RESUMO
We present a case of small bowel perforation after migration of an endoscopically inserted biliary stent inside an incarcerated hernia sac. A review of the literature revealed no other report of stent morbidity associated with hernias. The management and implications are discussed.

There are an increasing number of reports concerning complications after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. We report a case of persistent elevation of serum alkaline phosphatase and spillage of several gallstones through an abdominocutaneous sinus tract to the umbilicus with spontaneous resolution.

An unusual case of primary adenocarcinoma of the terminal ileum with a clinical and radiographic appearance simulating Crohn's disease is presented. This example further supports the concept that terminal ileal disease should not immediately be equated with regional enteritis.

A case of eosinophilic gastritis that presented with a gastric mass and simulated a malignancy is described. The patient underwent a gastric resection, developed a recurrence and then had a spontaneous remission. His radiographic, endoscopic, histologic, and electron microscopic findings are discussed. A review of the literature on eosinophilic gastroenteritis is included.
