RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The purpose of this study is to compare the prognosis and effective rate of interventional embolization and surgical clipping in the treatment of middle cerebral artery aneurysms, to provide evidence-based basis for the selection of clinical treatment. METHODS: By searching PubMed, Cochrane library, Medline, Embase and other databases, we collected the related studies interventional embolization and surgical clipping in the treatment of middle cerebral artery aneurysms, whether it was a randomized controlled trial or not. According to the relevant inclusion and exclusion criteria, 2 researchers independently screened and extracted the relevant data. Quality of life, residual neck and recurrence rate, incidence of ischemic cerebral infarction, intracranial infection rate, incidence of vasospasm and rebleeding rate were measured. Revman5.4 software was used for Meta-analysis. RESULTS: There were 3658 patients included in 30 literatures, including 1478 patients treated with interventional embolization and 2180 patients treated with surgical clipping. The rate of low quality of life (odds ratio [OR] = 1.68, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.36-2.07, P < .00001) and intracranial infection rate (OR = 8.79,95% CI: 4.47-17.27, P < .00001) in the interventional embolization group were lower than those in the surgical clipping group. The postoperative rebleeding rate (OR = 0.46, 95% CI: 0.29-0.73, P = .0009), residual neck and recurrence rate (OR = 0.32, 95% CI: 0.24-0.43, P < .00001) in the interventional embolization group were higher than those in the surgical clipping group. The heterogeneity of residual neck and recurrence rate were high, so subgroup analysis was performed. We divide them into short-term group (OR = 0.68, 95% CI: 0.40-1.13, P = .13) and long-term group (OR = 0.23, 95% CI: 0.16-0.33, P < .00001). The results showed that the residual neck and recurrence rate in the interventional embolization group were higher than those in the surgical clipping group. There was no significant difference in the incidence of cerebral vasospasm (OR = 1.09, 95% CI: 0.64-1.86, P = .74) and ischemic stroke (OR = 0.87, 95% CI: 0.63-1.19, P = .37) between the 2 treatments. CONCLUSION: According to the current clinical research evidence, compared with interventional embolization in the treatment of middle cerebral artery aneurysms, the quality of life of patients after clipping is lower, the incidence of intracranial infection is higher, but the residual neck, and recurrence rate are reduced. The risk of rebleeding is also reduced. There was no significant difference in the incidence of vasospasm and ischemic stroke between the 2 groups.

RESUMO

AIDS-associated Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is the most common HIV-associated neoplasm. Disseminated Kaposi sarcoma became rare with the application of antiretroviral therapy. Oral AIDS-associated KS has prognostic relevance, indicating higher mortality than those with cutaneous lesions only. In this study, we reported a 40-year-old man presented with ulcerated violaceous plaques on his hard palate. Similar lesion can be observed on his left groin and anus, as well as on esophagus and gastric fundus under upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. Histological examination accorded with KS. After five cycles of doxorubicin, his oral, skin and esophagus lesions regressed considerably.

Resin-containing drugs in Dracaena from four different appearances were analyzed by headspace sampling-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(HS-GC-MS) metabolomics technique and hierarchical clustering analysis(HCA) chemometrics method. This study was to analyze differential volatile components in resin-containing drugs in Dracaena from different appearance and metabolic pathways. The results of partial least squares discriminant analysis(PLS-DA) and HCA analysis indicated that there was little difference in volatile components between fiber-rich sample and hollow cork cambium sample, however, the volatile components in the two samples compared with whole body resin-containing sample and resin-secreting aggregated sample had a large metabolic difference. Twenty differential metabolites were screened by VIP and P values of PLS-DA. The content of these differential metabolites was significantly higher in whole body resin-containing sample and resin-secreting aggregated sample than in fiber-rich sample and hollow cork cambium sample. Sixteen significant metabolic pathways were obtained through enrichment analysis(P<0.05), mainly involved in terpenoids biosynthesis and phenylpropanoid metabolism. This result provided a reference for further study of resin formation mechanism of resin-containing drugs in Dracaena from different appearances. At the same time, it also provided a reference for establishing a multi-index quality evaluation system.

Functional oxide interfaces have received a great deal of attention owing to their intriguing physical properties induced by the interplay of lattice, orbital, charge, and spin degrees of freedom. Atomic-scale precision growth of the oxide interface opens new corridors to manipulate the correlated features in nanoelectronics devices. Here, we demonstrate that both head-to-head positively charged and tail-to-tail negatively charged BiFeO3/PbTiO3 (BFO/PTO) heterointerfaces were successfully fabricated by designing the BFO/PTO film system deliberately. Aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopic mapping reveals a head-to-head polarization configuration present at the BFO/PTO interface, when the film was deposited directly on a SrTiO3 (001) substrate. The interfacial atomic structure is reconstructed, and the interfacial width is determined to be 5-6 unit cells. The polarization on both sides of the interface is remarkably enhanced. Atomic-scale structural and chemical element analyses exhibit that the reconstructed interface is rich in oxygen, which effectively compensates for the positive bound charges at the head-to-head polarized BFO/PTO interface. In contrast to the head-to-head polarization configuration, the tail-to-tail BFO/PTO interface exhibits a perfect coherency, when SrRuO3 was introduced as a buffer layer on the substrates prior to the film growth. The width of this tail-to-tail interface is estimated to be 3-4 unit cells, and oxygen vacancies are supposed to screen the negative polarization bound charge. The formation mechanism of these distinct interfaces was discussed from the perspective of charge redistribution.
