RESUMO
A comunicação é um fenômeno complexo e que se configura como solo fértil para pesquisas científicas com as mais diferentes abordagens e campos do conhecimento. Na clínica psicológica, seja individual, familiar ou conjugal, conhecer alguns fundamentos da comunicação se torna fundamental, uma vez que toda intervenção vem da interpretação de algum conteúdo comunicado. O presente artigo visa à discussão de um fragmento de caso clínico, tendo como queixa principal a dificuldade no relacionamento amoroso à luz dos Axiomas Conjecturais da Comunicação, propostos por estudiosos americanos de Palo Alto, Califórnia. A análise evidencia o quão importantes esses conceitos se configuram para o entendimento da interação comunicacional nas relações humanas, especialmente nos relacionamentos familiar e conjugal e como podem auxiliar na intervenção clínica, quando bem compreendidos. Além deste referencial, oportunamente, contribuições oriundas da teoria psicanalítica também foram incluídas neste trabalho.
Communication is a complex phenomenon and it reveals itself as a fertile ground for scientific research, with many different approaches and fields of knowledge. In the Clinical Psychological, whether it is an individual, a family or marital, to get to know some of the basics of communication, it becomes essential, since every intervention comes in the interpretation of any of the content communicated. This article focuses on the discussion of a passage from the case study, having as their chief complaint the difficulty in the love relationship, in the light of the Axioms Conjectural of Communication, as proposed by American scholars in Palo Alto, California, USA. The analysis shows how important these concepts are structured in order to understand the interaction of communication in human relationship, especially in family relationship and marital relationship, and how they can assist in Clinical intervention, which is well understood. In addition to this framework, contributions from psychoanalytic theory were also included in this work.
RESUMO
OBJECTIVE: This paper looked into the findings of a survey on the ethical and emotional aspects encircling the fate of surplus embryos in Assisted Human Reproduction (AHR). METHODS: Five staff members of a fertility clinic in the Brazilian State of São Paulo answered a semi-structured qualitative interview. RESULTS: The answers alluded to the different meanings assigned to embryos by medical staff (genetic material) and couples undergoing fertility treatment (potential child). The meaning couples assigned to their embryos, along with inherent uncertainty and distress, affected the choice of what would be done to surplus embryos. CONCLUSION: Psychological support may be helpful to two key groups present in assisted human reproduction: clinic staff, for support in their interactions with couples; and couples in need of support and awareness on surplus embryo donation.
