[Effect of water on silica gel adsorption of blood plasma components].

In this work, the study of properties of silica gel as an adsorbent for plasmasorption has been performed. Investigations have been realized of the effect of silica gel preliminary treatment conditions and a period of plasma with silica gel contact on plasmasorption characteristics of human blood plasma components, such as protein, triglycerides, cholesterol (high-density and low-density one). The results obtained can be used for variation of silica gel adsorption properties, in situ at the adsorbent preparation process. For explanation of the experimental concentration and kinetic (temporal) characteristics of plasmasorption, the model of silica gel grains charging at the hydration was used.

[Results of endoscopic application of Erisod in complex treatment of acute uncomplicated gastroduodenal ulcers].

An analysis of results of endoscopic application of Erisod in complex treatment of 30 patients with acute uncomplicated gastroduodenal ulcers has shown that local application of Erisod makes the period of epithelization of ulcerous defects on average 5 days shorter. The positive effect of using Erisod in complex therapy of gastroduodenal ulcers in elderly patients with pathology of the cardio-vascular system emphasizes the significance of antioxidant insufficiency in the appearance of acute uncomplicated gastroduodenal ulcers.

[Evaluation of caries susceptibility in Northern Russian population by evaluation of medium-weight-molecular substances and oligopeptides]. / Otsenka kariesvospriimchivosti zubov u zhitelei Severa Rossii s ispol'zovaniem metoda registratsii srednemolekuliarnykh veshchestv i oligopeptidov.

Students of the Arkhangelsk State Medical Academy living in this area from the birth date and those from other climatic zones were examined. The metabolic status indices were defined content of low and middle molecular mass substances in blood and mixed saliva. There were certain features of biological fluidin spectrograms of caries susceptible persons. It was found that caries susceptibility of teeth depends on middle molecular substances pool in biological fluids.

[Differential diagnosis of acute atypical pneumonias and active pulmonary tuberculosis]. / Differentsialnaia diagnostika ostrykh nespetsificheskikh pnevmonii i aktivnogo tuberkulëza lëgkikh.

Nonspecific reactivity was assessed by the quantity of middle-mass molecules (MMM) and specific antibody formation in patients with acute pneumonias and active pulmonary tuberculosis. Tuberculous patients demonstrated a rise in the number of MMM in the plasma, serum, red cell membranes both in the total pool and in the oligopeptide fraction; higher plasmic toxemia, red cell and blood intoxication indices, blood toxemia rate. Antibody formation was more active in tuberculous patients.

[Diagnosis of the stages of endogenous toxemia and differentiated use of of the methods of efferent therapy ]. / Diagnostika stadii éndogennoi intoksikatsii i differentsirovannoe primenenie metodov éfferentnoi terapii.

The work is supposed to estimate intoxication by summary indices of the medium and low mass molecules and oligopeptides in plasma, erythrocytes and urine. The indices developed made it possible to determine the stage of endogenous intoxication and to choose differentially the optimal methods of efferent therapy or a combination of methods.

[Experimental substantiation of intestinal sorption in acute pancreatitis]. / Eksperimental'noe obosnovanie énterosorbtsii pri ostrom pankreatite.

Enterosorption on the carbon material Vaulen was performed in experiments in albino rats with the model of acute pancreatitis. The application of enterosorbents was shown to increase the percentage of survival of the animals, to decrease the activity of pancrease enzymes in the blood, components of the Kallikrein-Kinin system, proteolysis products. The clinical observations support the expediency of using this detoxication method.

[Nature of the organic lesions in uremic poisoning]. / Priroda organnykh porazhenii pri uremicheskoi intoksikatsii.

It was shown that a set of substances with median and low molecular weight obtained in sick children with chronic renal insufficiency by the method of ultrafiltration possessed pronounced biological activity. When injected to experimental animals they decreased the renal and hepatic arterial blood flow, caused microcirculatory alterations in vitally important organs, increased vascular permeability and activity of lysosomal enzymes.
