[Occupational bronchial asthma]. / Nekotorye aspekty professional'noi bronkhial'noi astmy.

Examination of 400 patients with occupational bronchial asthma helped to identify various clinical and pathogenetic variants of the disease in accordance with independent and combined occupational allergens and irritants. The authors evaluated diagnostic value of endonasal tests with occupational allergen, rhinocytologic tests and some specific allergologic blood tests in vitro.

[The diagnostic value of endonasal provocation with chemical antigens in occupational respiratory allergoses]. / O diagnosticheskoi znachimosti éndonazal'noi provokatsii s khimicheskimi antigenami pri professional'nykh respiratornykh allergozakh.

Allergologic study covered 500 workers who underwent exposure to hexavalent chromium and 150 workers exposed to formaldehyde. The study proved high specificity and diagnostic value of endonasal provocation with hapten. Endonasal provocation with chemical antigen helps to disclose an etiologic role of the hapten in upper and lower respiratory tract allergy. Endonasal provocation with chemical allergen reveals latent sensibilization of respiratory tract mucosa in apparently healthy workers with no allergic signs. The data obtained could be valuable for diagnosis of occupational allergies, for examination of capacity to work, for occupational examinations, for rational medical and occupational rehabilitation.

[The effect of increased voice and psychophysiological loads on the health status of interpreter guides]. / Vliianie povyshennoi golosovoi i psikhofiziologicheskoi nagruzok na sostoianie zdorov'ia gidov-perevodchikov.

Clinical, functional and psychologic evaluation of interpreters revealed new data about influence of intensive vocal work and psychoemotional stress on occurrence of vocal apparatus disorders, cardiovascular diseases and central nervous system disturbances. The results are essential for early diagnosis and prophylaxis of vocal disorders and central nervous system disturbances.

[The clinical and diagnostic aspects of sensitization to an industrial allergen of chemical nature (exemplified by hexavalent chromium)]. / Klinicheskie i diagnosticheskie aspekty sensibilizatsii k promyshlennomu allergenu khimicheskoi prirody (na primere shestivalentnogo khroma).

Examination of 531 workers engaged in alumina production and exposed to hexavalent chromium has revealed the characteristic features of occupational allergic pathology, established the relationship between the sensitization effect and the concentration of haptene as well as the state of aggregation of the industrial aerosol. Based on many years' observation over the workers the data have been obtained, characterizing the dynamics of the pathological process. The investigations carried out may turn out of importance for the diagnosis of occupational allergoses, expert medical evaluation of the working capacity and follow-up of the patients, and adequate solving of the problems of medical and labour rehabilitation.
