RESUMO

In the world today, the demand for the preparations and cosmetics, made of peloids is increasing significantly, which is explained by the increased interest of the community to the ecologically clean raw materials of natural origin, it often replaces expensive chemical preparations, which are often accompanied by some contraindications. The increased interest in peloids in the world put on the agenda the question of rational use of acting mud mines as well as the problem of cosmetic and medicinal preparations, developed on their basis. It is noteworthy that the development of ready-made, soft drug forms from the Adjara region sulfide silt peloids is one of the most topical and important issues, as at present there is not available the form of ready-made drugs containing the sulfide silt peloids of this region. Therefore, the aim of the research was to develop the formulation and technology of the hydrogel, containing the Adjara region sulfide silt peloid. The sulfide silt peloid of the Ardagani lake have been used for preparing the hydrogel compositions, as it is distinguished by its advantageous physical-chemical properties and content of biologically active ingredients compared with other studied peloids. The main physical-chemical and technological characteristics of hydrogels compositions have been studied using the following methods: uniformity, pH, the colloidal stability, thermal stability , osmotic activity - by dialysis method using semiconductor membrane (Kruvichinski method), release of active ingredient was studied by using Franz diffusion cells, viscosity was determined by Viscometer RVDV-1 T (Dongguan Zhongli Instrument Technology Co., China), the structure of hydrogel composition - by microscopic (ROW Rathenow, Germany) examination. Based on the conducted studies have been established, that the hydrogel composition N6 is distinguished by its best properties compared to other hydrogel compositions, in which the carboxymethylcellulose was used as a base. The conducted studies became the basis for the development of the formula and technological scheme of production for the hydrogel of Ardagani lake sulfide silt peloid of Adjara region. The results of determining the main characteristics of the given gel provide the desired quality and efficiency of the product.

RESUMO

Medicinal muds, so called Peloids in the last decade attract attention in many countries as effective means for the treatment- preventive, and perfumery-cosmetic purposes. It has been established that the possibilities of this formation of nature are not limited to the many-year experience of the mankind. In terms of further improvement of the human social sphere, nowadays peloids are referred to as XXI century material. The aim of the research was to study the physical-chemical characteristics, such as: humidity, pH, ash content, bulk (volumetric) density and organoleptic properties of sulphide silt peloids of some Adjara region lakes, as well as to determine the content of mineral and organic compounds (humic and organic acids). The objects of the study were the sulphide silt peloids of some Adjara region lakes: Mtsvane, Gasaliani, Shratiani, Nurigeli, Ardagani and Niphi. The main good quality indicators of the sulphide silt peloids have been determined according to the methods described in the State Pharmacopoeia XI. The mineral and organic compounds in the research objects have been determined using the modern instrumental methods of analysis described in the literature. Based on the performed studies, the main physical-chemical characteristics of sulphide silt peloids of some Adjara region lakes (Mtsvane, Gasaliani, Shratiani, Nurigeli, Ardagani and Niphi) have been studied and their mineral contents (Ca-Na Feldspar, K Feldspar, Ca- Montmorillonite, Hematite, Quartz, Magnetite, Chlorite) determined. By the spectrophotometric and gravimetric methods of analysis there is established, that the sulphide silt peloids of the lakes Ardagani (1,22%), Niphi (1,72%) and Gasaliani (1,33%) are distinguished by relatively higher content of humic acids. By the Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry - method of analysis, in the study objects there is established the content of complex ethers of the following organic acids: Stearic, Palmitic, Caprylic, Myristic, Valeric, Lauric, Oxalic, Phthalic and Fumaric acids.

RESUMO

UNLABELLED: Therapeutic muds or so called peloids belong to useful minerals. They contain therapeutic active substances (micro and macro elements, vitamins, bio stimulators etc.), animated bodies and they show expressed therapeutic effectiveness. At the first stage of the research the authors study the areas where peloids are spread and define their location in Ajara region. Therefore, the map is designed. The aim of the research at this stage is to define the composition of micro and macro elements in peloids spread in Kobuleti region. Research objects: therapeutic muds (peloids) discovered in Kobuleti region, particularly, in villages Kvirike and Chakhati. RESEARCH METHODS: the up-to-date physical-chemical analysis method using EDXRF spectrophotometer and program Epsilon 5 EDXRF was employed in order to define mineral composition in the found samples. On the basis of the exploration, it is ascertained that peloids gathered in Kobuleti region contain essence micro and macro elements as well as toxical elements in small quantities. The following potentially toxical elements as germanium, lithium, thallium, wolfram and tin do not manifest themselves in the raw materials. Based on the study of mineral composition in the muds taken for analysis, we can infer that their further study in different diseases is expedient. For instance, it shall be worthwhile in the cases of diverse cardiovascular system diseases (potassium, magnesium), for complex treatment and prophylaxis in the cases of joints diseases such as osteoporosis, rheumatism (calcium) and also for the correction of those pathologies that are caused by the lack of above mentioned elements in an organism. The high consistence of silicium and existence of sulphur in both peloids cause their further study for using in cosmetic practice.
