[Reflections on the introduction of informatics into the nursing profession]. / Reflexões sobre a inserção da informática na profissão de enfermagem.

The paper is an analysis about the impact of introducing informative technology and its consequences in the society, in general professions and mainly, in nursing practice. The authors emphasize the need of major discussions about the insertion of this new technology in nursing profession.

[The introduction of informatics in teaching institutions: the experience of the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto-University of São Paulo]. / A implantação da informática em instituições de ensino: experiência da Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto-USP.

This study broaches something about the utilization of the computer in a school institution and about the implantation of the informatics and also the formation of the human resources in the Nursing School of Ribeirão Preto, from the São Paulo University. Besides this, some commentaries are related to the advantages and the precautions that have to be considered in the use of the applied informatics to the general teaching and specially to the nursing teaching.

[A proposal to combine Roy's conceptual framework with crisis theory]. / Proposta de associação de marco conceitual de Roy com a teoria da crise.

It is reported the crisis theory framework's and is proposed its linkage with the Callista Roy conceptual Model. The aim is to provide the nurse with an instrumental and theoretical framework of the knowledge of the person in crisis intervention. In this proposition is still suggested, a guide to nursing care. It is derived of both theories and exemplified by the author trough practice application.

[The perceptions held by the family and the mental patient about the determinants of a mental disorder]. / Percepções que a família e o paciente psiquiátrico têm sobre os determinantes de um distúrbio mental.

A sample of the population that looks for psychiatric emergency care is characterized in this paper. We investigated the perception these people and/or their families have about the causal factors of the mental disorder occurred in their environment. These perceptions are compared to the ones the psychiatric nurses had about the episode presented.
