RESUMO

Moringa oleifera is an herb that has the potential to reduce the mortality rate of an embryo. Research about Moringa oleifera treatment toward an embryo of livestock was quite a number. However, there were still very few previous studies that explain the trend of research related to that topic in this decade, 2010-2023. This study tried to observe the research trend related to Moringa oleifera treatment to embryos of livestock in terms of frequently used words inside papers along with their citations. This study gathered 132 data samples from Scopus and 41 data from PubMed and processed them using the bibliometric method. The bibliometric software used was Vosviewer to produce the image of the author's keyword connection and trend and biblioshiny for depicting frequently words used as a title and inside content and mean of total citation/year. This study also used R Studio to complement Vosviewer in conducting the bibliometric method. The result showed that there was no author's keyword that depicted ruminant-type animals instead of cow, and no name of the animal as livestock that was being used as a title of the sample papers. There were also no papers that observed Moringa oleifera to treat sick embryos of livestock and the previous studies used as samples also had a low mean of total citation/year.

RESUMO

Fibroblast is one component of connective tissue cells in polygonal or stellate with cytoplasmic processes or projections. In vitro, tissue culture is an excellent medium used in biomedical research. The goal of this study was to analyze Toxicity and Malignancy in Embryo of Super Java Chicken as Potential Candidates of Strong Poultry in Indonesia. This study used Preparation of fibroblast primary cell culture of Java super chicken embryos, Pathogenicity test using fibroblast cells from Super Java chicken, Toxicity test using fibroblast cells from Super Java Chicken. Primary fibroblast cell culture of Java super chicken embryos was prepared from 10-day-old brood chicken eggs free of pathogens. Cells were prepared in 96-well microplates with minimal essential medium (MEM) containing 10 % fetal calf serum (FCS) 100 IU/ug penicillin/streptomycinVirus isolates were diluted in stages from 10-2 to 10-5 and inoculated into Java Super Chicken Fibroblast cell culture. The result showed that the negative control of the samples had a faster proliferative power than the fibroblast cell culture of Java super chicken, which was treated with concentrations of 10-2; 10-3; 10-4; 10-5. Moreover, before being inoculated with the virus, the confluent fibroblast cells of Java super chicken looked oval and regular. The day after infection, syncytia (large multinucleated cells) began to form on a small scale and became more pronounced on the second and third post-infection days. CPE was found in the 10-2,10-3 and 10-4 virus dilutions, and CPE was not found in the 10-5 dilution.

RESUMO

In veterinary medicine, the concept of disease is critical because it related to the survivability rate of the veterinary, especially livestock. Chicken was the most popular livestock that was observed in veterinary medicine. However, veterinary books were less popular compared to article and conference paper in global academic. This study's goal was to look how was the depiction of topic disease was used in veterinary textbooks that were related to the embryo of chicken as well as the trend of that topic. This study gathered 90 books meta-data donwloaded from Scopus website in form of CSV file. The data were analyzed using Vosviewer and biblioshiny of R Studio software to see the topic trend, citation, and number of book pages. Literature review also used to see the depiction of disease inside samples. Result showed that authors' keywords, heart and disease were closely related with a keyword chicken embryo. Moreover, each book get at least 10-11 citations globally. Moreover, repetitive keywords used in abstract of samples of this study were cells/cell, gene, and human. Those repetitive words were closely related to a word disease. It could be means that cell of the embryo of chicken also played the important role in determining its resistance against disease.

RESUMO

Background: The success of embryo production is largely determined by the accuracy of making medium formulations that are adapted to the age of embryo growth. It is known that the cryopreservation method is widely used for the vitrification of embryos frozen at -196°C. Aims: This study aimed to analyze the embryonic development of mice (Mus musculus L.) and hamsters using culture and vitrification media. Method: This method uses the preferred guide to reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis. Results: Based on the search results, a total of 700 articles were obtained which then entered the elimination stage, resulting in 37 articles on the development of mice embryos (M. musculus L.) and hamsters using culture and vitrification media. Conclusion: Thus, it can be concluded that the identification of the embryonic development of mice (M. musculus L.) and hamsters can be used with the use of culture media and the development of vitrification methods.

RESUMO

Background: Varanus salvator is one of the reptiles being hunted by human beings for several purposes, including traditional medicine. The studies about reproductive biology aspects were limited. Aim: This study aimed to determine the morphology, histology, and histometry of V. salvator paryphasmata and hemibaculum based on Snout-Vent Length (SVL) as an indicator of sexual maturity. Methods: This study examined 18 pairs of hemipenis of V. salvator with SVL more and less than 40 cm in equal number. Paryphasmata and hemibaculum parts were observed visually and micro-sliced, then stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin (HE). The histological observation was conducted under a 40×, 100×, and 400× magnification of a light microscope. The histometry of the paryphasmata was examined using 13 Megapixels Coolpad and OptiLab Plus for microscopic pictures. The chondrocyte cell area was measured using the Optilab Plus and Image Raster three applications. Results: The sizes of glans of hemipenis, paryphasmata, and hemibaculum increased according to the increasing of SVL. The average paryphasmata row number, epidermis, and loose connective tissue thickness were not significantly different (p > 0.05). However, dense connective tissue was thicker (p < 0.05), which corresponds to SVL. Hemibaculum was composed of fibrous and hyaline cartilage characterized by chondrocyte cells. The SVL also affects (p < 0.05) the ossification of hyaline in hemipenis, while the chondrocyte cell area followed the equation -1.87E7 + 7.09E5* SVL. Conclusion: The SVL size of V. salvator affects the paryphasmata, hemibaculum, thickness of dense connective tissue of paryphasmata, and the area of chondrocyte cells.
