RESUMO
The specificity of medical care is analyzed by investigations of causes for disablement during pregnancy in 4,742 cases of working pregnant women. The diagnoses of disablement with a frequency of 9.31% are distributed by equal parts of causes dependent on pregnancy or not. The percentage of sick pregnant women not treated by the gynecologist is very high with 36.4% of causes dependent on pregnancy. For an improvement of the health protection of mother and child the pregnant women with these types of diseases should be referred to the gynecologist for further diagnostic and treatment.

From 600 employed pregnant women at least 61% have got a certificate of disablement one time in their pregnancy. 22.4 days of deficiency due in capability of working have been calculated on an average per employed gravida with statistically significant differences with regard to the degree of qualification and the working sphere of these women, too. Combined with an increase in the degree of qualification, a rising amount of days of deficiency has been found (18.5 days in the group of unskilled workers and 30.9 days in the group of pregnant women with high school graduation). The percentage of disablement also clearly varies in the working sphere of gravidae (53.3% in the administration and 71.4% in the public health service). This investigation is a pilot study and will be enlarged and completed later on.

Treatment of 470 patients for endometrial carcinoma is reported in this paper. Operations were performed on 64 per cent of the patients, among them vaginal hysterectomy in 70 per cent of the latter figure. Results are likely to confirm that vaginal removal of the uterus and adnexa provides the lowest surgical risk in the age group with predominance of endometrial carcinoma. Previous gynaecological operations, myomatous uterus, and nulliparity are no contraindications to the vaginal route.
