RESUMO

We demonstrated a compact and efficient Ho:YAG slab laser intra-cavity pumped by a Tm:YLF slab laser for the first time. In the Tm:YLF laser operation, the maximum power of 32.1 W with optical-to-optical efficiency of 52.8% was obtained. In the intra-cavity pumped Ho:YAG laser operation, the output power of 12.7 W at 2122 nm was obtained. The beam quality factors M2 in the vertical and horizontal directions were 1.22 and 1.11, respectively. The RMS instability was measured to be lower than 0.1%. To the best of our knowledge, this was the maximum power for the Tm-doped laser intra-cavity pumped Ho-doped laser with near-diffraction-limited beam quality.

RESUMO

We demonstrate a compact and efficient Ho:YLF slab laser that is pumped by a self-made Tm:YAP slab laser. The maximum output power of 125 W at 2064 nm was obtained with the incident pump power of 245 W. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report for an Ho:YLF laser oscillator to reach hundred-watts-level output power. The slope efficiency with respect to the incident pump power was 62.5%, and the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency was 51%. The RMS instability of the maximum output power was measured to be 0.24% in 30 min. The beam quality factors M2 were 475 and 1.59 in the x and y directions, respectively.

RESUMO

A compact laser-diode dual-end-pumped 3 at. % a-cut Tm:YAP InnoSlab laser with the output power of 254 W in 1.99 µm has been demonstrated. The slope efficiency with respect to the incident pumped power is 45.9%, and the optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is 36.5%. The RMS stability of the maximum output power is better than 0.1% in 30 min. Beam quality factors M2 are 250 in the x direction and 4.7 in the y direction. Additionally, the shape of the output laser spot is rectangular.

RESUMO

We report what we believe to be potential improved performance for a Nd:YAG discrete path slab amplifier configuration based on a hybrid resonator system. The amplifier is driven by a Q-switched 0.3 mJ nanosecond oscillator that generates an initial laser pulse at a repetition rate of 5 KHz and has beam quality of M2<1.3. The input pulse makes 12 passes through the slab amplifier to yield 25 mJ output pulse energy at the absorbed pump power of 878 W. A corresponding optical-to-optical efficiency of 14.3% was obtained, and the beam quality factors M2 in the unstable and stable direction were 1.7 and 1.5, respectively. No detectable signs of amplified spontaneous emission were observed.

RESUMO

A diode-pumped nanosecond eight-pass amplifier with Nd:YVO4 crystal was developed. Combined with the advantages of direct pumped and Innoslab structure, a high energy pulse was obtained by using the wedged multi-folded configuration with two plane mirrors. The 0.4mJ Q-switched seed at the pulse repetition frequency of 10kHz was amplified to 8.4mJ with the pump power of 330W, and the corresponding optical-to-optical efficiency was 29.8%. The M2 factors in the horizontal direction and vertical direction were 1.48 and 1.39, respectively. And no remarkable of ASE was observed.

RESUMO

We demonstrated a laser-diode, end-pumped picosecond amplifier. With effective shaping of the seed laser, we achieved 73 W amplified laser output at the pump power of 255 W, and the optical-optical efficiency was about 28%. The beam propagation factors M(2) measured at the output power of 60 W in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction were 1.5 and 1.4, respectively.

RESUMO

We demonstrate a high-power laser diode stacks double-end-pumped Nd:YVO4 1064 nm slab laser with a folded stable-unstable hybrid resonator. An output power of 220 W was obtained at the pump power of 490 W with optical conversion efficiency of 44.9%. At the output power of 202 W, the M2 factors in the unstable direction and in the stable direction were 1.7 and 2.3, respectively.
