[Prognosis in gestosis]. / Prognozirovaniie veroiatnosti razvitiia gestozov.

Red cell osmotic and peroxide resistance characteristics were used in the diagnosis of preclinical forms of gestosis in pregnant women. These parameters reduced 2 and 1.2 times vs. the reference values 7-8 weeks before the manifestation of gestosis clinical symptoms. Using the mathematical method of standardized intensive parameters, the authors have developed a prognostic table for the prediction of late gestosis development, that permitted a correct prediction of pregnancy course in 72.2% of women during the first trimester of pregnancy.

[Effect of maternal genotype characteristics on fetal adaptation to intra- and extrauterine conditions]. / Vliianie genotipicheskikh osobennostei organizma materi na adaptatsiiu ploda k vnutriutrobnoi i vneutrobnoi zhizni.

Effects of the maternal genotype on the fetal and neonatal compensatory-adaptive patterns have been examined in 1396 newborns. Correlations were found between the ante- and intrapartum progress, physical development of the newborns, early neonatal course and the maternal phenotype. Maternal-fetal compatibility was found to influence the neonatal status and later morbidity and mortality. The maternal phenotype should be considered in the evaluation of risks during the development of medical and preventive activities.

[Use of computers in the roentgenological diagnosis of gynecologic diseases]. / EVM v rentgenodiagnostike ginekologicheskikh zabolevanii.

The authors analyze the use of computers in x-ray examinations of gynecologic patients. X-ray signs of infertility, endometritis, tuberculosis, myoma, malignant tumors, etc. were formalized. A total of 131 patients were examined and a council of physicians for these cases was computer-simulated. Variants of computer-processed x-ray diagnoses are presented, their informativeness indexes ranging from 0 to 100%. Programmed processing may be realized via SM-4, SM-1420, IZOT-1016C, Electronika 100-25 computers. The FORTRAN program language was employed to make up the programs.

[Clinico-morphologic changes in the feto-placental complex in neonatal pathology]. / Kliniko-morfologicheskie izmeneniia feto-platsentarnogo kompleksa pri patologii novorozhdennykh.

Organs of newborns expired in the early neonatal period were studied as were histological, histochemical and ultrastructural alterations in the placentas of fetuses with a history of chronic intrauterine hypoxia (45 cases). The findings compared with the similar investigations conducted in the females with physiological pregnancy and labor were suggestive of the interrelation of placental alterations and structural lesions in the liver and myocardium of the newborn.
