RESUMO

The content of cytokines, and gangliosides metabolism, and the quantity of lipid peroxidation products were studied at experimental brain edema. Data obtained show increase the level of proinflammatory cytokins and decrease the level of antiinflammatory cytokines during development of brain edema. Along with this we reveal the accumulation of lipid peroxidation products (diene conjugates, hydroperoxides, and malonic dialdehyde). Each fraction of gangliosides decreased, but the product of their hydrolytic dissociation sphingosine increased at experimental brain edema.

RESUMO

The content of lipid peroxidation products and the metabolism of gangliosides and galactosylceramides in brain tissue were studied in the presence of ischemia and when an agent containing nicotinic acid and cysteine is administered. The above agent was found to have an antioxidative effect that was evident in the lower levels of lipid peroxides and in the normalized qualitative and quantitative content of galactosylceramides and gangliosides.

RESUMO

Quantitative shifts in the content of interleukine-1, -2 and -6 of the myocardium of mice under the conditions of acoustic stress and delta-sleep inducing peptide action are studied. It has been shown that injection of delta-sleep inducing peptide has no effect on the level of interleukine-1 and -2 in the myocardial tissue, whereas the quantity of interleukine-6 increased. The level of interleukine-1- and -6 in the myocardium were increased and no significant changes were observed in the level of interleukine-2 under the noise action. Interleukine-1- and -2 were not detected in the hypophysis of experimental animals of all groups (intact, under acoustic stress, under delta-sleep inducing peptide application). The level of interleukine-6 in the hypothalamus decreased under conditions of acoustic stress, whereas administration of delta-sleep inducing peptide has no effect on its level. The obtained data are considered in the context of immune modulating properties of delta-sleep inducing peptide.

RESUMO

Unilateral ganglionsympathetectomy-removal of right upper cervical sympathetic ganglia and its combination with acute acoustic stress results in intensification of process of free radical oxidation of lipids and balance disturbance between components of antioxidative and pro-oxidative system of blood. Changes of composition and activity Cu, Zn-superoxide dismutase, catalase activity and contents of catalase, ceruloplasmin, transferrin and metalloproteins pro-oxidative action such as (cytochromes b558(I), b558(II), b558(III), b558(IV)) as well as O2-producing lipoprotein suprol and cytochromes b5 are evidence of compensating-adoptive function disturbances with according changes in blood, relatively to adaptive-trophic function of sympathetic system, its regulative role, in system of tissue metabolic conversion, which is directed, in particular, on compensation of anti-radical protection of cells.

RESUMO

alpha-Tocopherol acetate, used for repeated treatment within a year of weavers working under highly uncomfortable conditions (the level of noise up to 90 dB), was shown to exhibit the regulating effect on the rate of lipid peroxidation and on content of alpha-tocopherol and cholesterol in blood plasma and erythrocyte membranes as well as on the ratios alpha-tocopherol acetate/total lipids, alpha-tocopherol acetate/cholesterol in blood plasma and cholesterol/alpha-tocopherol acetate in erythrocyte membranes. The vitamin decreased distinctly the atherogenicity coefficient; these data suggest that treatment with tocopherol is essential for prophylaxis of noise-produced impairments.

RESUMO

Repeated administration of synthetic antioxidant gamma-propanol, 3,5-ditertbutyl-4-hydroxyphenyl propanol, into rats under conditions of acoustic noise led to increase in content of phospholipids, to decrease in cholesterol level simultaneously with inhibition of ATPase activity in erythrocyte membranes. The initial hypocholesterolemic effect of gamma-propanol under conditions of acute acoustic stress was replaced by hypercholesterolemia in long-term experiments within more than 4 weeks.

RESUMO

Metabolism of phospholipids-glycerides was studied in rat erythrocyte membranes under conditions of acute and chronic acoustic stress. Acoustic stress was accompanied by significant qualitative and quantitative alterations both in total phospholipids and in neutral and acid phospholipids (NPL and APL, respectively). The increase in content of neutral phospholipids was more distinct as compared with that of acid phospholipids. The pronounced alterations in physico-chemical properties of the membranes were apparently related to an increase in alpha-tocopherol acetate content of the erythrocyte membrane phospholipids and the level of endogenous alpha-tocopherol was normalized.

RESUMO

Experiments on random-bred white male rats have demonstrated the activation of induced lipid peroxidation in red cell membranes, elevation on the basal level of plasma lipid peroxides, a decrease in the content of alpha-tocopherol in plasma and red blood cell membranes, considerable shifts in the content of esterified and free cholesterol in plasma and red blood cell membranes under prolonged acoustic stress (91 dB). Administration of alpha-tocopheryl acetate in a dose of 1 mg/kg exerted a beneficial effect on the test parameters under prolonged acoustic stress.
