OBJECTIVE: To investigate the temporal relationship of medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) and forgotten joint score (FJS), and to analysis the predictive factors associated with FJS after medial UKA. METHODS: This is a cross-sectional observational study. A total of 188 cases of medial UKA were included in this study, and all the prostheses used were Oxford mobile-bearing UKA from January 2016 to January 2019. All patients have completed the questionnaire of FJS, and the relevant data were obtained for 1 month (n = 38), 6 month (n = 40), 12 month (n = 42), 24 month (n = 34), and 36 month (n = 34) patient subgroups. The score ranged from 0-100, with a higher score indicating a more natural knee joint. In addition, the associations between the potential influencing factors (body mass index [BMI], age, gender, duration of onset before surgery, Kellgren-Lawrence grade of the medial compartment before surgery) with FJS were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. RESULTS: Postoperative FJSs were 44.5 ± 13.5 at 1 month,63.8 ± 10.1 at 6 months, 77.1 ± 12.2 at 12 months, 78.4 ± 12.2 at 24 months, 78.9 ± 12.5 at 36 months. The postoperative FJSs were lowest at 1 month and highest at 36 month (P < 0.01). The mean value of FJS kept improving until 12 months post-operation, which was slightly lower than that of 24 months and 36 months, but there was no statistical difference between them. Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression analysis showed that gender and Kellgren-Lawrence grade of the medial compartment before surgery had no significant influence on FJS, while age, BMI, and duration of onset before surgery had significant associations with FJS after UKA. BMI was negatively correlated with FJS, while older patients (>60) and with longer duration of onset before surgery (>3 years) were a positive predictor of good outcome for the FJS. CONCLUSION: Patients can expect marked improvement in the natural feel of the prosthesis during the first year after UKA, slight continued improvement at 2 and 3 years. Furthermore, we identified three preoperative patient-related factors (age, BMI, and duration of onset before surgery) that may predict the FJS after medial UKA, which can be used to guide surgical decision making.

OBJECTIVE: To study the effect of cyclin dependent kinase(CDK) inhibitor LS-007 on acute lymphoblastic leukemia and its mechanism. METHODS: The acute lymphocytic leukemia cell line was cultured and treated by LS-007, flavopiridol and ABT-199, then the changes of apoptosis-related factor mRNA and protein levels were detected by using mRNA quantitative PCR and Werstern blot. RESULTS: quantitative PCR and Western blot detection showed that the levels of antiapoptotic protein decreased significantly in acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells after LS-007 treatment, and the pro-apoptotic effect of LS-007 combined with ABT-199 was much better. CONCLUSION: LS-007 can affect the phosphorylation of RNA polymerase sites and promote cell apoptosis through changing the activities of CDK, thus having some positive significance for relieving acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

RESUMO

The seed purity is an important indicator of seed quality. The paper proposes a visual identification method of corn seed based on the near-infrared (874~1,734 nm) hyperspectral image technology. Hyperspectral image data of 4 cultivars of a total of 384 corn seed samples will be acquired. Then 288 of samples are to be selected randomly as the calibration set, and the remaining 96 samples will be used for the prediction set. After inspection of the near-infrared spectral curves, 7 effective wavelengths (EWs) are to be selected by successive projection algorithm (SPA). And then 7 EWs of the calibration set will be used as input to build a partial least squares (PLS) model. Good results are to be obtained with Rc = 0.917 7, RMSECV = 0.444 2; Rcv = 0.911 5, RMSECV = 0.459 9. And the total identification rate of the developed PLS model will be 78.5% for the calibration set and 70.8% for the prediction set. Finally, average spectral data of each corn seed in a hyperspectral image will be extracted by image process technology, and used as input of the developed SPA-PLS model. In the produced identification map, different colors are to be used to represent different predicted cultivars. 3 mixture samples of corn seeds will be identified, and help to achieve satisfied visual effects. The result indicates that, by means of the visual identification technology we could intuitively observe the distribution of corn seeds of different cultivars in mixture samples. The research provides help for the identification and screening of seeds in agricultural production.

We expressed the Arabidopsis thaliana histone AtHTA1 in rice under the control of the maize ubiquitin promoter. Transformation efficiencies of rice plants that constitutively expressed AtHTA1 were 28-44% higher than calli containing an empty vector control. Furthermore, co-infection of rice calli with a vector containing AtHTA1 and another vector with the target gene increased transformation by 27-50%. Thus, expression of AtHTA1 either transiently or in stably transformed cells improved rice transformation efficiency.

A new method was developed to fast discriminate brands of brake fluid by means of visual-near infrared spectroscopy. Five different brands of brake fluid were analyzed using a handheld near infrared spectrograph, manufactured by ASD Company, and 60 samples were gotten from each brand of brake fluid. The samples data were pretreated using average smoothing and standard normal variable method, and then analyzed using principal component analysis (PCA). A 2-dimensional plot was drawn based on the first and the second principal components, and the plot indicated that the clustering characteristic of different brake fluid is distinct. The foregoing 6 principal components were taken as input variable, and the band of brake fluid as output variable to build the discriminate model by stepwise discriminant analysis method. Two hundred twenty five samples selected randomly were used to create the model, and the rest 75 samples to verify the model. The result showed that the distinguishing rate was 94.67%, indicating that the method proposed in this paper has good performance in classification and discrimination. It provides a new way to fast discriminate different brands of brake fluid.

Sunscreen index is the primary indicator of the protection effect of sunscreen cosmetics. A handheld spectrometer was used to study the relationship between sunscreen index and reflectance spectra. Three kinds of Dingjiayi brand sunscreen cosmetics, which is SPF15, SPF20 and SPF30, were chosen as experimental material. The sunscreen cosmetics were divided into 75 samples, and 60 of them were used as calibrated samples, while the other 15 samples were used as prediction samples. The reflectance spectra data were collected by the spectrometer. The data from the wavelength range between 400 and 960 nm were processed by principal component analysis method, and the results showed that the cumulate reliabilities of PC1 and PC2 (the first two principal components) reached 91%. Then partial least square analysis method was applied to build prediction models, and the remaining 15 prediction samples were disposed by this model. The results show that the prediction correlation coefficient is 0.967 7, and the prediction precision is good. So the spectral analysis method proposed in the present paper has good performance in classification and discrimination of sunscreen cosmetics, and is a new approach to test the SPF of cosmetics.
