that the colorimetric cards produced by the K-means algorithm and K-means algorithm + image noise reduction have excellent accuracy. These 2 colorimetric cards could become a suitable method for rapid, low-cost, and accurate online color monitoring of smoked chicken.

RESUMO

We investigated whether low transformation temperature (LTT) welding materials are beneficial to the generation of compressive residual stress around a weld zone, thus enhancing the fatigue performance of the welded joint. An experimental and numerical study were conducted in order to analyze the residual stress in multi-pass T-welded joints using LTT welding wire. It was found that, compared to the conventional welded joint, greater tensile residual stress was induced in the flange plate of the LTT welded joints. This was attributed to the reheat temperature of the LTT weld pass during the multi-pass welding. The formerly-formed LTT weld pass with a reheat temperature lower than the austenite finish temperature converted the compressive residual stress into tensile stress. The compressive residual stress was generated in the regions with a reheat temperature higher than the austenite finish temperature, indicating that LTT welding materials are more suitable for single-pass welding.

RESUMO

The microstructures and weldability of a brazed joint of 1Cr18Ni9Ti austenitic stainless steel with BNi-2, BNi82CrSiBFe and BMn50NiCuCrCo filler metals in vacuum were investigated. It can be observed that an interdiffusion region existed between the filler metal and the base metal for the brazed joint of Ni-based filler metals. The width of the interdiffusion region was about 10 µm, and the microstructure of the brazed joint of BNi-2 filler metal was dense and free of obvious defects. In the case of the brazed joint of BMn50NiCuCrCo filler metal, there were pits, pores and crack defects in the brazing joint due to insufficient wettability of the filler metal. Crack defects can also be observed in the brazed joint of BNi82CrSiBFe filler metal. Compared with BMn50NiCuCrCo and BNi82CrSiBFe filler metals, BNi-2 filler metal is the best material for 1Cr18Ni9Ti austenitic stainless steel vacuum brazing because of its distinct weldability.

RESUMO

The attenuation of a laser by plasma plume can be restrained for laser welding under subatmospheric pressure. Based on the experimental obtained spectra, the extinctions of a probe laser under different subatmospheric pressures and the spatial distribution of probe laser extinction were measured. The role of subatmospheric pressure on plasma plume was analyzed. The results show that, with decreasing ambient pressure, the extinction of a probe laser decreases, and the welding penetration depth increases. The maximum attainable value of extinction gets far away from the keyhole in the transversal and vertical directions. The attenuation of a fiber laser is about 10% under normal atmosphere, and it reaches only about 1% when the ambient pressure is reduced to 3 kPa.
